I always assumed that he was supposed to be in the shuttle and they just didn't or couldn't code it in. Either way it isn't great level design to have a computer directly next to a rocket launching pad.

Something interesting I learned recently... These spawning elite only appear if the first three guards in the level are killed. Each one corresponds to a spawner. If you can avoid them (good luck!) then the elites won't appear after defeating Jaws. But, during my tests of this, there is a high chance they kill themselves with a grenade, haha.
@@jontargaryen3168 Yeah, you probably can't really skip them, as they will nail you in the back as you attempt to leave the room. They would remain an issue into the next section, unless they do blow themselves up. Either way, you would likely sustain heavy injury in the process. It is more an observation on how the spawn guards work, and less a suggestion to try for avoiding their appearance.
@@WreckSeven And let's not forget that the second room puts you in the line of sight of some more Moonraker Elites who will definitely hit you repeatedly, too.
@someonejust5062 It's probably Control with all the randomness trying to protect Natayla. 2nd is Train once again trying to get off the perfect shot to hit the General and Xenia at the same time. It can be random. None are really difficult once you nail down the exploits.
I still remember when I unlocked this level playing on secret agent difficulty (somewhere around summer of ‘99). Took me a good bit to beat the level, this made it look so easy!
Wow, I played this game off and on since it came out clear up until 2010, and I never even thought of luring Jaws further inside the level to avoid spawning the guards.
This is clever and really makes the stage a lot easier if you choose not to go for any glass lure strats. The spawning guards can be a headache specially (of course) on 00.
Actually playing through this game rn. Quick tip i picked up, that trick is for any enemies. Its actually a strategy for the Military Archives mission. If you get right in their face they just cant register a hit.
Depends on the animation and gun, it works better with dual wielding enemies like Jaws specially since they're so long. Shorter guns like pistols or Klobbs they'll most likely hit you. But yes it often is a nice alternative to cover.
Dure años sin jugar Golden eye pero gracias a tus videos cuando volví a jugarlo me ayudaron mucho y el nivel EGIPTIAN lo pude desbloquear y usar todas las armas
The stairs were always the way to go. This level used to feel so frustrating until you learned all the little quirks to manipulate the ai so enemies can't line up their shots. And even then, this level was brutal. Even on agent
Another note: when you shoot him and see the animation of him flinching to the shots, no need to worry too much about getting shot anymore at that point, just take the laser out, keep shooting until he drops!
It's key to shoot him on the stairs until he begins to grunt which means that his "armor" is gone and he will react with an animation with each shot, preventing him from shooting you if you continuously shoot him by the door.
There’s a cubby that you can hide at the top of the stairs by the entrance to the shuttle room. Jaws “hugs” you himself and he’s easy to kill. I just recently beat this on double agent and found it by accident after dying like 20 times in a row, lol.
I remember when I had the game and I was trying to get past the trap of this mission. Then my local friend comes with the Nintendo Power magazine to get past the level 😂
This level still confuses me at times with the way guards spawn Towards the end. It seems the slower I am the more guards spawn and they’re faster. The quicker I go the less guards pop up. Maybe it’s just me.
It depends on your location. Some guards may spawn in the big launch area if you're not around there, while they'll spawn back at the starting area if that's where you are when you take down Jaws.
How to beat jaws the graslu way Step 1 grab your massive balls of steel Step 2 run up on him and watch him shit his pants Step 3 slap that man like he owes you money Step 4 watch as every henchmen in the room cowers in fear due to being in the presence of the goldeneye ELDERGOD Step 5 raise your goldeneye world championship above your head and bask in the glory of your greatness
When playing on Xbox, does anyone know how to set up the controls so that when you ADS with target reticle showing, you can move the target without strafing or moving the character side to side. (The N64 controls defaulted to this when the original game was released) Currently it’s very hard to be precise with aiming the way the Xbox controls are configured.
Go to settings and disable centered crosshair or something like that. Keep in mind that there's no way to lean like on N64 sadly. They butchered the game with that release.
@@Graslu00 I know but I've gotten the door open before without even trying vs just fighting Jaws. I'm simply putting it out there that you have another option.
Since this was my first exposure to James Bond, when I first saw Jaws’ face, I mistook his teeth for a mustache.
Im so glad im not the only one who thought that !
He makes Adolf H. look like a bunny rabbit compared 2 him. 🐰
Watch The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker and you'll know Jaws
