Work, but turn a piece in aluminium for more precision when you put the oil seal in place.

Hi, not sure i understand your comment but the oil seal is seated absolutely fine. Using the old seal is how a lot of people knock them in place. I have my ways and they work. Been patient is key. Thank you for your comment.

Its deffo electrical, test ignition curcuit all the way from the stator pickup to the plug using a continuity test as sometimes a part of the system will breakdown under the load at higher revs, then kicks in again once the revs drop also check the earth as the contact wire can look OK but is broken causing exactly what you're suffering from.

Hi, I've done continuity test and getting the readings within range the manual specifies on stator and pickup coil. The bike also has good earth. I'm struggling to get a spark at all now. Starting to fear it could be the cdi. Please see my next video when I upload it. Thank you.

MINES DOING SAME THING my dtr as everything new but for some reason its fowling all my new spark plugs ..if i put a new one in will be fine for 10 mins then start smoking again and stop ..is this a crank seal issue? compression is fine like i say runs fine for 10 mins aslong as the plug is clean or new electric battery all new

Sounds like a fuel issue. Try cleaning your carb first, make sure the fuel side of things is o.k, the mixture. If its not that try a new coil. If that's not the issue do a stator check..

Sounds like it's stator braking down
