    Clarifications on some questions:
    CA is CA Technologies not Chartered Accountant.
    32L was offered in India, which I didn't take as I was offered L1 transfer to US.
    Small correction: Lot's of PHP, not Python in 2008.

      I recently moved into an IT company where people are there from ages and they just want to do everything that is 20 years old. Adamant, not open to ideas, creating "reusable" jars for microservices. I want to scream at them 😂😂 sadly it's corporate world

      @@hiteshpunjabi9413 Oftentimes you will find that "incumbent" teams will be more open to new ideas once they trust you and can understand what it is you are proposing. That can itself take time. Show them what you can do and they will be more relaxed about being challenged with new ideas!

    really inspiring. I miss that chance when I got a offer from a mid level company to work as a developer, but I refused that due to very low salary. But when i realized, i always recommend my jr or fellows to work with mid level or start-up company, if you really wanna learn. Learn 1st earn 2nd.

      One request that, as you told that you got an opportunity in the USA, as you were working in India, so suddenly you got chance of abroad how? Please make a detailed video that how an individual can go abroad and work there. ( except that you will get chance from your company:- every1 says the same line,) My question....how, on my potential, I can get jobs in abroad.

    Hi Krishna.. just stumbled upon this video.. Thank you for sharing! I could relate since in my short span of 7 yrs into IT, I have jumped into a few different domains as well.. currently switched back to Cloud Security.. your experience was extremely helpful and a lot inspiring.. "Never settle in a company if your are in a comfort zone" - I think that's one of the best advice I have received.. I feel a bit more confident about my move to Cloud and am willing to learn new things..

    somewhat similar story. i moved from being a botany graduate, customer service center , IT service desk, Windows support, Devops engineer, to cloud architect Now abroad and earning 10X of my salary back home.
    Nothing in impossible. As you said, jump on the new techs faster than others and learn as much as possible is the key!

      Some technologies will be gone forever and some new opportunities will come along
      For example, on-prem system administrator must learn Cloud in order to survive in this industry.

    Awesome GK. Really helpful info. Although midway., you scared me with all the things that you have learnt :). I was a windows sys ad for few years and then moved to non tech roles, now contemplating to get back to technology as I feel there is lot of respect, scope and demand as compared to the non tech roles. As you rightly said, as long as you know what the market/business needs and we are ready to upskill, IT is the best place to be.

    Now I am working as a QA and have 1.2 years of experience in a start-up company, and in my spare time I have learned Selenium Automation and JavaScript.
    Since four five days I am learning about DevOps, I heard it before but suddenly came to my mind regarding the future as a Manual/Automation QA only and then started research about DevOps, what is DevOps and all.
    It's my 6th day and I saw your video. So far my journey is the same as your initial one, and I will give my best and will go as you said.

    Seems like resembles my journey same, my friends used to ask me as a girl you are taking this much risk to change companies but for me work satisfaction is imp instead of good pay, currently am in 3 rd company will see how many companies I will change in future and am learning devops to change Domain, TH-cam suggested me this video. Good motivation.

    Very inspirational video and thanks for sharing it. I am a test engineer and I am watching all your video series and following the route that you have suggested to pursue career in Devops.     Most people shy away from mentioning the salary aspect, even though the urge to increase one's pay is a very real thing and nothing to hide
    You generate a very positive vibe with the story you've described - and believe it or not, you've shown the secret ingredient to success in any field, realm - continuous learning and knowledge building (learn, teach, learn cycle -> it's like the maxim of life itself)

      Actually i involved more time on deployments and servers logs monitoring and those setups while working as qa engineer...one day i started to explore devops things...its seems like i can do if i did more effort...so i requested to my manager for devops role...so he helped more and statrted exploring from docker,kubernetes,gitlab ci cd, servers management, aws ec2...etc...but we need to effort more dedication...

    Already got AWS certified. But no calls. People are looking for hands on experience. Thinking of changing career from IT to Management. Kind of fed up. And I am a female. Noone prefers a 6 year experienced female for some reason.

    I'm in the US, but our paths (some tech is different, but regardless) are almost identical to the point it's frightening lol. I'm self training in cloud from an architecture point of view, to reflect my background as a network architect. I'm looking forward to learning and being challenged.
