Hi, thanks for the great video. I just have a question to do with the 7 boxes. For example, if in my first box I have the word notebook and in the seventh I have for dad, would my notebook appear in the search notebook for dad? Do all the boxes link together in some way? Thanks
I've tinkered with my Keywords over the years until I'm red in the face!! I'm not too convinced as to how effective they really are. Of course, there are a load of other factors to consider too if one wants to increase sales. I've yet to find them, though! Great presentation as always, Dave. I live in hope :)
Thank you so much, Dave! This answered a huge question for me. I've tried both ways but had no real way to track my results easily. This is great advice.

Oh my goodness Dave, every time I have a question you have a well thought out, thorough answer. Truly amazing. Thank you so much ! And thank you for the Book Marketing podcast as well, I have learnt so much.
This was an excellent explanation. I was wondering about this keyword conundrum. I just got Publisher Rocker yesterday and have been researching keywords for my books, I am going to experiment on the Kindle versions to see if the rankings improve. Thanks.
Oh no, I was waiting for you to give us an example. I have bought your publisher rocket, and absolutely love it. I had selected a category in my mind that I was confident was going to rock, but when I used the keyword rocket I saw that there is a lot of demand, but also competition is extremely high and for an unknown author, that is not the best category for me to start with. So I REALLY appreciate the software and how it has helped shape my strategic decision. I might circle back to this category later, but not to start with.
This makes me glad I woke up early. Thanks Dave! Just finished my fifth draft and plan on my first publication to be this March! Super excited. You are making my dream more possible.

Thank you very much, Dave. I am going to try this out and see how it affects my sales and ranking. it was a really interesting video and you did quite a heroic deed by teaming up with those hundred authors to get results. Awesome idea. You have my gratitude.

Yes, the more options you give Amazin in AMS keywords, the more opportunities it has to show you to shoppers. And don't worry, you only pay Amazon when they show your book AND someone is interested enough to click on it.
Except for the part that analyzed how the use of words on there affected your rankings. But with regards to rankings the "Kindle Rankings" pdf of Rocket's tutorial page should help and covers that. You can find it to the right of the Keyword Feature tutorial video.
Thanks for your video! So I want to put the phrase "Blank lined floral notebook for women" in one of my keyword boxes but some of these words are already in my title. So should I include different phrases to put in my keyword boxes? Also, is it ok to put more than one long-term keyword phrases in the same box? Amazon will just re-arrange the keyword phrases like in the video? Correct? Sorry for all of the questions. Thank you!
My novel "The Sight", doesn't show up when I search for the title alone. It only shows up when I search for my author name, V. H. Mizzell, or for my name and title combined. What's up with that? Customer support only responds with double talk.
When you said there is no benefit in repeating a word, does that mean between each of the 7 spaces? Meaning in research, I discovered that people often type in their word and end it with books or best-selling books. Then sometimes, the phrase will end with women, men, or black women. Does that mean if I include these words once within the 7 lines that I have it covered for each search option for all of my phrases?
No problem. So, having a word or phrase in one of the box works for you. There's no benefit to thinking that the more you put a word into those boxes the better. So, don't do it where say you really want to rank better for Love Affair, so you put it in all seven boxes with other words.

My questions is, that I haven't been able to find the answer for - Can you use the word 'book' in the keywords search terms (didn't know if allowed or not). The ones I found are like 'Books about (subject) that is searched' or '(Subject) book'. Thanks for any help.
Great video, Dave. Two questions for me, please? Through the SPF course, I learnt how to put together keyword phrases. I have researched some of my own through Publisher Rocket and come up with a few phrases with one different word in each. For example: Historical WW2 family saga and Historical war family saga. Is it okay to use both and the other combos I've come up with putting them into my 7 keyword boxes, or should I only be sticking to one? My second question, when a keyword or phrase has been entered into the Amazon search box displaying the search results, does the first book appearing mean that it has the greatest number of sales than the rest listed therefore Amazon awarding it's 1st place ranking? If so, it would then be pretty difficult to rank high if say 3000 books have been indexed for that particular keyword, right? Thanks Dave.
Hi Dave, great vid. On indexing + ranking, does the same thing apply to Amz adverts as well? Ie, if you have a campaign with fewer but more relevant keywords, over time you will rank for fewer keywords but index higher for those words but with a campaign with lots of keywords that are more loosely relevant, you may rank across more keywords but with worse indexing? Just a thought I had now as I'm trying to gain more organic traction on my books. Let me know if you have any thoughts - Thanks!
I don't have any hard data to support this, so my response is based no what I've experienced with my own: I don't think so. I haven't seen any indication that a few highly selective AMS keywords helps your AMS keyword rankings and impressions.
Thank you! For example: lined notebook for husband. Should I use "for" or just put a phrase "lined notebook husband boyfriend him man men" in a slot? Thank you!
@@Kindlepreneur thank you! Like u said we need to write particular phrases in 3 - 4 first slots, and relaevant words in the rest. Is it correctly understood? thank you!

Thanks! This helps so much!
Awesome and glad to have helped.
DID NOT KNOW THIS!!! I need to go back and fix my keywords.
Awesome!
Thank you!
Like I said in the video, I’d that particular phrase is a great one and you truly want to target it, then put that exact phrase.
@@Kindlepreneur thank you! Like u said we need to write particular phrases in 3 - 4 first slots, and relaevant words in the rest. Is it correctly understood? thank you!
Hi Dave,
Should I be using Publisher Rocket keywords on all 7 slots or should I mix it up with other Amazon Keywords provided by them?
I like to use my favorite full phrases from Rocket in 3-4 of them, and then in the remaining ones, I use a bunch of other words from Rocket all put together to fully fill up the box.
