    Unisex pack has to slight either men or women. In this case the men got slighted. The straps are too far from the chest. Way up high toward the neck. And a bit too far back on the shoulder. Nice for women's boobs. Not ideal for mens' torsos.

    That 110 gram gas cannister for me is much to small. Ten years ago stopped using gas cannisters. I started with two gascannisters. But within 7 days they were empty. After that i needed to search for a shop. Ride to it (motorcycle). And a lot of the times they did not had those kind of gas cannisters. For years now i use a Primus gasoline burner. Last year bought a new version. Much lighter then the former one but also less power. But that is not the problem. It came with a 0.4l fuell bottle. And changed that for the one liter. With that i can cook two weeks. And it also functions as spare fuell for the motorcycle. What was it that you started to cook ? I still find it difficult to have for a few days of food with me. Vegetables go bad offcourse. And i do not like that survival food. I carry just one pack for emergency. But not more. Sometimes after 6 weeks did not even used it. Although i do large trips with the motorcycle for more then 35 years and know everything there is to know about gear. It is still nice to watch video's as yours. Sometimes people have a different perspective. Not that it is rocketscience. But sometimes i really can pick up something good. So thx. Also saw your video where you mentioned the chair. I could not agree more. 6 or 7 years now i take the large Helinox with me. Maybe due to getting older ? Atleast it is a factor. But it is so very important after 8 hours of riding i can sit comfortable. And not have to sit on the ground. Always tensioning up the stomach muscles. I think you know what i mean. But after all those years. Still have not solved one problem. And that is toiletpaper. You can not start with enough for 6 weeks away. And while underway you also can not buy one pack and take that along. I once saw a video of a dude that had paper that he could make wet. And then unfold it. It were somekind of hard compressed tablets. And i thought " Eureka" thats it but lost the video and it became thats (sh)it. I also allways take a MSR Guardian waterfilter with me. Riding offroad means that you have to go extremely minimalistic with luggage. That is why 8 years ago took a completely different route. With my motorcycle cloating and the everyday to use stuff. An airvent mesh jacket with all the protection. Then a very thin and light wind and waterproof jacket. And also a Gerbing 12 volt heated jacket. With that you can challenge all kinds of weather. From very hot to really freezing cold. I also use to take two sleepingbags with me. That could slight into each other. And both of them have a different temp rating. Very expensive but beautifull kit. I bought a 30 by 50 cm electrical heated 12 volt pad. And sewed that at the bottom and inside of a sleepingbag. And now when it gets below 8 degrees celsius i can turn on that pad. And i stay very warm. I use a 12 volt batterypack. And the 18650 batteries i can charge while riding. On the lowest setting it can be heated for 10 hours. And on max 3.5 till 4 hours. But then it has to be minus 5 degrees or colder. And that does not happen. I do allways carry 12 18650 batteries. Devided over two powerbanks. And both can be charched by usb. For me this works best. The 12 volt one i hang on a ridgeline inside the hammock. It is strange but the countries where it through the day can be warmer then 40 degrees Celsius also at night can become very cold. Your comment about a decent pillow is also true. It simply is a must to have a good night of sleep. Otherwise you feel bad during the day. And in my case you have to concentrate while riding. I also will look into your other video's. Very interesting they are. So thx. Greetings from the Netherlands,

    • @hikingbritishcolumbia9266
      @hikingbritishcolumbia9266 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the detailed comment. I do suppose the 110gram canister would be too small for a longer motorcycle trip. It has been my favorite setup when doing backpacking / hiking through the woods which is usually done in a week or less. I have only done a couple of motorcycle camping trips so far and during those I was able to just re supply some fuel, food and toilet paper at the gas stations along the way. Being able to use your fuel as gas as a backup definitely sounds like an ideal setup though, I agree. I eat the dehydrated ‘survival’ food well out in the woods because it provides enough nutrients for me well also being easy to carry and cook. When I was motorcycle camping, I used a hammock instead of packing a tent and sleeping pad to save a bit of space. If I were to use a tent option, it would have to take of very little space, as you mentioned there is not a lot of room to bring things. I have the MSR Hubba Hubba tent and a thermarest Neoair Uberlite which I do like and packs down pretty small, I am now looking to replace my tent with an Ultralight option I such as the Z packs plex solo tent, a lightweight bivy(outdoor research), or possibly just a flat tarp (MLD - Monk flat tarp). I am always looking to perfect my setup for different situations and appreciate your insights. I am currently in Australia and am looking forward to making more videos on these items when I return to Canada.

    You just gave me some really good ideas. With the GSI Micro Gripper, and cutting board. Though I am pretty sure that I can find something very similar at my local Walmart store. But the item that interested me the most was the Expedition Research small metal grill top piece. Because if I could just buy that piece. It would be perfect for my little jet cook stove burner.

    Hi just wondering, due to its smaller size factor does it affect the performance/effectiveness of muscle recovery or does it work just as well as the theragun or other massage guns which are larger in size?

    I bought one of these to attach to my Aether AG 70 (about 3 years old). The triglides at the bottom line up with the cord loops fine. However, trying to squeeze the triglides through the loops is really fiddly. Not something I'd want to do regularly, certainly not when I'm feeling time pressured getting on a busy train or baggage check in. Its a little easier if you detach the waist belt, which you shouldn't have to. More difficult if you have stuff packed in the Daylite. There are workarounds using the waist belt but I feel the design could be much better. I returned it to the shop I bought it from. Instead I use an old LowePro daypack that I had (much simpler, single pocket design, none of the Daylite features) that attaches using a similar system to a big LowePro camera bag. Ironically, its oval triglide buckles fit much more easily through the Osprey cord loops and are quite secure. Shame really.

    The 'accessory' bungee that you can tighten down, is for an axe. The head of the axe would go in the loop at the bottom of the bag, and the handle in the top.
