Hi guys as long as you are enjoying your travels it will all come good in the end, you both look really well. So maybe not having the stress of vanlife is good for you 👊👍🚌🏴
Like Pat said Steve, we enjoyed van life when we did it, and still would but for the smash, but no use crying over spilt milk, so now Pat gets dressed up in these swanky hotels and drinks Prosecco.
I'm so glad you're keeping a sense of humour about all of this. It's important to consider what we control and what we don't. I enjoy your perspective in everything that has happened. You're both so lovely.
...: that is the question, whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer, the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles … Ah, which one will bring us peace. Pat and I have been navigating the reefs of life for 56 years, so we have had a lot of practice, but compared to many, we can count ourselves very fortunate.
Pleased to see you're still getting out having adventures, even though not in the van. I hope you get a big payout for your van and compensation for injury and stress. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Thats weird Tv conceived from looking at a Spud ? Well its ironic as now we have society of full of Couch Potatoes LOL 🤪🤪🤪 Hugz both great update 👊🦋🐾🚐👍🐶😘
You are right Trevor, none of us know how long we have left, so enjoy yourselves while you can. Its my birthday tomorrow!! So Pat is the same month as me! We are in Somerset now in the van, looks like it might be a nice weekend weather wise, had quite a bit of rain today, really heavy showers. Might see you tomorrow, bye!!
So I know it’s early days but what do you and Pat prefer so far….. motorhome when you had it or the lush hotels and car ? Just thought could be a topic of conversation on one of the videos. Also was it the barn dance, gay gordons and the one where the ladies used to queue on by the stage and the men would come round and dance with the First Lady in the queue - remember my mum and dad doing that at the British legion x
I prefered the motorhome before lockdown when it was cheaper and quieter, but since the lock down it's just got very popular and competitive. Plus Pat can't walk as far nowadays, and there's more walking involved in the motorhome because the sites we could afford were not in towns or by the sea. Now it doesn't matter where the hotels are because we have the car to visit places, or we can just enjoy the hotel if the weather is bad. Pat enjoys the people who are milling around in the hotel, and being waited on, and she prefers the car which is quieter and warmer.
Hi both! My hubby is just like you Trevor... it must be a tyke thing! He makes lists for everything, works out the costs of everything... budgets for everything, and knows where everything goes. Which isn't a bad thing... if it's anything about money, he'll know it, just like a yorkshireman! 😂 Take care both of you 😊
Haha, sounds like your hubby has it all figured out! Good for him! Gotta love a guy who knows how to keep things in check. It's that Yorkshire Knouse. Take care!
I appreciate your costing comparisons. Thanks. Keeping records can be depressing but essential for knowing where our hard earned dollars (Australia) go. They don't go as far as they used to. Fuel has reduced, for how long, we don't know. Budget accommodation can leave a lot to desire sometimes. We have used caravan park cabins for longer term stays and hotels occasionally, and motels for overnight stays. We miss free-camping in the Aussie bush and national parks. Would I buy another motorhome? Probably not now although a small camper (VW Kombi, etc) may be okay as we could use it in lieu of another vehicle we already have. Time will tell. Happy birthday on the 17th Pat. All the best folks.
This new so called government we have will put fuel duty up for sure. There's a new in word at the moment Barry, "Demure", or "Very Demure", and we like our accommodation to be very demure. Called in at M&S this afternoon and bought Pat a birthday present, Very Demure.😄

@@trevorpat-lifeontherun Thankyou! Bit cold, the heater on the van has packed up! Happy days!!! Hot water ok, just the heating! The joys of a van!!!
That's all you need, it's cooling off a bit. 😢 Is it the combi boiler or a diesel heater?
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun Its an Aldi heating system, so a combi!! Might be a trip to Highbridge today!!!
