You bring the most value to the PvP community with your videos for people who want to take a deep dive. I play a lot of reaper and still learned a ton, can’t wait to go back and watch all the other ones I just found out you have
Better nerf necro to the ground level - to level of Guardian. Which is the weakest of all classes. Low damage. And after retal removed it is total garbage. But for me it's so nice to finish off necromancers on my guardian. It's good to beat much stronger enemies. Because it mean you are strong player. Not just overtuned BS necro. or Engi BS.
I'm still catching up on these, but I had to jump ahead to say what you had said about necros as I main Reaper. Great content as always. Perhaps it's coincidence, perhaps just practice, but my rating and win rate has been creeping up over the last few weeks as I learn how to better counter other classes and which ones to be wary of. This is high quality, must-see content for PvPers. Thanks! though with the necro counter guide out now, maybe I'll start getting beat down more. :)
Moa CC is fantastic against core necros and reapers, since moa ignores stability thus you can both break the lich and the shroud. And because they usually don't dodge during either, it's pretty easy to land. You can get moa as a mesmer (signet of humility) or as a core engi via elixir X tool belt skill (Moa on a 60 seconds cooldown!). Going core engi is a nice way to make the MU against (power) necs much more favorable. I run: Pistol/Shield, Alchemy 1/3/1, Tools 2/1/2 and Explosives 1/3/1 with Grenades, Elixir Gun, Elixir H for healing, S for shrinking and stealth and X for the transforms and Moa -> so you have an Excellent CC esp. Against necros, Eles (make sure not hit the magnetic aura), mesmers and thieves, high protection uptime, perma swiftness, good sustained healing, double dodges, alot of blindness, medium damage but you habe bad condi cleanses (use your lightfield wisely and remove condis on weaponswap) and you somewhat get countered by scrappers
hey @vallun would you be able to go into a little more depth on how to counter scourge with theif? I feel like every time I come across one in WvW it's just a shit show because they are usually condi and just spray AOE everywhere/build barrier. Can't seem to find a good window to attack against them. Feels like they are almost invincible half the time :/.
Vallun, I just want you to know that what you are doing with these educational vids is VERY appreciated, you have no idea how significant this series you have made is to people, especially new comers or returning players, I would imagine people would avoid pvp completely due to the current meta, your series help soften the blow, I personally only played engineer my entire GW2 gameplay, I know I am missing out I have started trying other classes recently, I just like the engi fantasy, so I have no idea what other classes do, this helps my understanding when fighting against them immensely, especially now with all the new elite specs, please continue your good work and thank you so much.
I have hope that your vids Vallun might affect the current meta, since now a lot more people will have a better understanding how to play against other classes, really looking forward to how things pan up.
Gonna have to watch this one specifically over and over and over because I still can’t wrap my head around how broken and grotesquely absurd Scourge is. Not sure I’ve seen anything more broken than it in any game I’ve ever played.

mostly just think about how barrier works, if you waste damage into it instead of waiting for it to go away you'' run out of resources
