  • Osprey Daylite Plus Backpack Review
    I provide a detailed overview of the pack as well as some of the features and uses for it.
    One thing I forgot to mention was that it is not waterproof although you can attach a rain cover over it. It uses a Osprey size small rain cover (sold separately).

    I've watched a few other reviews of the Daylight and Plus bags, and you're the only one who mentioned and showed that the chest belt is movable vertically. Thanks for that.

    I have this pack. It's great for day hiking. Only downside I'd say is that you'll have to add a waist pack and a shoulder pocket for stuff you need to access a lot. But that's true of other daypacks as well.

    My old day lite plus of 8 years just got worn out so I sent it in to warranty and osprey said it’s toast and are giving me this one nice video so I can see the difference of the new model.

    I have the previous version with the external bladder. I love having the laptop sleeve with a clip, but I believe I know why they made the switch. After fairly extensive use for about a year, the external bladder clip starts to wear through the pack lining. I never use the bladder, so the clip hangs loosely and has begun to dig small holes and various points of wear on my pack. I love this pack and wish I would've known that before because I would've just cut it off to prevent this since I never use bladders anyway. I hope this info is of use to someone.

    I bought one of these to attach to my Aether AG 70 (about 3 years old). The triglides at the bottom line up with the cord loops fine. However, trying to squeeze the triglides through the loops is really fiddly. Not something I'd want to do regularly, certainly not when I'm feeling time pressured getting on a busy train or baggage check in. Its a little easier if you detach the waist belt, which you shouldn't have to. More difficult if you have stuff packed in the Daylite. There are workarounds using the waist belt but I feel the design could be much better. I returned it to the shop I bought it from. Instead I use an old LowePro daypack that I had (much simpler, single pocket design, none of the Daylite features) that attaches using a similar system to a big LowePro camera bag. Ironically, its oval triglide buckles fit much more easily through the Osprey cord loops and are quite secure. Shame really.

    Great review. I’m pretty sure these also have YKK zippers, which is a huge plus. 😊

      @hikingbritishcolumbia9266  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes it is removable, you just pull the webbing out of the tri glide adjuster on it

    Does this bag really not fit a 15" laptop? The short length of my laptop is 24cm.

      It BARELY fits a MacBook Air - smaller than it looks.
