Niche research is important for finding low competition KDP niches that sell well on Amazon and that don't have too much competition. In this video we explore a niche that fits this criteria - the mood tracker journal. These books are also relatively easy to create and we go through the steps of creating a unique interior by combining two interior types. We also look at those all important KDP keywords, essential for giving your books the best chance of being found on Amazon and, therefor getting traffic.

I am ranking nicely with a journal in this area, but in the UK market. It was a surprise for me to see that while I barely sold any in the US marketing I ranked up first page in the UK. Now I am developing another journal to add, like a collection, and link it to this journal that is selling well.

However, My mood tracker manuscript refused to upload to KDP Amazon. I followed your guidance. The manuscript is 588 by 888 pixels. I created a cover of 12.52 by 9.25 inch. Thank you.

I purchased their bundle to invest but learned that there were a few same name of the software companies when I was trying to contact for issues. I was able to use the Designer so it seemed to be OK?? One I was trying to contact seemed to be in Europe and didn't respond for my question after my purchase? Which one you had been using? Amazon says I have to have an SVN number but they will not give me one if it’s a low-content book to buy an ISBN number is way over the budget that I have. When you’re making a journal, and it’s 120 pages, is that 120 lined pages, plus 1 for the title page? Although that would probably be 1 sheet for the title page with the back being blank.
Or 120 pages including the title page, for 119 lined pages and 1 title page?

It is possible to write on the new kindle. I put one journal on the kindle and it was excepted more quickly than other books. Including the paper back version.

Hey Paul, if you're reading this, I have a quick question. I saw a few reviews in this "Mood Journal" niche that customers complained about the colorless interior although the cover is colourful.

I don't know. If your counry is set to the UK and your bank account is in the UK I would've thought you'd be paid in pounds.

Paul, as a beginner I had the main interior page created on Fiverr. Sadly as I tried to upload it onto your lined paper interior I could not. It was sent to me as PDF. I could not edit it using free Canva version neither. Any advice on how do I overcome this obstacle? Also, is there any free image editing software that I could use at this early learning stage? I don't fully understand this concept with KDP - If I publish a book and it's live on Amazon.....and a month later, I notice a few pages that need to be reworked, is it possible to update the book without making a new listing or edition? or is the first book permanent and there's nothing I can do?
Also, if it's possible to make changes, do you lose your ranking on Amazon and have to start again with a new version?

With books that deal with delicate topics such as mood and health, may it be necessary to include a disclaimer warning that the book cannot be used to make medical diagnoses, which are the responsibility of specialists, or other similar warnings?
it is a journal that people fill in, it is not a medical book, BIG difference.

Had a strange thing happen. I published 3 lined journals. I priced each one at 6.99. When they published Amazon priced two of them at 8.87. I have seen them lower prices for a sale but raise them? On my account it is 6.99 so I didn't accidentally put wrong price. Has this ever happened to anyone?

That's a plugin I have installed called Keywords Everywhere. You do have to pay for credits though.

This a very limiting belief. Have you seen how big is the market? Even if you wanted, you wouldn't be able to produce as many books as necessary to saturate it so soon.
