The effects of the downturn are beginning to sink in. People are being impacted by the long-term decline in property prices and the housing market. I recently sold my house in the Sacramento area, and I want to invest my lump-sum profit in the stock market before prices start to rise again. Is now the right moment to buy, or not?

Before you start investing, it's crucial to understand the basics of investing, different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.), and the associated risks. are you investing for retirement, buying a home, or building an emergency fund? Your goals will help shape your investment strategy.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Diversification means spreading your investments across different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate) and within those classes (different companies or industries). This helps reduce risk.
I Invest in low-cost index funds or ETFs that track broad market indices, such as the S&P 500. These funds offer diversification across a wide range of stocks and can be a more passive, low-maintenance investment option. They are suitable for investors who prefer a hands-off approach and want exposure to the overall market.
There are many independent advisors to choose from. But I work with Vivian Jean Wilhelm and we've been working together for almost four years and she's fantastic. You could pursue her if she meets your requirements. I agree with her.

Retirement is now more difficult than it was in the past. it's all about balancing your risk tolerance with your long-term goals. Maybe consider speaking to an advlsor to help in diversifying your portfolio to spread out the risk.

Hello Rose 🌹. I my ROTH is max out this year and I am working on making my first $100K on my taxable account. Thank you for starting me on this journey.
I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.
I do an SP 500 index and 10 or 20% on an ETF that's more concentrated on the top companies of the SP. So it's still not concentrated on one or a few stocks.
You can also take out a loan against your 401k and pay it back plus interest. So it’s like taking a loan from a bank and making them richer but you are the bank in this case!
Hey Rose, how do you swap stocks without selling(Ex. Swapping MSFT with AAPL stocks with the same dollar value) in Robinhood? For example, if I have MSFT but wants to swap my MSFT with AAPL stock instead, with the same dollar value and not triggering capital gain for tax purposes? Thank you!!
Honestly, this situation makes me feel uneasy, especially with the possibility of a depression rather than just a recession. Given the economic uncertainty, I'm unsure about how to approach my $130K investment strategy.
Bonds are somewhat confusing to me. I heard that the older one is the higher percentage of Bonds they should have. Bonds are doing terrible and losing money,
Agreed. My bond index funds & ETFs did terrible and will only use treasury direct from now on to purchase actual bonds from the government to avoid losing value on investing in bonds
And even lazy investing, as long as you keep doing it will make you more money than not doing it at all, espcially if your have all your debits paid off.
Active investing can be learned, like Phil Town's courses which are excellent. Doing it yourself is a lot better than choosing a managed fund, which I agree is a worse choice than buying index funds. However, age is another factor, all good for those of you in your 20s and 30s. Those of us in our 60s have fewer options.
Thanks for another great video Rose. I have been investing for quite a while at this point... I still do S&P 500 index funds with 90% of my investments. Yes, I have friends who had success with Nvidia and Tesla as well as others, but very rarely do you hear people talking about the loses they took on individual stocks. You can totally beat the S&P 500 with a lot of research and some luck, but I have a family I would rather pay attention to. If you know people who actively manage their investments, you realize how much of their brain space and time it takes... it is often a lot of what they talk about. I just smile and say - "I just do index funds and I am happy with my 9.6% average return a year" and then continue to talk about my family and other interests. Nothing wrong with getting heavily into the research and spending a lot of your free time researching stocks, but you don't have to if you don't want to and you can still build wealth.
There is an equal market chance associated with each crash or collapse. I have seen people accumulate up to $1 million during a crisis, and even make it work in a strong economy if they are prepared and well-informed. Without a doubt, the bubble/collapse is making someone wealthy.

In these uncertain times, it's more important than ever to have a solid understanding of how to manage your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. But my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy.
Very nice job covering the basics. I am sharing this not to brag but to show what’s possible. I’m retired and I have 2 separate portfolios. One is a long term growth dividend portfolio of stocks where i sell covered calls strategically and my 2nd portfolio is the Crypto trading strategy where its all about income. This year I am on pace to make $120K in realized options profits and around $730K in crypto profit... What is great is that my long-term portfolio is still up significantly as well. As such, it’s possible to generate excellent income but still have a total return perspective. ...Amidst this, the insights of a knowledgeable guide like that of Sandy Barclays can be crucial. Her expertise in navigating the nuances of trading has been the key for Me understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends.
Over the years, I've been a part of numerous trading programs, sifting through a barrage of information. Yet, nothing has come close to the sheer clarity, depth, and precision of Sandy insights. It's akin to finding a diamond in a coal mine.
Sandy’s expertise in customizing investment portfollos based on changing market conditions and personal risk profiles is exceptional it's not a one size-fits-all approach, which is crucial in crypto investing.
It’s based on your modified adjusted gross income and filing status. Single filers less than $161k and $240k for joint. Both come with a max contribution limit
Wish Roth had a higher income limit. The current limit is very constricting. Can't earn much before you can't add to the account anymore... There is a backdoor conversion but that's also a whole thing.
0-1M get a 10k loan. Invest into crypto cycle years in stocks such as Bchg ltcn and grayscale. You’ll come out with 200-500k then wait for next cycle and you’ll be a millionaire so 5 years
Started in July. I just need to do the Roth Part. Just need to get my First 10k in and clear a small amount of Margin (the SCHD stock split forced my hand lol)but my finances are static for at least the next 8 months so I should be fine(rent increases are usually in June. If I don't get one my contribution is going up baby! Because for 13 years my wage has gone up...). Plus some Brokerages let you contribute to your NEXT year. So, if a Account conversion forces me to the Cap immediately, I should be good.
Financial Freedom = Freedom. Pretty simple. Buying aapl in 2000 was easy compared to finding unicorns today. But back then all the pundits said they were going no where so one had to have conviction. Buffet and others got rich via a few good bets.
Actively managed investment funds perform poorly. An individual just picking their own stocks can outperform them and they don't have to pay a silly amount of fees
2 Questions- 1. I am currently not working and my income is zero. Can I open a Roth IRA with my past earned income? 2. Market rn midOct24 is very volatile & at all time high. Is it a good time to invest using DCA rn?
I have an acorn account and find it hard to understand. I set up my account with a $50 each month and have not seen it grow much. I am thinking of moving my funds to Fidelity and opening a broker account. Good luck
Always love listening to you Rose, you're beautiful and brilliant. I just don't agree with your Dollar Cost Averaging claim. I always max out my Roth IRA, and 401k as quickly as possible in the beginning of the year. As Warren Buffett and others have said "it's not timing the market, it's time in the market". Maxing out early in the year maximizes on the "time in the market" idea. The book Simple Path to Wealth also did an analysis on maxing out early versus dollar cost averaging and it was shown that maxing out early almost always wins.
I've just begun learning about value investing, and I've found that many good stocks are undervalued despite their intrinsic value. If you had $200,000 to create a strong investment portfolio, which stocks would you choose for better returns?
Dividend Stock and REITs. As interest going down, I think these two asset types are going to be more attractive. Besides getting dividend income, I expect them to get appreciation in value as well.
Directionally, this makes sense. I'm reluctant to get into REITS generally because of debt on assets and my personal need for more tax efficient distributions (e.g., return of capital). One ETF I have is $SCHD which produces Qualified Dividend. The yield is lower than money market but total growth + dividend is close to S&P 500.

You touched on brokerage firms allow direct transfers. Nobody is telling viewers about the conduit to investing like brokerage firms.
Good video. If I started in 2024 I would have to get over not starting earlier because the charts of so many great stocks and ETFs have risen greatly in the past years. Equity investing is awesome though, better now than never.
As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?.
DCAing amongst various assets is a good strategy and can help reduce the impact of market volatility and thus a good strategy if you are looking to compound . However it is important to consider financial advisory when investing .
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

This was so informative!! Thank you for this!
which option is best to invest in
Bonds are somewhat confusing to me. I heard that the older one is the higher percentage of Bonds they should have. Bonds are doing terrible and losing money,
Agreed. My bond index funds & ETFs did terrible and will only use treasury direct from now on to purchase actual bonds from the government to avoid losing value on investing in bonds
From what I've read and seen they're supposed to do good when stocks do bad. But lately the market for bonds hasn't done good, weird times.
Good stuff. Financial foundation is key. Have to change your financial mindset to make money.
@Rose-channelI you can expect to be reported. I have zero tolerance for fakers and scammers.
Hey Rose. wheres the thanks donation option on your page?
Nothing wrong with getting heavily into the research and spending a lot of your free time researching stocks, but you don't have to if you don't want to and you can still build wealth.
could you do an episode on capital losses and capital gains, how to maximize each and tax loss harvesting.
There is an equal market chance associated with each crash or collapse. I have seen people accumulate up to $1 million during a crisis, and even make it work in a strong economy if they are prepared and well-informed. Without a doubt, the bubble/collapse is making someone wealthy.
investors like you should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder.
good info, thanks Rose
Thanks for your channel. I sent this episode to my daughter, you covered a bazooka of concepts in an easy to understand format. I hope she acts on it. I did give her a “get started fund” as a kick starter. Thanks glad I found your channel.
Thank you for this info!! 😁😁
HOLA ROSE! SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO....🇲🇽
Need more Blcktken300 content. Converted my ETH to BTC but kept my Blcktken300
I came across your channel through this video-case studies are incredibly valuable, and I'm eager to see more in the future! Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments.
You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.
That sounds like a good plan. In the past two years, working closely with a financial market specialist, I've built a six-figure diversified stock portfolio. Now, I aim to diversify even more this year.
Great info Rose!
ROSE...THIS IS K.O.!! Amazing to meet you in the beach today. Keep blessing everyone with your great information.
Hey! Likewise! :)
I love the traveling sunbeam! Also, great introductory breakdown, thank you!
I started watching your videos. I appreciate the information and knowledge you provide about investing.
The one constructive feedback I have is that you speak too fast. Please slow down you speech.
Otherwise, keep up the great work and continue to educate us. Thank you!
You seem really nice, and the information I got from the first video of yours that I watched has helped start me on my way, but every one of your videos is the same information just reordered or said in a different way. Bummer, too. I really thought I'd eventually get some great insight from you as I watched more and more of your videos. Alas! You're simply a broken record. Thanks for at least getting me started.
Do it. Blcktken300 already in my bags. I had a Blcktken300 after ( your should I buy ) and I agreed and bought. I'm looking to stack more, too.
the money supply is going up at the same rate as the s&p index so most investment gains aren't really gains at all
Just FYI, it seems your volume is all over the place on this video. I’ve never experienced this on your channel before, so I thought I’d mention it. Otherwise, another great video.
What do you think about dividend mutual funds. Any suggestions?
can i ask you what do you think now i'm 20 years and i invest every month 150$ in etf(ishares core MSCI world UCITS ETS USD) and 50$ in bitcoin and 50$ in etherium i do wrong ? or no
What’re your thoughts on life insurance as an investment tool?
Search 'Clark Howard term life insurance'. Don't do whole life. It's insurance not an investment.
Consider speaking with a financial market expertise
So, do you have to pay tax on index funds each year even if you don't take any money out?
No. Just when you sell. If you sell within 1 year of purchase, you incur capital gains tax as well.
@@59thfsaviation79 awesome, thanks for this information.
@@59thfsaviation79 Many thanks for this information.
Investing money and time is a force multiplier par excellence.
She mostly interacts on Telegrams, using the user-name.
@SandyBarclays
Over the years, I've been a part of numerous trading programs, sifting through a barrage of information. Yet, nothing has come close to the sheer clarity, depth, and precision of Sandy insights. It's akin to finding a diamond in a coal mine.
Trading used to be a maze for me, but with Sandy Barclays guidance, it's now a walk in the park. Highly recommend her courses!
Sandy’s expertise in customizing investment portfollos based on changing market conditions and personal risk profiles is exceptional it's not a one size-fits-all approach, which is crucial in crypto investing.
I love your channel Rose. I have the index funds with trading 212 can you suggest another easy app to use or shall I stick with trading 212?
Please invest in a microphone !! But other than that i love your videos!😊
Base.
Thank you.
Great video! I’ve been thinking about doing something similar on my channel too. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Rose! Is there an income limit for Roth IRAs?
It’s based on your modified adjusted gross income and filing status. Single filers less than $161k and $240k for joint. Both come with a max contribution limit
If you are self-employed (and have no employees), look into a SoloRoth 401-K. I was able to put 30K in last year.
Edit: No income limit
Great video Rose! Was wondering if you can make an updated vide on on the best websites and
mobile apps to buy ETFs in the long run?
Vanguard and Fidelity
Hi rose, im asian in the US and is planning to start investing but have no idea how
Contribute to a Roth 401k at work and/or Roth IRA with a broker.
Link for that index
2 Questions- 1. I am currently not working and my income is zero. Can I open a Roth IRA with my past earned income? 2. Market rn midOct24 is very volatile & at all time high. Is it a good time to invest using DCA rn?
Thanks for uploading this amazing video on investment...
Love your videos Rose!!😊
Excellent ❤
What’s the best ETF to buy
VTI or if you want higher return/risk, FTEC or VGT.
That's a solid list! I'm also big on Blcktken300 , avalanche, algo, and matic too.
hi Rose, what about platforms like acorns?
Thanks for sharing awesome tips sis! I'm 34 financially free and currently growing a solid retirement plan. it takes a positive and consistency to learn new things, unlearn the old habits is important to get a mentor/ coach to lead you all the way.its great to start young too.
Just search the name. You'd find necessary details about her.
SCAM ALERT
A retired person on youtube trying to scam people? Lol. You guys need a better shtick. This one is getting lame.
Blcktken300 anticipation is building to a fever pitch! 😥
This is the content we like! 🤙🏼
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires, thanks Charlotte Grace Miller
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Charlotte Miller, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
The very first time we tried, we invested $1400 and after a week, we received $5230. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families I'm United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I just withdrew my profits a week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills
Great content. There’s a gap in content that I’ve found with many content creators on the subject of financial freedom. Can you make the process of investment more clear. You touched on brokerage firms allow direct transfers. Nobody is telling viewers about the conduit to investing like brokerage firms.
I have not seen your videos for over a year. How was van life? You planned to live off the grid and travel.
Random question: Doesn’t it hurt your eyes with that light reflecting into yours eyes on part 2?
bruh...the audio level difference between the "ad" and the actual video...
I guess I am ultra risk lover. Even though I don't hold meme coins, I only hold Blcktken300 and ETH . Fingers crossed
Volume is not even. Mostly lower and some is higher suddenly.
That volume switch woke my dog up and damn near gave me a heart attack, thanks 😑 lmao good vid!
Good video. If I started in 2024 I would have to get over not starting earlier because the charts of so many great stocks and ETFs have risen greatly in the past years. Equity investing is awesome though, better now than never.
examples?? there r overwhelming amount of choices out there
As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing.
I will start investing in IWMY, QQQY, YMAX, RDTE and QDTE and get paid every month. Then reinvest...
The audio in this video is all over the place
Got in at Blcktken300 with $1 but I will keep it until it hits $50. Still low with that number as the market cap is not close to where it should be
One thing I don’t get is if invest in Stocks is making everyone so rich, why she mentioned about that study showing after 16 years of investing is when we have 0% of not loosing money!???
So investing is making money or loosing money???
Apart from the crashes, economical issues, doesn’t make any sense, you guys from TH-cam make money though people buying your own specific courses, which 90% of that is a complete 🐂…..!
What about massive student loans that are so big that it will take mmany years to pay off
