    Thanks for sharing your experience with Emirates Business Class. My experience of it has been inconsistent, but at their best they do really shine. I`m glad you got to see the latter.

    I flew on Emirates A380 from JFK to Dubai and then the Emirates 777 Business class from Dubai to Seychelles.
    I flew on Emirates A380 from JFK to Dubai and then the Emirates 777 Business class from Dubai to Maldives.
    I used the JFK Emirates Lounge and the spectacular Dubai business class lounge.
    On my return flight, I got to DXB at 3 AM and no one else was there. I took my sweet time eating, drinking, toileting and showering in their shower spa.
    The trip was absolutely fantastic - and effortless. Luxurious.
    HOWEVER: I recently flew on ANA from NYC to Haneda and then on to Jakarta and Bali (followed by Singapore).
    Japan Air gives you PRIVACY on business class which - aside from the materials in use - is more private and exclusive than Emirates business class for less money. The sliding doors seals the deal. I do however feel more comfortable on Emirates A380 especially when I need to get up. The plane is like a cruise ship.
    I'm not sure what the future of luxury air travel will offer, but in my lifetime, the A380 is the best that ever did it.
    EMIRATES food was also way better and I enjoyed drowning myself in MOET.

      Great comparison for sure, I do really love the Japanese airlines, keen to get a taste for their very latest cabins soon!

    Great video as always…when I lived in Hong Kong I would fly back to the U.K. on that flight via BKK (this was before there was a direct DXB - HKG flight) so it brings back many memories for me…I remember that Emirates would dish out the amenity kits on the ground in Bangkok before we flew on to Dubai and we would basically have 3 meals on the plane (one between HKG and BKK and then two from BKK to DXB)
    also loved the panda shot from the gift shop by the lounge…😊

      Thanks so much!
      Ahhh that sounds like an amazing experience with all those food services!
      Haha yeah, I wanted to buy the giant panda, had I known how quiet the cabin was going to be I’d have probably done it 🤣

    Great review. How much overhead storage is there please. I’m hopefully heading to Dubai next April. Hopefully I’ll only be taking carry on luggage.

      Thanks! I had no issues, typically never find it to be an issue in the business class 😊
      Only slight element was that there wasn’t overhead bins down the centre but I’d assume it would probs be ok, just try to get on a little early if you’re worried :)

    I flew this airline from Melbourne to London in business class, the food was great. The entertainment was fantastic, but I didn’t really find the seat or bed all that comfortable.

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Amazing route to be able to do it on for sure! Interesting comments on the seat and bed, may have been that the padding was a little worn out (I’ve had this recently with other airlines - really not nice!)

    That cabin is just far too busy. Glitz and shine everywhere.

    If it were up to me, 'd drop thousands of pounds from those planes by getting rid of the tablet, the minibar and just giving you a straightforward touchscreen.
    The minibar makes no sense as it doesn't cool the drinks.

    Just makes you realise how poor BA long haul business is when you compare to the likes of Emirates, Qatar etc

    • @Travelsbydreamer
      @Travelsbydreamer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I think so, worlds apart at the moment and on a recent search from LHR-SYD, not miles apart on price 😅

    • @nickcockayne7880
      @nickcockayne7880 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You’re comparing a state owned vanity project which has the benefit of slave labour available (and even then doesn’t need to turn a profit) with an airline that actually has to generate enough revenue to survive in a competitive market.

    • @r12004rewy
      @r12004rewy หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah Ok

    • @nickcockayne7880
      @nickcockayne7880 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@r12004rewy so where am I going wrong in my assessment? Emirates benefits massively from having ground staff imported from India/Sri Lanka paid peanuts and having their passports stolen and working rights non existent. BA actually have to pay their staff, a novel concept. You think this is a level playing field where emirates are just magically able to provide these levels of service with proportionately less ticket revenue than BA and the same level of cost? More fool you.

    Was disappointed with Emirates from Tokyo to Dubai then to US. Burnt croissant for breakfast and I. Different service - more style over substance

      That does sound really average. I’d be keen to do more with them to see how they do in terms of consistency…
