I am Mexican and both countries have beautiful girls, I can’t see physical difference between Ukrainian and Russian girls both look Slavic to me and they both look the same, personally, the only difference I’ve noticed is ukranians girls are more friendly, polite, easy going, you can feel they are humble person, in the other hand russians girls are very rude, very nationalistic (they will let you know, that they are proud of be russians even if u dont ask) and most of them are self-centred. That was my personal experience, it is difficult to generalize, it might be wrong my perception

I work at a nice hotel in Vegas and see people from all over the world. From my experience Ukrainian women are more quiet and sound timid when they talk whereas Russian women sound more confident when they talk. In terms of appearance, I can't tell the difference.

Hello, and now some input from a Serb living in the West. I go frequently on a business trip to Frankfurt. Many young people from Russia, Ukraine and so forth work there. My experience is that there's almost no difference between Ukraine girls and Russian girls. However, Ukraine girls are a little more arrogant. Both are arrogant, make no mistake. But Ukraine girls just a little bit more. But they're both equally beautiful. I go to a certain bar after work. We are still dressed in business suit as we go straight from work to a restaurant and then to a bar (hotels are boring). However, because of my Slavic face, the Ukraine waitresses think I'm one of "those rich Russians" so they are always rude to me. I didn't know why, but a lady from other Baltic state explained to me who lives there. Also, both Russian and Ukrainian girls are judgmental and high demanding. I think we are all Slavs, brothers and sisters. I love you all. The real enemy is somewhere else. The westerners don't give a damn about each-other, but they can live together well. In Bulgaria is same, if you are from some former USSR country people in Bulgaria says: the Russian. This is normal here. I was presenting one of my friend from Lithuania to my grandmother and in the end she was asking: Why this Russian man has Greek name, because his name is Gediminas. I just want to add that young Russian girls also seem to swear much much more that their Ukrainian counterparts, but that probably stems from them being more arrogant and haughty, as young people and especially Russians seem to view swearing as a means to look 'cooler' and more 'mature'. I work with a lot of Russians and Ukrainians in the the USA. I live in California. I find Ukrainians more out going and easier to engage in conversation. The Russians are more reserved and can appear distant. I will also say that once the Russians get to know you a little bit they are more friendly. In my own experiences, it is like comparing Americans from parts of the East Coast to those here in California. A Ukrainian coming from Odessa, like a friend of mine, will be different from a Russian that is from Moscow. I personally think a Russian from Moscow will be much like an American from New York City.

Olga Reznikova не совсем понял, что значит не нейтральные) (предвзятость?))) я имел ввиду,, что для чистоты эксперимента стараются опрашивать людей примерно одной возрастной категории, одного рода занятий при сравнении. обратите внимание, на то что возраст у опрошенных россиян, однозначно, выше , чем у опрошенных украинцев. род занятий некоторых россиян, также вызывает вопросы. это имеет значение. но в любом случае, я считаю , что нет сферических людей в вакууме и все разные, невозможно так просто сказать, чем отличаются в целом украинки от россиянок. вполне возможно существуют какие-то определенные вещи , которые например приняты и понятны украинкам, а россиянкам нет и наоборот в в силу каких-либо особенностей стран проживания и культурных различий . но эта тема совершенно была не затронута. (по своему опыту скажу, что гораздо больше различий в зависимости от города, но это просто набор паттернов поведения к которому человек привыкает, и попав в другую среду, он способен быстро приспосабливаться к другой ситуации. не припоминаю, чтобы были какие-то проблемы в интеграции при переезде украинки в Россию или россиянки в Украину. )

As a foreigner that travels a lot in slavic country i see only a little different in general attitude. Ukraine people is more "european" than russians but it is a very slightly difference.For sure both are incredibly spread of beauty by God will. ;)

Ukrainians have a different heritage to Russians, the very fact that they have their own Ukrainian language and their own distinct culture proves that they are different(even if they are both Slavic people. It takes years for a language and culture to develop and hence Ukrainians are as different to Russians as the Poles, Czechs and Slovaks(all Slavic people) are different to Russians in this respect. It is only years of Soviet rule, that has brought some strong Russian cultural ties to some parts of Ukraine.

Back in the early middle ages all the Rus principalities had their own dialects that are somewhat similar to neighbouring dialects but were significantly different to those further away from them. These early Finnic people were assimilated as a result of slavic principalities expanding into their territories. It's said that some Russian dialects still show evidence of Finnic substrates. I have dated both, and both are great. The only difference I have noticed (and it may just be me) is that Russian girls seem a little stand-offish at first and the Ukrainian girls a little friendlier at first. After the first half hour I see no difference, both are warm and friendly people, well read, and a delight to know.

I work at a nice hotel in Vegas and see people from all over the world. From my experience Ukrainian women are more quiet and sound timid when they talk whereas Russian women sound more confident when they talk. In terms of appearance, I can't tell the difference.

I was born in Romania to a Romanian father and an Ukrainian mother that I mostly look like and in school kids were calling me russian kid even tho my heritage is Ukrainian not Russian but that goes to show that most people around the world associate Ukraine with Russia and that means that there aren’t much differences between the two nations...I personally feel like I have Slavic blood and I would not be offended being called either Russian or Ukrainian!
In Bulgaria is same, if you are from some former USSR country people in Bulgaria says: the Russian. This is normal here. I was presenting one of my friend from Lithuania to my grandmother and in the end she was asking: Why this Russian man has Greek name, because his name is Gediminas. So, this is normal and shows that there is no such big difference between all these nations.

I don't know much about Ukrainian girls but I think from my personal experience that Ukrainians are way laid back than Russians. I leave in the USA and I know Russian attitude snobby, egoistic and rude sometimes they all think that there special because they from Russia. While I've been living abroad for a few years I met a lot of Ukrainian and Russian girls (among other nationals of course) during that period and I completely agree with your opinion. I just want to add that young Russian girls also seem to swear much much more that their Ukrainian counterparts, but that probably stems from them being more arrogant and haughty, as young people and especially Russians seem to view swearing as a means to look 'cooler' and more 'mature'. Which was an instant turn off for me.

I work with a lot of Russians and Ukrainians in the the USA. I live in California. I find Ukrainians more out going and easier to engage in conversation. The Russians are more reserved and can appear distant. I will also say that once the Russians get to know you a little bit they are more friendly. In my own experiences, it is like comparing Americans from parts of the East Coast to those here in California. A Ukrainian coming from Odessa, like a friend of mine, will be different from a Russian that is from Moscow. I personally think a Russian from Moscow will be much like an American from New York City.

Imane Chanelle FYROM is a melting pot of what not. :) In general, they have a bit darker skin complexion, and they tend to have rougher facial features, but there are also Macedonians who don't differ from us Serbs or Croats at all.

Olga Reznikova не совсем понял, что значит не нейтральные) (предвзятость?))) я имел ввиду,, что для чистоты эксперимента стараются опрашивать людей примерно одной возрастной категории, одного рода занятий при сравнении. обратите внимание, на то что возраст у опрошенных россиян, однозначно, выше , чем у опрошенных украинцев. род занятий некоторых россиян, также вызывает вопросы. это имеет значение. но в любом случае, я считаю , что нет сферических людей в вакууме и все разные, невозможно так просто сказать, чем отличаются в целом украинки от россиянок. вполне возможно существуют какие-то определенные вещи , которые например приняты и понятны украинкам, а россиянкам нет и наоборот в в силу каких-либо особенностей стран проживания и культурных различий . но эта тема совершенно была не затронута. (по своему опыту скажу, что гораздо больше различий в зависимости от города, но это просто набор паттернов поведения к которому человек привыкает, и попав в другую среду, он способен быстро приспосабливаться к другой ситуации. не припоминаю, чтобы были какие-то проблемы в интеграции при переезде украинки в Россию или россиянки в Украину. )

Russians are better i think
Ukrainians have a different heritage to Russians, the very fact that they have their own Ukrainian language and their own distinct culture proves that they are different(even if they are both Slavic people. It takes years for a language and culture to develop and hence Ukrainians are as different to Russians as the Poles, Czechs and Slovaks(all Slavic people) are different to Russians in this respect. It is only years of Soviet rule, that has brought some strong Russian cultural ties to some parts of Ukraine.

They gave Ukraine originally Russian land and forced the people to learn the Ukrainian language. I doubt that among these nations, there are marked differences in culture.

Back in the early middle ages all the Rus principalities had their own dialects that are somewhat similar to neighbouring dialects but were significantly different to those further away from them. Then around 1300 the Principality of Moscow expanded and annexed neighbouring territories and as a result also imposed the Moscowy dialect on these people. Kiev (or should I say Kyiv) lost its Rus connection due to the mongol invasion around 1200 and later on it came under the rule of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Overtime a border formed between what is now Ukraine and what is now Russia. As a result the Ukrainian language diverged from that of the Russians. This doesn't mean Russians and Ukrainians have different ancestry. In fact genetic tests have shown that even Poles have very similar haplogroup composition when compared with Russian samples.
+Alex Dixon The funny thing is many ethnic Russians probably unknowingly had some Finnic ancestry. These early Finnic people were assimilated as a result of slavic principalities expanding into their territories. It's said that some Russian dialects still show evidence of Finnic substrates. So i guess if the Tsardom of Russia wasn't so powerful in its day, Finland today would have been a lot larger.
