Proud Texan to know they brought Texas BBQ to a state that has BBQ of there own. When you have the south lined up to try Texas BBQ then Texas is doing something right. Texas BBQ is the best hands down. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a Texan. It's the truth
I ate there one time and it was pretty good. I have high blood pressure so I can't eat bar-b-que much. I'm glad that they put this restaurant in Anson County instead of neighboring Union or Mecklenburg. Anson is a rural community, not allot to do or places to go and most Anson folks go west to Charlotte and Monroe to shop or eat out and this place gives them somewhere close to eat. There is a nice little ice-cream parlor and fruit and veggie market just down the road from this place and some of the best peach cobbler I ever ate came from there. So good it'll make your tongue slab your lip.
All of this! So glad you enjoyed the video and most importantly have stopped by their restaurant. Garren and Kelly are such good folks - They love the area and folks that have helped make it so successful. Let me know in advance next time you are planning to go by.
Around 4:55 the gentleman asserts that "most Charlotte area BBQ restaurants don't serve brisket." He is mistaken. There are several restaurants in the greater Charlotte area that serve brisket and some do it very well. Midwood Smokehouse, Noble Smoke, Sweet Lew's, Mac's Speed Shop, and Smoke Pit has a number of locations around the Charlotte area. Congratulations to Jon G's for bringing Texas style BBQ to Anson. Everything we've heard about this place is phenomenal!
Ah, great call out. My guess is what was meant to be said …Most restaurants around Charlotte don’t do it like we do. 😉😆😆😆 Thanks for watching and engaging. Make sure you get down there and try it out!
I’m from Charleston SC and very spoiled when it comes to barbecue around me. I’m very particular in what I like and enjoy in the barbecue world but at the same time I’m very open minded to other styles and other ways of cooking barbecue. Not every place is going to do things to anybody’s particular liking but it’s fun to open up your taste buds and try something different. I’ll have to make it a point to get to this place sometime in the next six months.
@@JoeCarteretofficial I don’t know how soon it will be, but I’ll take you up on that. I bought a smoker last year when I bought some land out in the country and I just love going out there for hours and trying different ways of smoking barbecue. If you’re ever in Charleston, Lewis BBQ is amazing and Rodney Scott’s has some really good vinegar based barbecue. Palmira barbecue also has the best beef cheeks I’ve ever tasted. Good stuff.

The absolute best experience you can have… been 10 times and counting.
Yes! The whole operation just makes sense.
I’m petitioning them for a Charlotte location. 🤞

Like your choice of words Sir. "Texas Inspired" Good Luck. From The Great State of TEXAS!!!
As a former resident of Texas, I choose my battles carefully 😅
It's treat of you to make a video like this. Be careful on your wording. It's the South East! Not in the south.
Thanks for watching and engaging. Curious, what do you consider the “south”?

Any place overrun with red necks.
Except for that mindless music in the background, good video!
I’ll let my editing crew know, 😉
Thanks for checking it out and engaging, I really appreciate you.
Wow, it only took nine minutes to see some food
Thanks for checking out the video.
This man ate brisket with a fork. #Liberalism
Thanks for watching!
lol I thought same
TX inspired = not the real thing. Just an imitation.
Thanks for engaging - What did you think of the bbq when you went?
I guess I’m in the minority here Did not especially like the bbq
Hi! Oh no 😩
