    One question - do you know if the 'points' generated by reviews attach to the individual book, or to the author/publisher?

    • @paulmarles

      Individual book. But that’s an interesting thought if they give any ‘juice’ to the author as well. 🤔

    I’m really struggling with the whole marketing aspect of things. I’ve made several low content books and I’ve published a few children’s stories, but I don’t know how to make them more visible on Amazon. I’ve tried changing my key words but I guess I’m not doing it very well. Ugh. Thank you for your videos, though. I like your style and I’ve learned a lot about Canva etc.

    Thanks sir for the information , I just wonder i have seen in a video of yours talking about 7 boxes . you said it's better to put STK one aside without repeating words.. teacher appreciation, for women,for men.. etc so amazon will index everything as LTK , so how can we put the LTK in the 7 boxes ? should it be a mix of both .. 3 boxes with LTK and 4 with STK or what

    • @paulmarles
      @paulmarles  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, just put the single words in the keyword boxes.

    Thank you Paul. I really learn a lot from yours video. How about author name? - is it good to have some keyword in it?

  • @wendyjenae
    @wendyjenae 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the video, Paul! A question comes to mind: If you do a search on Amazon and 50,000 results come up, obviously, that means there's a lot of competition. But what if your search term only brings up 4,000 results? Sure, there's less competition, but does that also mean there are less searches? And, if so, where's the sweet spot? Is 10K-20K results a good indication that there are enough searches without having a lot of competition?

    • @paulmarles
      @paulmarles  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With even 4000 results the competition is likely to be too tough. I tend to target longer tail keywords with search results of less than 1000. If the keyword appears in the drop down list on Amazon search, this for me is an indicator that the search number is high enough. So the main keywords I target are those that appear in the drop down list and then I find the ones with less than 1000 search results. However you also need to make sure there already books selling, with a reasonable BSR, for those keywords too. It’s a good question and I’ll try and cover it in a video.

    • @wendyjenae
      @wendyjenae 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulmarles Thank you, Paul! If you do cover it in a video, also explain what a "reasonable BSR" is. Obviously a BSR in the millions isn't good and one in the thousands is incredible, but what about a BSR in the 100,000's? From what I can tell books ranking in the 100,000's are only selling 1-2 books a month.
