Nice conversion 👍🏻. As an upcoming gas engineer your videos have been really helpful and informative - especially wiring and fault finding. Keep up the great content 💪🏻
Quality work lads. Great pipe bending which looks so professional looking....compared to the previous install with the flexi connectors which was a total mess. As for the schoolboy error....we all make them buddy. Your videos are superb and very enjoyable, keep them coming. 👍
I worked in local authority blocks for many years. Lots of them the vents join in the loft and then have a single vent into the communal tank. Also a lot of those old pipes are imperial 3/4 so not always easy to connect to🤷🏼♂️
Thank you 🙌🏾 You can get the head torch from here unilite.co.uk/product/cri-h200r/ Also if you use my discount code UNCLE you'll get 25% off your total purchase 👍🏾
Maybe a dust sheet or four to protect the worktops etc ?? not a bad vid tho, but not my choice of combi to put in.. :P keep up the good work and don't forget the dust sheets.... :)
As someone new to the trade, for a system like this, the vent pipes that go up to the tank, can you technically speaking cut the vent from the top and remove the whole section of pipe or is somehow the vent pipe all linked from flat to flat? Only ever worked on houses so this has thrown me a bit, any insight chigs thanks
Yes in theory you're correct, you might just get a MASSIVE piece of scrap copper 😂 but I've heard some people say they can also ask tee in somewhere above and we wouldn't know
@@cputilitysolutionshow would they tee in? Under what circumstances would they tee in to the vent pipe that would make logical sense? If the job was say on the middle floor; would you still have terminated the pipework with the vent cut and capped and the hot outlet pipe the exact same way? Sorry for so many questions lol.
@@GasTraining yes still would have done it the same way. Like I said it's a theory I've not seen it myself before but some have said it can be done like that. I would think they would be tee'd in much further up towards the CWST

Nice one mate 👊🏾
Close shave 🪒 on that expansion pipe 😂😂,
I’d say most people missed it on the video 😂,
👍👍🤜
Definitely mate, I should have done a poll before the vid to see how many people would have spotted it or done the same 😅

Gotcha, good thing I capped the bottom end of the vent on my end too just in case 😅
Saved by the bell. Close call Chirag. As usual another fantastic video. Don’t worry onwards and upwards
Thank you 👍🏾
I remember this on your insta. I messaged you saying I hadn’t spotted it either 😂
I prob should have done a poll on how many people actually spotted it or missed it like how I did 😅
It was narrow escape with the vent pipe. Nice work Uncle. 😅
It was indeed! 😅
Why did you not cap it off before the draw off?@@cputilitysolutions
@@56ty78ui I just didn't 🤷🏾♂️

Them Main Eco Compacts are great boilers for the price basically a Baxi 600
@@MrElliott1979 I used to fit them a lot until they jacked the prices up
The box that the boiler came in is often good to protect worktops against knocks and they dont slide around.
@@gibbodive140 thanks 👍🏾
That old vent / hot water, would it not be better to cut it down and cap? Could be a dead leg legionella risk?
It was coming up from concrete and there wasn't much room or play to cut it much further down

Best in the game!!!!!
My bro 👊🏾👊🏾
Did you need to cap the bottom of the vent pipe is that not a dead pipe? Cheers
Did it just to be sure as don't want to risk any water coming back
That was close😅
Very! 🤦🏾♂️
where's the dustsheets in kitchen?
Kitchen being redone 👍🏾
Communal vent pipe in 22mm ? Volume of water would say no
Thanks 👍🏾
Flushing through the plate?? ??
No, boiler was isolated 👍🏾
