It's a historical monument now and no one owns it. Non profit .It is A 501(c)3 it is not owned by anyone, is self-governing and while it may make a profit, it cannot profit any individual(s).and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual. Per the Waverly hills historical society .

4th floor spirits seem angry, but hands down to John and Casey for doing that walk challenge and Josh for the attempt in making it down those stairs, that hallway was freaky as!
Maybe the higher up floor there was unthinkable things done up there that is preventing the spirit from passing on
36:38 When you think about it, this hospital has seen MANY investigations, each group or person(s) has experienced a little something different, and spirits are people who passed on, and just like in this life they must have from time to time, get a bit fed up with being asked questions, Not all of them, I think some actually enjoy the company and attention...but some are a bit jaded. I find people who are not used to paranormal activity tend to swear a lot compared to the average Ghost hunter...lol,..James the FAM actually went down and back up that Death tunnel all by himself...but maybe it's because he has poor eyesight...Idk...

These are the most realistic ghost videos iv watched they actually gave me chills and made me scared not even horror films do this
My aunt died there over 70 years ago. She was only 18 years old. My mother who is now 90, hates all they attention this place gets. It brings back bad memories.
Waverly Hills has been on my bucket list of places to go to since I was 14. It's been almost a decade and I still haven't gone, but man, every video I see makes me want to go more and more. Fantastic video Josh!!

@@lynabrahamson It really is worth it but make sure you go with the correct intentions and also protection. I went with 10 friends and 3 of them brought “something” home. Along with a lot of stories while we were there. It was an amazing experience as I’ve seen haunted things my entire life. This place has its rules, which are meant to be followed. We encountered people who got injured from not following the rules. Shoved down stairs, or scratches basically. So listen to the rules because they are the spirits rules, not Waverly’s guidelines. Other than that it is well worth it. I went on a 10 person 8pm-4am tour I believe. It was worth the price, they feed you pizzas & coke, and you will be thinking about it for years. I was so excited to see this video because it’s been a few years since I went, and I want to go back. But I do not want to go back and risk being recognized or followed by something dark. It was cool, but my friends had all of their full names recited on the EMP device. It said first middle and last names of everyone, except for me. I think I just had my guard up very high though, and some ancestor help. Make sure you feel comfortable walking into an actual horror movie pretty much. Movies don’t scare me after the experience here. It wasn’t overly scary because there are absolutely spirits you will encounter that are helpful, light, and funny. Yet they are all still carrying immense darkness and you’ll never know one’s intentions. My friend who invited one to touch him, (which you should never do) was followed home by a dark demon that posed as a child who passed away there. It attached to him & effected him for a long time at home, but we got it to go away. Still just be prepared for things like that in the back of your mind. Then it will ALL be exhilarating fun and it really was.

@@lynabrahamson the biggest heads up are the crawlers. My friend and I thought we saw our buddy coming down the corridor by the outside walls on the 3rd floor. (We just had to sprint there because Big Black was shading out the windows on floor 4, and they instruct you to run when that happens). We said “Ryan, is that you”? Then from walking on two legs very human-like, leaned down with its right arm and began crab crawling toward us on all fours as an all black figure. My friend shrieked and started to run, and it began SPRINTING at me. Before she got away I grabbed her arm and swung her back right next to me and said “Hold your ground” were the rules instructed because it’s a crawler. I called my other friend nearby over because her energy was too afraid, but it was only slowly creeping because I was trying to keep it away from us. As soon as my nearby friend came he and I just locked arms and stared it down, until it stopped. Then we began walking towards it, and cursing it away. It coward away from us, and ran on the outer window wall up to the 4th floor balcony. We only know this because we saw it curl around the frame of the outer window and go up, when someone upstairs got it crawling over a gargoyle on camera and we heard them scream haha. Shit like this is no joke! Other people that ran from the crawlers basically said it disappeared when it got right behind them, and they had a mysterious scratch on their back or legs. I haven’t thought about these experiences in a while so sorry if I’m boring you but I thought you might be interested too lol

Awesome Josh ,I live 3 hours from Waverly, always wanted to go. Starting going blind in my right eye 8 years ago , so now I can't go there .So you enjoy ,I know people who have been there and it absolutely is haunted beyond what you would think .
We were just there a week ago this past Thursday and being a investigator for the last 13 years the only way I could describe coming here and rounding the turn in the driveway to see the corner of the building was the feeling equivalent to that of walking out on the 50 yard line of the Superbowl! There's no other feeling like it than experiencing Waverly Hills Sanatorium!
You still have to pay 1,000? Last I looked for private investigation you have to pay $100 a person for group of 10 even if you don't have 10 people

@@mrslappytaco1216 yeah it is a $1000 regardless if you have 10 or not. You can have up to 10 for the 1000 and 100 per person. Its really worth thd trip even for a small channel an content creators. We will be reserving 2 separate nights this cimung year again!

Yeah bro it's a dream place for me, I've had dreams bout it calling me to come, and moved from Cali to Arkansas during pandemic (connection to tht history is odd lol) so am close by it now. Seems like everything fell into place but going into another surgery so times rough right now so definitely can't afford that 😆. Sometime though! The fact it wanted Seth on the fourth floor alone and he was the only one not to go safe call. Most respectful ghost explorations I’ve seen on TH-cam in a while. Fear can create more energy so sometimes it’s not feeding into the fear and putting on a brave face. But it’s always good fun exploring new haunted places 😃 can’t wait to see more content 🤙🏼🔥😃
that was a brilliant vid! really love watching your vids josh! ..my nan had Tb and had to stay in one of those sanatoriums in the 1940s, think she was there for a year and had to stay in a chair wrapped up outside in the cold air for most of the stay, at least she had her sister with her who also had TB, but later her sister did pass away from that disease.

They spirits might have gotten used to you, I heard somewhere that if you are nice to a spirit then it might be more welcoming of you and give more info if you ask nicely

The 4th floor at Waverly is scary because that is where they see a lot of shadows moving back and forth and I was told there was a shadow figure that would crawl on the ceiling. I would NOPE out of there real quick if I saw it
Great! Waverly was much more spooky before the new owners bought the place. I'm glad they are keeping this place and restoring it. I grew up in Louisville in the 90's and have been in that place many times. Crazy experiences inside there as a teen.
That was the most haunted place yet, The amount of spirits there must be crazy, When John, KC and Josh went on there solo runs the stuff they got back was so clear, I believe there’s something evil in there.
At 7:15 there's a shadow in the top left side of one of the windows that's moving
This place is always off the hook! I’ve been there 3 times and it never disappoints! If you’re ever back out there again give me a holler! I have a lot of ghost hunting equipment to use! I have another place that you can check out in Indiana!

Josh this video was from 5 months ago how the hell did you see my comment😂 that’s so crazy I love that you actually read them. i’ve been binging your beyond the dark series and telling all my friends to go check it out bc they’re so interesting to watch. also if you get to read this comment too, consider checking out sloss furnace in birmingham al or possibly old bryce (it’s bryce mental hospital in tuscaloosa al). everyone from my town has gone and said it’s super haunted. it’s abandoned now, they built a new one and are using that one instead of the old one. these are just some places in my state, check ‘em out if your interested. love your vids❤️

@EploringWithJosh Hey Josh, my great Grandmother worked there in the late stages of the tuberculosis crisis. The Gargoyles were said to “Scare or fend off even spirits that may come and scare the patients of the hospitals”
I did a little research aswell and this is quite true. Carving pumpkins for Halloween? Goes back to all hallows eve people would carve pumpkins, squashes and even wood to scare off the even spirits that come with the late autumn.
My Grandma still has original building plans and letters from the state begging them to keep building their hospital.
