I only lost my Mum in January so it is still a bit raw, Dads been gone 8 years and not a day goes by where i don't say something like oh my Dad would love that and can you remember this and so on.
Loved this chat today, lots of memories of times gone bye….my daughter and I are very close, we speak every single day on phone, she comes to visit us every month for weekend and comes on holidays with us….she is on her own and a home bird Trevor…it’s lovely to have that close bond. I have always been very close to my family, parents both gone now, my Mum had 2 sisters and both were like my Mum…very lucky to have a wonderful childhood with close family…..brings tears to my eyes …joyful tears x
It's heartwarming to hear about your close bond with your daughter and the wonderful memories you cherish with your family. Those connections truly make life special!
Lovely chat today. I really miss going for days out with my mum. She died in the October and just before Christmas I was in town Xmas shopping and I saw a lovely cardigan in M&S and thought "I will get mum that for Xmas" and it suddenly hit me hard that she wouldn't be there for Xmas. I miss her and my dad every day. See you tomorrow, bye!!!
My mum died in 2013, and my dad died in 1994, I was very sad, but in time we remember with affection the good times we spent together. So sorry Jacqueline.
Sadly I lost my Dad about 28 years ago I didn't know I was pregnant with my twins at the time. I lost my Mum 5 years ago just over, I'm still struggling with that one a little bit. Great chat xx
Hi, it’s lovely that Pat and Tracey get along so well, it is so true that not all families get on. I had a better relationship with Dad than Mum, for many years I stayed with my Nan during the week and went home at the weekend.
It's heartwarming to hear that you had a strong bond with your dad and your Nan. Family dynamics can be complicated, but those connections make a big difference!
@ so true, he told me he was worried about mum in Skegness, two weeks before he passed away, asking me to look after her. Every Saturday I took my two boys, they missed out on doing lots of things at weekends. My two brothers, went occasionally. xx
Nice chat again today 💕💕. My mom and I weren’t just mother and daughter, we were best friends also. Mom passed away in 1986 and dad in 2005. My dad remarried a year after mom died. The old saying applies to fathers too lol. Take care, stay safe and well. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing, Judy! Sounds like you had a great bond with your mom. Here’s to all the good times and the memories that still make us smile! Take care! 😊
My house is having all the new windows put in today, its been very stressful getting the house really for the guys to be able to get on with the work, have a working cocker spaniel dog, bless her shes eighteen month old and wondering what the hell is going on.lam sat in the lounge with my winter coat on am freezing. So will be thinking of you all when all the work having to be done Julie ❤.
Wow, sounds like a wild day! Just keep that coat on and hang tight-soon you'll have a nice view and a warm space! I remember when Tracey and David spent three months with their windows boarded up while David made the window frames. When Tracey and David do a job, it always has to be drastic!
I love the way you and Pat tell stories! It's good to see you looking well Trevor. Hope you are feeling well.
Happy memories that's what families are for. Enjoyed your chat today brought back fond memories of my own.
I'm so glad to hear that our chat resonated with you! Family memories truly are some of the most precious moments we have.

I lost my mum 2017 and still find it hard to come to terms with her not being here. Just miss her so much

It more of mum and daughter thing ,,,,,saying goes,,,,daughters a daughter all your life but a sons a son till he got a wife
So true! I guess that means daughters are like permanent tenants while sons are on a lease that can be renewed... or not! 😂
