I honestly feel like cloak weapons are stronger than spells...just had two amazing runs back to back...one with maxed out rocket launcher with a crit build and the other one was a bleed shuriken build
I would agree that they have better damage but the spells that heal you are the ones that can make a run in my book 😊
@@JawlessPaul true...I am currently playing my first heal run...have reduced cd on the periodic heals and have pure and normal heals as curses
All in all it comes down to curses lol one time I had maxed mosquitos, lifesteal, infinite mana, stupid op damage, butterflies that also had all this and I beat the game from being someone that couldn't get past world 5
I do my best runs with 2 high class cloaks being able to stun bosses with spear followed by hammer I can run through a good portion of bosses before they respond with there first attack, I tend to go damage less until boss encounters so spells and healings doesn't really help me as long as I raise my defense slightly like with using the retaliate plus 5 defense card
Been keeping an eye on its early access, but the full game came out right while I'm in the middle of playing Elden Ring. Even then, on the 2D front, the Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC recently released as well.

Thanks! Your Guidance has allowed me to up my game! My one gripe about the game is the Scythe upgrades. Those should hold until maxed. Would give a sense of progression and allow you to blast through trash mobs initially when doing future runs.

Spells are better than cloak items? Never had the feeling, but then again I always prioritize the red curses, maybe if I would invest more into green curses, but most guides say that red is the way to go.
The chance of getting a spell that will heal you is really important for having successful runs. They may not do as much damage as cloak items and red curses, but they have utility benefits and if you find the right spells and green curses you will find the game gets much easier. That's just been my experience :)

So I noticed that I had 60 max mana and a spell that requires 100 mana but it still let me use it. Is it weaker or how does that work?
Great question! You can still use it, but you deplete your mana completely. Any time you deplete your mana completely it takes a little bit longer for it to start to regenerate.

I really wish this game was on ps5 or xsx. I dont own a gaming pc but I do have a switch tho. Hades initially did the same thing so I hope this game will eventually come to the newer consoles

How can you get more prismium?! I’ve had over fifteen attempts and only ever found one prismium.
The best way I found is over the contracts at the beginning (I guess you can already choose 3 contracts?). And the secrets rooms: Sometimes you see a small lock at a wall. If you use an anima near it it opens and not always, but sometimes they also have a prismium. It seems there is a secret room once per world, but I'm not sure.
@@Harrikiri I know about the secret rooms though I can only choose between two opening contracts so far between a soluary test and Joe's new stuff.
@@robbieking4070 Joceyln's contracts keep getting better (and more demanding) as well as choosing up to 3 the more you get complete runs. I think you need 5 to max her out if I remember right, definitely a case of if you played before the full release where Imamura was the final boss made doing this MUCH easier
Some great advice below. Take prismium floors when possible of course. It's kinda random what you are offered to a point. Hazardous floors are a crap shoot so you could potentially get anything from those floors
