    I found unloading attachments from a pick up bed is easier if you lift the attachment and then drive the truck out from under the attachment. Your way worked great as well! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

    Chris, when unloading equipment such as you had, life it up a little and pull the truck from under it. I also did not know you had a neutral on your hydraulic system. It will take the pressure off your hoses. Use it when in-hooking.

    It's kinda funny when we think back about things we did without equipment. That's one of the reasons why I have a bad back. LOL!!

    I would get that rubber on the bottom adjusted first and make sure your Nutz are tight ! 🤣🤣 Merry Christmas Chris 🎅. You can buy those yellow fiberglass rods that mount to the sides on the pusher (like the ones they use on snowplows) so when the pusher is down you know where the side are Chris. Helps in deep snow and when you get close to something. Your float is the same as on a truck mounted snow plow. Hit the switch down and it will float. I was going to tell you to move those large rocks to the place you suggested , you beat me to it Chris. Hard to see things under large amounts of snow. Chris, go to Lowes and buy those 4' or 5' fiber glass rods to mark the edges of your driveway, they come in yellow or orange with reflective tape on them so you can see them at night. Just here to help you. Great Job Chris !

    You could push some of the snow in your retention pond so you don’t have piles. I push my snow in the ditch so it’s where it needs to be when it melts. Keeps my piles down

  • @Patrick-kc5ur
    @Patrick-kc5ur 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    On my JD 4710 with a 460 loader, I drilled two holes near the front at the top of the side of the bucket for two "grab hooks". This allows picking up longer, heavier loads, like tree logs or equipment from each end, NOT at the center where it wants to swing, tip and spin. DO IT and you love having those 5/16" hooks! Simple to do, just two holes, a grade 8 bolt and washers to space them out enough to access the hooks with a 5/16" chain of any length. I keep pairs of chains with slip hooks and grab hooks on either end in various lengths. I also like to use load carrying straps rather than chains when possible and have a few paors of them.

    Nice addition! Will save a crap-ton of time for sure. Just make sure to keep the rubber edge bolts sprayed with something like Fluid Film so when it comes time to adjust the rubber edge, you're not wasting time fighting rusted bots. Cant wait to see it in action in deeper snow.

  • @Sellarmusic
    @Sellarmusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You obviously caught on to the need for float quickly. Without it you will tear things up in a hurry. The rubber scraper edge is also a very good choice. My the Meyers plow on my old 72 Dodge Power Wagon worked good in real cold weather but started to do a lot of damage as the weather warmed a bit. Converted to thick rubber scraper (purchased at a local heavy equipment dealer with the longer bolts needed) and it makes all the difference. Much easier on the gravel road and grassy areas where I push some of the snow. I notice very litte difference in cleaning ability.
