No the Xbox one was way better it just made the game exactly the same but this was better graphics the most important thing about this game is the sound effects and the way that the guys died anytime they do any of these other remakes they take away the sound effects and the way of the guys die that's what makes it GoldenEye
@@JustinCase-my5vc the remake was quite different because it is technically a Craig-era adaptation of Goldeneye, with the graphics limitations of the time ( i think it was originally a Nintendo exclusive again, either WII or WII U ) adapted to Xbox 360 and PS3. We're talking about 10 years old tech versus the latest Far Cry released tech. That being said, the modder did a great job adapting a Far Cry game mechanics to a Bond movie... and should be able to make it clear that perhaps it's time to get more Bond in Games :)

@@bobs8005 the developers said it themselves. 8 of the 10 developers had never worked on a game before. The team was small and very inexperienced, with most members being fresh out of college. It's actually a very well known fact by now.
These maps are incredible, and Yannick's soundtrack is pure Eric Serra. Both of these guys did unfathomably stellar jobs! Thanks for bringing this to us Gras

@@DangerConGame I know right?? When I think of Goldeneye, Leon the Professional, Atlantis, and even something like Nikita...that sound, this sound, is pure 90s. He is one of my favorite composers, and his styles takes me back to being a kid. Of course, you incorporate more modern/your own elements into it and it definitely works. You did a fantastic job on this whole album, you should be very proud of your work :)

The original game design was all about the N64 console. Being played on a controller and without the aim and movement references of more modern shooters, the gameplay was much slower, which combined with more stealthy strategies. The work done here with Far Cry 5 is very well adapted in that sense, including joining the 2 stages into one.

I’m very nostalgic about the original goldeneye 007 But I have to say this version is far better in my opinion It is more interactive and there is more that you can do in this version that you can’t do in any other version

Chist, it honestly looks like a fan created a better "remake" of GoldenEye 007 than any other company has officially managed to date, and all of this in a level editor for another game no less. Although, to be fair, I actually really did enjoy that GoldenEye 007 remake on Wii, and I mean the Wii version specifically.

Unfortunately they got a cease and desist notification from the original James Bond rights holder. They had to change things a bit to remove big part of bond's identity from the game but still keeping it spy-like, meaning they had to scrap part of they work. They changed the project name now to Spies Don't Die
The song in this level is more reminiscent to the movies music than the n64 games. This song sounds almost exactly like the song that plays during the movie when the alarm goes off inside the gas room and the guards start pouring in
Absolutely loved this music adapted to every new area everything so fluidly worked together Even what you were wearing resembled the tactical gear brosnan was wearing! Hiding behind the truck and firing at them was reenacted well And the flyby over the explosion with the plane! A truly excellent fan remake! ❤❤❤
The big homie G just put on another show for us. Salute! Once you hopped in the truck it was over. Went from video game to movie, instantly! I know you could easily wipe out all the enemies and finish the level but I appreciate your showmanship. Why couldnt Ubisoft go this in depth with some of their Indoor Areas? Like the Mine Shafts/Caves were cool, but being able to go into a big building to find Jacob or something wouldve been really good. They also have so many unique and cool Enemy Models, that they never even used. They made all these models but still made the peggies with all the same 3 character models. They had all this at their disposal and just didnt use it. at least we can!!!

I think combining the Dam, Facility, and Runway into one big level would provide a fun and engaging challenge. I understand the separation because of memory and resource limitations, but I would certainly pay for it!
I can only imagine how perfect this would be if Pierce Brosnan and Sean Bean were brought back to reprise their roles as Bond and Trevelyan and we got some dialogue. Everything here from the music and design captures the vibes from the original game and even movie fantastically. This is what the 2010 game should've been.
Why don't game studios hire fans like this to collaborate on remakes? I've noticed in the last couple of years that fan remakes of classic games almost always tend to be superior in every way and you can tell that the people making them actually give a rip and aren't just upping the frame rate, slapping a thin coat of HD paint on it, and then rushing it out the door for full price.
Haven’t played FC5 in ages but will fire it back up just to play this. It looks better than the actual goldeneye remake! And the bond theme starting in the soundtrack at 6:40 was epic- proper finale music.
This is the version Goldeneye/we deserves, why can’t Microsoft/Nintendo/Rare/Activision agree and get a proper remake done?, Can’t believe they even re-released it like this, and it looks horrific, with barely any QOL improvement and the FPS dips game is so jittery even on a series X 😮
Not Microsoft/Nintendo/Rare/Activision. Activision has no say on anything Bond related or GoldenEye - they never worked on the N64 version and they lost the Bond licensing in 2012. Microsoft/Nintendo/Rare has no creative control over the franchise or the game either. It's all on MGM and Danjaq/Barbara Broccoli.

The music is edited in post, the Russian voices is just setting the game to Russian but keeping English text.

Haven’t played FC5 in ages but will fire it back up just to play this. It looks better than the actual goldeneye remake! And the bond theme starting in the soundtrack at 6:40 was epic- proper finale music.

This is the version Goldeneye/we deserves, why can’t Microsoft/Nintendo/Rare/Activision agree and get a proper remake done?, Can’t believe they even re-released it like this, and it looks horrific, with barely any QOL improvement and the FPS dips game is so jittery even on a series X 😮
Not Microsoft/Nintendo/Rare/Activision. Activision has no say on anything Bond related or GoldenEye - they never worked on the N64 version and they lost the Bond licensing in 2012. Microsoft/Nintendo/Rare has no creative control over the franchise or the game either. It's all on MGM and Danjaq/Barbara Broccoli.

The Goldeneye Remaster was an appetizer while this feels like the main course! Everything is pretty much spot on here, an coupled with this guys Goldeneye N64 OST Remake - th-cam.com/video/TyspweHYBd4/w-d-xo.html (could maybe be a toggle option Music: Modern (FC5) / Classic (N64) or used exclusively for multiplayer matches).
