Why is there no method to remove repeat content claims from the same claimant? The same company claims the same song every time I post a video, and I successfully validate my music rights. There needs to be a way to directly contact claimants to stop the harassment. Why can a company make a claim and withhold their contact information? I pay for my music in order to stop any potential claims, yet they come again and again from Adrev. Why are they not penalized for a false claim?
See the problem is at 2:30, where disputes shouldn't be done unless 'we' have all the rights for the claimed content. There is no path for us to report when the 'claimant' doesn't have all the rights for the claimed content. 90% of the music claims I get are people who have taken music from a video game, 'remixed' it, then released that somewhere. They do not have the rights to do that nor the rights to be claiming the music from all gameplay videos. So in this situation, neither I nor the claimant have ALL the rights to the claimed content, but I have to prove I have the rights when they don't. Claimants should have to submit proof of their rights to the claimed content. Then, because they're already bad actors, of course they are going to reject any disputes. They're just trying to steal ad revenue. The only next step for us creators is to provide these bad actors with out CONTACT INFO. That is a serious security risk for any creator! We already have to deal with stalking, harassment, and scammers, and these bad actors will just get our contact info for abusing the Content-ID system. This is just an easy way for bad actors to get creators' contact info.
Upload a video of the "Final Fantasy" series and receive 99.9% false allegations. The other party ignores it for a month and then withdraws it 99.9% of the time.
@@SekaiHiroshi Yeah I made a Final Fantasy 7 video and got a copyright claim for the intro music. Someone has used a sample of that in a 'remix' and is claiming videos on TH-cam. However 9 out of 10 times I dispute, my dispute is rejected by the claimant. I think the bigger the channel the more likely they reject disputes because they can steal more money. I know people who get the exact same claim as I do. They dispute and it's withdrawn. I dispute and they maintain the claim.
I uploaded a short from a video that had a remix option & got a strike. Why would a content owner allow a video to be remixed & then give the user a strike? In the video I could see that it was recorded from a spectators view. Maybe the venue had banned recording & the user pirated the performance & I got caught up in the mix. The Remix option is a Trojan Horse 🐴

I propose that TH-cam force the claimant to submit proof of copyright within 30 days, otherwise the claim is not approved. I also propose that the claimant duly inform their contact information, validating the information to the creator.

There's such a simple solution to all these headaches! Just like you have launched creator music, consider launching Creator Video. This will give original content creators the chance to allow others to use their content but receive a percentage of add revenue. I wouldn't have issues with people using my content if I was getting a cut. The fact someone else takes my content and makes thousands of dollars from it really is frustrating. I don't see fair use as fair use anymore, it's now called fair theft! There are so many channels here that encourage every day people to steal others work and use these tactics to get around copyright. Just change the system that allows a win/win for everyone. Digital Copyright needs to be amended, the entire system.

Despite TH-cam not optioning counter claims on the mobile version of their studio, each potentially claimed identity could equate to additional $2,500.00 copyfraud penalties. You should get a new legal team.
*-30 days to resolve the claim seems excessive. Bring it down to 7 days.* *-Fair use exceptions are always rejected. It is an option with limited usefulness.*
I’ve had a copyright ID claim that was on a reaction video that I did on this account and the video is still there and doesn’t have a claim anymore by the way this happened a month ago now, but I disputed under fair use and won and I’ve had no problem’s like copyright take down request or anything like that, I believe why the ID claim was released on my reaction video is that I give full credit to the original channel that I got the footage from that I’m reacting to and when you see the reaction channels that get copyright striked and eventually accumulate 3 copyright strikes they get terminated is because they were not using fair use and that’s why possible disputes were rejected and the copyright owners patience, war thin. And within 5 days the copyright claim was released from my reaction video after being in dispute for 5 days.
How about if a creator gives you permission through email to use his or her content like Countdown Timers and others, then the creator claims your revenue when your videos start making money. In this case, what actions should I take to resolve it since he gave me permission to use it through email?
When I use any commercial Music of films in my videos, I regarded it as totally O.K. that the copyright owner gets the monetarization rights. But what could be made better, is that the TH-cam creator get a small share of monetarization. Because the video is also an advertisement for the musics owner. So the Upload filter process is fairly well made. But the sharing system between multiple music owner could be expanded to an small share for the "Music Video Producer" which use the Music in any Video.
The video is "an advertisement for the music's owner?" If you have a million subscribers, maybe you could make that argument. But the large channels aren't usually the ones using music without permission. It's the little channels that most often pirate someone else's hard work and claim "My 30 views gave you free pub!" LOL! Artists and other content creators deserve the right to choose who "advertises" for them. You don't get to make that choice for them.

That may be what happens in SOME cases, but in many other cases the video is flagged and either entirely demonetized or removed from the platform.... The original argument was whether you, as a video creator, have the right to just choose whatever copyrighted material you wish to use and then claim you are giving the rightful owner "publicity." Hypothetically... Say you have a copyright strike for 1 minute out of your 45 minute video? You didn't do anything to fix it. As you have discussed how to fix it here. Does that owner of the copyrighted material only get a small amount of money for your video? Or do they get the entire profit of your other 44 minutes of content you created too? Just curious how that works. Also say two different areas of your 45 minute video. Say 2 minutes of two different copyright owners. A minute each. Say it is a song. Do they both get a portion of the money your video makes? Then you get a portion because you created the other 43 minutes of the video? Sorry if this sounds confusing. Just curious.

There should be another dispute option "Content not in video" or "Incorrect Match" so creators can dispute claims that are basically non-existent! And also, TH-cam should force their distributor partners to require the "claimant" to verify they have a valid copyright claim to what they want to claim before the claim is even accepted in the system! And my last note on the topic (for now), I've noticed for just about every claim, there is an associated "topic" video. Claimants (and/or their distributors) should be required to upload a topic video as Unlisted or Public, and include the video in their Content ID application. Then, when a creator receives a Content ID claim, it will save the creator the hassle of tracking down the alleged content used, and they will be provided a link to the topic video of the copyrighted content's origin!

@TH-cam Creators, you should investigate 3ANTS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIES SL. Their job is to delete copyrighted content uploaded without permission on the internet, but in reality they are also reporting videos with false copyright infringement for no real reason. Not only do they completely ignore the right to fair use, but they've even removed vlogs entirely devoid of third-party material claiming copyright infringement. Do a quick Google search on their name - you will find dozens of complaints from creators who lost their videos (and even their channels) due to false copyright infringement without the possibility of dispute. This company also does not respond to emails and phone calls; this supports the thesis that it is in all respects a real scam to the detriment of both their own customers as well as content creators. And all this has been going on for years.
All of this is untolerable! Please, TH-cam, do something to protect your content creators!

Until you have some rando submit a counter notification on your video that they have no rights to use in order to save their channel after stealing content and then you got to pay a lawyer to keep it down. Way to not help the original creator youtube.

And also, TH-cam should force their distributor partners to require the "claimant" to verify they have a valid copyright claim to what they want to claim before the claim is even accepted in the system!
And my last note on the topic (for now), I've noticed for just about every claim, there is an associated "topic" video. Claimants (and/or their distributors) should be required to upload a topic video as Unlisted or Public, and include the video in their Content ID application. Then, when a creator receives a Content ID claim, it will save the creator the hassle of tracking down the alleged content used, and they will be provided a link to the topic video of the copyrighted content's origin!

You still call the claimants the "Copyright Owners" when in most cases the "Copyright Owners" are a bunch of low-life scammers who EXPLOIT YOUR SEVERELY FLAWED COPYRIGHT MATCH SYSTEM.

@TH-cam Creators, you should investigate 3ANTS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIES SL.
Their job is to delete copyrighted content uploaded without permission on the internet, but in reality they are also reporting videos with false copyright infringement for no real reason. Not only do they completely ignore the right to fair use, but they've even removed vlogs entirely devoid of third-party material claiming copyright infringement.
Do a quick Google search on their name - you will find dozens of complaints from creators who lost their videos (and even their channels) due to false copyright infringement without the possibility of dispute.
This company also does not respond to emails and phone calls; this supports the thesis that it is in all respects a real scam to the detriment of both their own customers as well as content creators. And all this has been going on for years.
All of this is untolerable!
Please, TH-cam, do something to protect your content creators!
This is the only thing that really works on the Tube.

Until you have some rando submit a counter notification on your video that they have no rights to use in order to save their channel after stealing content and then you got to pay a lawyer to keep it down. Way to not help the original creator youtube.
