Your top two this year are mine in reverse. I love, love, love Finland's song and it's my favorite of the 80's, but Denmark is also great and the peak of their style.
Apparently Daníel Ágúst and Valgeir Guðjónsson did not like it either. Daníel should have been taking final exams from Collage and Valgeir's wife giving birth. In fact the producer Björn Emilsson with his blow dried mullet took all the interviews and when the rehearsals began all the journalists were surprised to see this small guy with almost no hair going up to the stage. They all thought that the cool guy with the blow dried mullet was going on stage.
22- Yeah, no one really likes this 21- Am I the only one who thinks this is good 20- It's OK, but not great 19- I like the style but the song isn't all that 18- It's cute and hilarious 17- I think this is great and deserved more 16- Eek! My first place 🥇: Denmark 🇩🇰 but I hesitate a lot between my first and second place !!! Both are iconic and amazing 😉 ! I love your top. Iceland was good for me though. It was a bit dull, as Daniel was focused on exams, and didn't really care about Eurovision. Jury vote is unfair af. It's not fair to judge based on the opinions of one (or 2 or 10 depending on the voting system) person per country. This was especially unfair before 1997 with 100% jury vote. For example this year the voting system was 1 juror per country awarding points to his/her top 10. There were 22 countries participating, meaning the songs were judged based on only 21 (not 22 because you can't vote for your country) people's opinions. If your song was very disliked by a lot of fans but the 21 jurors coincidentally all loved your song you could do very well. On the other hand your song could be a huge fan favorite but disliked among the 21 jurors and you would have a low score. Televote was brought in to make the voting and results more fair.
