They cancelled the beta for Space marine 2 after a long delay, yet they announced the game went gold a few weeks later then the entire game got leaked. Something is very fishy there and I think the comparison between the leaked version and what will finally release might be very telling.

I think the mistake they made was making the player character a real person from history (Yasuke) It would be like playing as Leonardo Da Vinci instead of Ezio. They should have had Yasuke be a retainer they come across while visiting Nobunaga - that way they could take enough artistic license and insert him as the cause of whatever historical event (as they have in so many other games)

I never comment but I’ve been a Warhammer fan for 13 years starting when I was just 14. Part of what makes the setting what it is, is the dark brutal world. It is a universe without mercy, without kindness. “In the grim-dark of the 41st millennium there is only war” is the tagline for a reason. These activists want so badly for others to accept them, yet blatantly spit in the faces of the people who make the IP successful in the first place. Not everything needs representation, some things aren’t for everyone. And to be frank making custodies have women isn’t going to add more women fans, if they are interested they would’ve been already. Plus instead of enriching the already amazing sisters of silence or sisters of battle after fans like myself have been asking for YEARS that they get new lore is a slap to the face. As far as I’m concerned these changes aren’t cannon and I think other fans should view it this way too. Stand together, the crazies are losing.

It ain't worth it tbh, hell alot of games with preorder bonuses end up having the preorder bonus stuff in a ultimate edition pack. So if you wait you can get the preorder shit with the ultimate edition on a sale later on.

Can confirm no apparent wokery in SM2, so I’m told. There’s a female IG officer who tries to tell you what to do but you can pretty much ignore. No female SMs in evidence either, so all good. It apparently looks pretty good.
Here’s hoping that’s how the final game ends up. SM1 helped me decide on a personal colour scheme, would very much like to have no reason not to buy this one.

@@michaelh878 Still not an explanation for why they'd intentionally cater to a bunch of nobodies. Lord of the Rings was a huge success without having to cater to specific groups, just sticking to the novels for the most part. Conversely, Rings of Power went the exact same way as the 40k show is going, and was a colossal failure.

The only other female character even worth mentioning in the LotR films was Galadriel, and she did exactly as little in the films as she did in the books. Gave the Fellowship some supplies, then sent them on their way. Unless you're trying to argue the Hobbit films, which I'd like to think you're smart enough to realise I never mentioned.
They cancelled the beta for Space marine 2 after a long delay, yet they announced the game went gold a few weeks later then the entire game got leaked. Something is very fishy there and I think the comparison between the leaked version and what will finally release might be very telling.

No matter how many stocks Vanguard or black rock Company bought from GW the downfall of the companies demise is they destroy their own consumer base to begin with and now with the woke agenda, the future for them is very bleak and slim to none sooner or later they will have run out of ways to make money for the gamers and hard core fanbase didn’t really want it to happen, but the company did it to themselves ?!

I think the mistake they made was making the player character a real person from history (Yasuke)
It would be like playing as Leonardo Da Vinci instead of Ezio.
They should have had Yasuke be a retainer they come across while visiting Nobunaga - that way they could take enough artistic license and insert him as the cause of whatever historical event (as they have in so many other games)

I never comment but I’ve been a Warhammer fan for 13 years starting when I was just 14. Part of what makes the setting what it is, is the dark brutal world. It is a universe without mercy, without kindness. “In the grim-dark of the 41st millennium there is only war” is the tagline for a reason. These activists want so badly for others to accept them, yet blatantly spit in the faces of the people who make the IP successful in the first place. Not everything needs representation, some things aren’t for everyone. And to be frank making custodies have women isn’t going to add more women fans, if they are interested they would’ve been already. Plus instead of enriching the already amazing sisters of silence or sisters of battle after fans like myself have been asking for YEARS that they get new lore is a slap to the face. As far as I’m concerned these changes aren’t cannon and I think other fans should view it this way too. Stand together, the crazies are losing.

I will give you the ez answer, don't preorder and don't buy day one. Wait for the reviews ect ect, I never buy day one anymore nor do I preorder I got burned to many times. It ain't worth it tbh, hell alot of games with preorder bonuses end up having the preorder bonus stuff in a ultimate edition pack. So if you wait you can get the preorder shit with the ultimate edition on a sale later on.
I am now in doubt that this woke stuff will still not end in the foreseeable future

I played the Space Marine 2 leak. The campaign Is pretty bad. M2P Is gonna be the saving grace.

Can confirm no apparent wokery in SM2, so I’m told. There’s a female IG officer who tries to tell you what to do but you can pretty much ignore. No female SMs in evidence either, so all good. It apparently looks pretty good.
Here’s hoping that’s how the final game ends up. SM1 helped me decide on a personal colour scheme, would very much like to have no reason not to buy this one.

Ukraine has had neo “Yahtzee” official military units fighting in the war and there’s footage of them (any Ukrainian troops not specific) torturing and killing captured or surrendered Russian soldiers.
