Now that was a treat ! I’m local and always wanted to know what that lifeboat is like inside! Bigger than i imagined. Sheringham also has a vintage lifeboat museum which is well worth a visit. Hope you enjoyed your North Norfolk visit.

Try living in these areas. As a resident we have so much trouble with the Travellers who descend on to open spaces , car parks, farmers fields and in fact anywhere they want to, causing damage to property and leaving behind a disgusting mess of human excrement and rubbish. the local authority has to involve the courts to move them on.

First time viewer: New Subscriber • I haven't been to Cromer but I went to smelly Sheringham. There are HUGE quarried rocks on the top of the beach which I assume are to protect the seafront from the thrashing high tide but they're covered in algae and so they smell like a neglected stagnant fish tank or pond which is absolutely rank. Great Yarmouth and Gorleston on Sea are my most favourite places in the UK. Gorleston is the ONLY place where I have ever swam in the sea.
As a boat crew member of Marine Rescue NSW in Australia I really enjoyed seeing inside Lester, have always wondered how they compared to our boats, we’re all volunteers also! thanks for sharing!

I agree. The travellers used to park for the day then not leave and they have made it hard for other campervans/motorhomers,. So the towns decide it's safer to restrict all van owners from parking at all.
They should deal with it on a case by case basis instead of treating all uk citizens like we are “trouble”. What the REAL reason is, the Uk is obsessed with control. It hasn’t gotten over its tax everything and colonise everything and everyone past. If citizens choose to live outside the “system” they are forced in to it.
Great vid as always. Loved the lifeboat tour! Uk is so inhospitable towards campers. Yes there are sites to say at and we do at times but they are not always where you want to spend the day and, as you say, just being able to access places in the daytime would be nice at times! So much to learn from France and Spain in particular, but also Italy where we currently are - anyway…. Happy travels 😊

Also so many height barriers, I’d say it’s definitely not van friendly! But then again there are plenty of campsites around 😊
@theexPAWers there is a bit just before the actual car park, kind of like the road leading up and loads of campers park there. Thinking about it, you have visited during the school holidays so that may be why the height restrictions are up. I go up with my partners family all the time but not during school holidays and everything is easily accessible. Honestly I would visit again when it isnt so busy, Great Yarmouth has some really cute alternative shops and Hemsby is so sweet but washing away into the sea so it's really sad, but my dog loves the beach and we've seen seals there. Although litter can be an issue on that beach, but that's the general public for you 😢
Hi guy's, Lovely to see Dizzy and Charlie having fun . Beaches look amazing and nice and clean . Shame about the parking . Nice to see the sun too 😎 😀. Have fun guy's xx When you heading to Scotland ??? Don't want to miss it .
Sad , because whether you are an international tourist , or like yourselves UK residents, if you feel unwelcome you don’t stop and support local business. Sad too to see so many UK residents moving to other countries because they cannot afford to buy a home in their own country. This is not just in the UK of course . So many people globally are struggling to buy a home . Thanks for going the extra length to show us Norfolk . I really enjoyed seeing places that being disabled I have not been able to access because of the ban on vans. Many disabled people need vans to transport their electric wheelchairs. Loving your videos and your honesty and balanced views on the places you travel . Hugs
As a norfolkonian , the councils and nimbys are complete R's holes, so many carparks are unwelcoming for campers and those of us that like to wildcamp with landrovers and roof tents. However as assistant rep for glass I know and have driven every Greenlane in Norfolk over the last 20 years so i do happen to know of some great overnight stops with scenic views... I've also recently joined off grid campers, a great website/place to find an overnight camping spot with local landowners.
I Really enjoy your videos! I am being evicted from my wee cottage in the highlands and have bought a Mercedes bus to live in full time! I have even started to video it for YT! thanks for your inspiration! God bless
Unfortunately welcome to the UK Yorkshire' is considering banning motor homes completely between certain hours UK is a nightmare gif anyone in a MH That's why we are moving to Spain or Portugal I want Spain Kathryn wants Portugal can't win lol😅 UK is finnished 68 years we have given to this country Can't wait to get out starts Friday and we are of
Congratulations on getting away and doing what you guys want (if you can decide on the country!) Both Spain and Portugal are great, Spain is probably more MH friendly as parts of Portugal are strictly no wildcamping (mainly in the south coasts) Enjoy! ☀️ 😊
Seems that these so called van life people want to be able to park anywhere for free, dump their waste for free, empty their toilets for free while the rest of us pay council tax so they can have everything for free. Stuff that ban them all.
It’s only certain beauty spots in Yorkshire that are restricting motorhomes not ‘Yorkshire’ as a whole! Quite rightly if those places get packed out by MHs it spoils it for everyone else. (Proud MH owner here so not anti MH!)
Hi guys love what you do … did I hear say van said glow plug issue ??? Glow plugs are needed to regen the DFP wen driving not like on old Vinnie just for cold mornings ….
Hello, yes. Sometimes the glow plug light comes on when we start. But not all the time. These warning lights are a little intermittent and we’ve heard that happens a lot, most of the time we have no warning lights! We will give the van a good service before we leave the UK 😊
Unfortunately most towns and park ups along the Norfolk coast have gone no overnight camping. Also height barriers everywhere. This is mainly because of travellers causing major problems. Refusing to move on and leaving loads of rubbish, not to mention the local shops and pubs having to close because of the trouble they caused. There are still a few hidden spots, but nothing like there used to be.
I was beginning to think that you wished you had gone west to Wales, but the sun is shining, and the doggies 🐕 🐕 are having fun on the beach. Shame about the lack of park ups. Cheers 👍 🐸
Stumbled across your video going down a TH-cam rabbit hole , great video and I live local to Gorleston so lovely to see it. Loved seeing just how free you guys are would be amazing to do with my wife in the future when children have grown up. 👏🏼
Look forward to your vlogs and the UK is wonderful ❤ St Peters and St Paul’s is a beautiful cathedral! I love all the church buildings. Those beach huts are amazing, great postcard stuff!
So enjoy your channel, we both always look forward to watching you, in a none pervy way 😂😂, Norfolk is a lovely place, shame its gone none campervan friendly, lots of love Arlene and Spider
Great video guys. I really love the Norfolk coast especially as it’s within easy reach of where I live. Cromer has a bit of everything. Surprised you didn’t see more seals. Best time is November through to January when they are having their pups and then you’ll see hundreds filling the beach. Glad you got good weather as well. Brilliant channel. Been following you for years. 🙂👍👍👍👍🙂
These are resort towns that struggle for enough in-season trade as they are not as connected to to the motorway network as other places and they still shoot themselves in the foot by being hostile to the growing camper van use.
Exactly, they should do what New Zealand and Australia do where you can freedom park anywhere (unless sign posted!) and they have council workers who patrol a couple times a day who are friendly and just issue fines ONLY to those people who create who piles of rubbish or light fires where not allowed. Otherwise they just have a chat and recommend good surf spots and good places to eat. So tourist friendly and kind
I lived in Norfolk for several years and often go back to visit family. Interesting to see you walking along places I am so familiar with. When I take my camper down there (old 95 Peugeot Boxer called Doris) we used small independent campsites. Didn't realise it is so difficult to wild camp in the area
Like the Air Ambulance, the RNLI depends almost entirely on donations to fund the lifeboat service, so they should probably have mentioned that while giving you the tour.
Yes they did mention about the donations, the boat was named Leister after one of their big supporters, we mentioned this at the beginning and yes they are all volunteers there 😊
I tried Winterton-on-sea beach car park and was told 'we don't allow motorhomes' even though my van is only 5m long. I pointed to a VW van same length as mine in the car park and she was adamant that they didn't allow motorhomes! Glad you found a good spot eventually
Your videos are perfection. It‘s always easy to watch the whole thing, and I honestly look forward to them. Did I understand you‘re heading to Scotland? That‘s my plan, heading off from Deutschland in exactly 4 weeks… can‘t wait.
Hi guys love your show, sorry a missed ya, could have directed you to very friendly and dogs very welcome, Hopefully next time try the small sticks café turn off at cart gap. Free parking great for walking dogs. Regards Ray
Lovely video guys… glad you ended on a high!!! We visited Norfolk a few years ago but stayed on a campsite in Wells & went out for days as parking so difficult.
the reason for the building in flint is both practical and decorative. it will out last most other building materials and it can be shaped and grouped in different shades.
Gorleston pronounced Gawlstone! Is really nice we park on the Street near the old Lighthouse and watch the ships go in and out! The Film 'Yesterday' with Ed Sheeran was filmed there at the Hotel! Fakenham Campsite at the Race Course is good! We were at Cromer the other week at West Runton Campsite! Going there again tomorrow. There's a big grassy Carpark West of the Pier over looking the Sea, Nice to sit in the Van looking out to Sea!
Nick and Sarah , Thank you for the fun around the beach communities , and the great tour of the Rescue Life Boat ! So glad that Dizzie and Charlie had a fun time on the beach . Too bad about all the camper van restrictions ! You have a fun , nice channel ! Wonderful that you are spending time showing us around the UK ! I am from the USA, and really love seeing and hearing about UK history !
You need to look at the seals from November to January at Horsey Gap . You can’t go on to the beach with dogs when they pup, but you can still see them clearly from the dunes . Sadly we lost a few pups this year because people pestered them taking photos etc .
Used to live opposite the boating lake in Yarmouth. Glad you were there on sunny day. You saw it at iits best. Lovely to see the dogs running around on Gorleston beach. Hope weather stays kind🎉
Horsey Gap car park is crazy busy! Campervans are welcomed at Horsey Windmill National Trust carpark though. Go back in late October and walk to the beach to see the seal pups!
Norfolk is so lovely with its stretches of sandy beaches. Loved the lifeboat segment. Used to be a coastguard volunteer in Queensland. Our boat was nothing like as fancy as the one you toured. No closeups with seals; maybe you'll see some otters in Scotland! They're such intriguing critters. Guys, is your block if land in Portugal safe? There've been so many reports of fires.
Glad you got to Gorleston. The beach is beautiful and you can rent out the beach huts. I saw one called Prosecco Palace I think I was called. Safe travels.
Wow what a fantastic tour RNLI you do an amazing job Thankyou for your professionalism and ultimate dedication , the fact you’re all volunteers is remarkable Wonderful to see really enjoyed vlog Norfolk is beautiful . Visited in 2017 and parking wasn’t easy then .
Great so far! A lot easier to drive I suppose😂.. Very expensive if it goes wrong though we’ve heard but that’s the same with so many mechanical issues 😅
If you think the beaches in Norfolk are nice. Wait until you get to Scotland. Seals, dolphins and campervan friendly. I could name many perfect places to stop. Off in my stealth campervan to Scotland in 10 days. Yippee 😊
Did you not get to see the "Banksy" on the sea wall just beyond the last beach hut you went to on the Cromer sea front? If not, you were so close (literally 5 to 10 metres away from it: (By the way, on the previous video, Snettisham is pronounced Snettis-shum not Snettis-ham (Beach). And it is Gorle-ston on sea rather than Gor-leston. But that is Norfolk names for you. Good job you didn't go to Happisburgh (pronounced hays-borough go figure) nor Wymondham (Wind-ham)
@@theexPAWers Great footage of Cromer though.I love the drone footage. It always gives an unusual perspective on any location, but especially more interesting when one is also familiar with the location oneself. (Gt Yarmouth and Gorleston also have Banksy work too, by the way). Living in Germany, it is interesting to watch your travels and especially this batch as I come from Norfolk (grew up in Lowestoft and used to live in the Norwich area). Regarding the names of places, Norfolk is a little special in that regard 🤓.
Aww great vlog .. just to say … sorry I know I said already… but for future reference … you can park the van in burnham Overy Staithe in the open car park by the water .. free … and walk to the beach with the dogs to the beautiful huge Sandy beach 😘🚌🐶🐶 Norfolk is always so windy … shame they don’t allow for van life … but looks like you made the most of it and explored … thanks for sharing 🥰
Also the Coasthopper or i think it's called the Coastliner now, basically a bus service that goes back and forth along the coast so you could go a few miles along on the bus and walk back to your campsite along the coastal path through the sand dunes.
Hi, thanks for another video. I look forward to Thursdays! I'm from the UK and want to buy a van to travel around Europe, but I want a left hand drive. Where did you get yours? or can anyone recommend?
Flamborough head in Yorkshire is good for seal all year and Donna Nook in Lincolnshire sea pups too on the beach I think they have website. The pups start October November time x
great video. i was just wondering if the rnli charged for iresponsible rescues. i mean going out to sea in crazy weather etc. not wearing the correct clothing etc.
Nope they don't, personal responsibility is in short supply in the UK, head into the north sea on a lilo with nothing but flip flops, and total disregard for anything, then rely on others to risk their lives to save you with no consequences, morons
Hello my lovelies x come back in November when it’s super quiet and see the seals and their pups on Winterton beach. Happy to have you park up at my place just a few miles from the Norfolk coast 😁 Oh and the stone used on buildings in Norfolk is all flint - either kept whole (like a pebble) or knapped to create a flat surface. Love watching your travels and the doggies 💕

Have fun guy's xx
When you heading to Scotland ???
Don't want to miss it .
Hey Louise.. Thanks for watching 😊 heading to Scotland next week.. Very excited 😊
@@theexPAWers Hi guy's .
I'm in Ruby beach might see you there ..... exciting 😳😳🤩
Have a good trip xx
Hugs
Lovely vlog again, weather looked amazing. Shame you are having trouble with park ups. Hope it gets better xxx
Thankyou so much ❤️ x 😊
Brilliant visit to the RNLI lifeboat station, all run on donations & 100% dedicated volunteer RNLI crew.
Yes, you are right! Only one guy is paid (the boss/engineer, it’s a full time job for him) everyone else are volunteers, brilliant team of people 😊
Many people have stopped donating to them due to their ferry service.
@@galdessa1 Shame on them.
@@theexPAWers wow
@@galdessa1 I will support them
Wow the lifeboat is amazing & incredible 💙😮
Yeah, it was lovely to get a tour there😊
As a norfolkonian , the councils and nimbys are complete R's holes, so many carparks are unwelcoming for campers and those of us that like to wildcamp with landrovers and roof tents.
God bless
So glad you found this lovely beach & Charlie with Desi just had such fun. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yes it was such a wonderful place as is most of Norfolk, just a shame is so hard to park up if you have a van! 😊
Great video as always guys. The drone shots are stunning. ❤
awwwww, Thankyou☺️☺️xx
Unfortunately welcome to the UK
Yorkshire' is considering banning motor homes completely between certain hours
UK is a nightmare gif anyone in a MH
That's why we are moving to Spain or Portugal I want Spain Kathryn wants Portugal can't win lol😅
UK is finnished 68 years we have given to this country
Can't wait to get out starts Friday and we are of
Good for you but it's happening all round the world agenda 2030
Don't blame you at all, we have a lovely country but it's, not a nice place to live anymore.
Great video and the drone shots were epic.Sorry you guys missed out on Holkham Beach. Its fantastic. Hope you make it to explore the Norfolk Broads👍
Thanks so much.. The weather was pretty bad when we passed be Holkham unfortunately, we’ll just have to save that for next time! 😊
@@theexPAWers I have a quiet park up overlooking my lake for you. See you next time 🙂
Beautiful video as always ❤
Crumpets sun sand and salt air oh my! Glad you found a spot to run the boys.
Oh yeah.. The last beach was great and a lovely day too to end our little tour of the Norfolk coast 😊
Haven’t watched this episode yet , i will cant wait.
We think it’s a good one Paul and hope you enjoyed it 😊
Warms my heart to see the boys enjoying themselves on the beach❤ always great videos thank you Sarah and Nick xx
Thanks so much for watching Sandra 😊
My name is Carole 😂 ❤
I was beginning to think that you wished you had gone west to Wales, but the sun is shining, and the doggies 🐕 🐕 are having fun on the beach. Shame about the lack of park ups.
Cheers 👍 🐸
Wales is fab, we know this but we didn’t know Norfolk! Lovely coast line but plan ahead as parking vans is hard 😊
Wow brilliant photos seals ❤
Thank you! Cheers! New Zealand is soooooo Amazing 😊
Stumbled across your video going down a TH-cam rabbit hole , great video and I live local to Gorleston so lovely to see it. Loved seeing just how free you guys are would be amazing to do with my wife in the future when children have grown up. 👏🏼
Awww, thanks so much for the feedback☺️.. We do love doing what we do, have a good day x
The coast road is right on the seafront at Walcott.
Look forward to your vlogs and the UK is wonderful ❤ St Peters and St Paul’s is a beautiful cathedral! I love all the church buildings. Those beach huts are amazing, great postcard stuff!
Thanks so much for watching..😁
When you was a Gt Yarmouth race course, there was free on street parking next to the beach about 2 minutes from there 👍
That beach was really pretty
So enjoy your channel, we both always look forward to watching you, in a none pervy way 😂😂, Norfolk is a lovely place, shame its gone none campervan friendly, lots of love Arlene and Spider
😂😂.. Awwww, Thankyou guys.. Glad you enjoyed the vid 😊
Great vlog and love your two boys 💚💚💚
Glad you enjoyed it.. Sending love ❤
Awww, thanks so much for continuing to watch our videos, we really appreciate you.. Have a fab weekend ❤
Exactly right! Crazy isn’t it 😢
I lived in Norfolk for several years and often go back to visit family.
Hi guys love your show, sorry a missed ya, could have directed you to very friendly and dogs very welcome,
Hopefully next time try the small sticks café turn off at cart gap.
It looks really amazing we think! Thanks so much for watching..😁
Yeah it’s a beautiful place if you book ahead like you guys.. Plenty of campsites to stay.. Have a good trip 😊
Great Video, you should be on tv. Loved the skit on the lifeboat too. Your weekly vids are a real blessing, thanks.
awwwww, Thankyou Matthew ☺️☺️xx
Nick and Sarah , Thank you for the fun around the beach communities , and the great tour of the Rescue Life Boat ! So glad that Dizzie and Charlie had a fun time on the beach . Too bad about all the camper van restrictions ! You have a fun , nice channel ! Wonderful that you are spending time showing us around the UK ! I am from the USA, and really love seeing and hearing about UK history !
awwwww, Thankyou so much for continuing to follow along on our journey Charlotte ❤❤☺️☺️xx
You need to look at the seals from November to January at Horsey Gap . You can’t go on to the beach with dogs when they pup, but you can still see them clearly from the dunes . Sadly we lost a few pups this year because people pestered them taking photos etc .
First vid of yours seen, liked it lots. Just like your open honest style. Subscribed
Awesome! Thankyou so much and welcome to our channel 😊x
Used to live opposite the boating lake in Yarmouth. Glad you were there on sunny day. You saw it at iits best. Lovely to see the dogs running around on Gorleston beach. Hope weather stays kind🎉
Good Sunday afternoon🎉🎉🎉nice video and the scenery is so nice.
Thanks for watching 😊
Horsey Gap car park is crazy busy! Campervans are welcomed at Horsey Windmill National Trust carpark though. Go back in late October and walk to the beach to see the seal pups!
Seals at St.Mary's lighthouse, north east, near Whitly Bay....no height restrictions on the car park 👍
Yes, we’ve found a few spots up north we will check out 😊
Norfolk is so lovely with its stretches of sandy beaches.
The end of the pier summer show is well worth a look.
We usually park up near the hospital and walk in.
Great to see your tour of our county , I think the camping will be better inland away from the coast.
Glad you got to Gorleston. The beach is beautiful and you can rent out the beach huts. I saw one called Prosecco Palace I think I was called. Safe travels.
Wow what a fantastic tour RNLI you do an amazing job Thankyou for your professionalism and ultimate dedication , the fact you’re all volunteers is remarkable
Wonderful to see really enjoyed vlog Norfolk is beautiful . Visited in 2017 and parking wasn’t easy then .
Thanks so much for watching and for you comment 😊❤
Hi Guys, a question about your van, how’s the Automatic Transmission ? We are looking to buy an automatic 🤔
Yippee 😊
Can’t wait 😊
I was there too last year, but I had the fish and chips, and an ice cream,
Also went to Sandringham, there is a camper park
Loved the vlog guys ❤
Thankyou so much ❤️ x
Did you not get to see the "Banksy" on the sea wall just beyond the last beach hut you went to on the Cromer sea front? If not, you were so close (literally 5 to 10 metres away from it: (By the way, on the previous video, Snettisham is pronounced Snettis-shum not Snettis-ham (Beach). And it is Gorle-ston on sea rather than Gor-leston. But that is Norfolk names for you. Good job you didn't go to Happisburgh (pronounced hays-borough go figure) nor Wymondham (Wind-ham)
Haha, we’re always going to get the name wrong wherever we go! Thought we were going to be ok in England😂😂
Nice video guys.
Thanks for that.
We love the way you speak English down here. Charming accent.
Cheers from Canada.
awwwww, Thankyou so much ☺️☺️xx
Also the Coasthopper or i think it's called the Coastliner now, basically a bus service that goes back and forth along the coast so you could go a few miles along on the bus and walk back to your campsite along the coastal path through the sand dunes.
Hi, thanks for another video. I look forward to Thursdays! I'm from the UK and want to buy a van to travel around Europe, but I want a left hand drive. Where did you get yours? or can anyone recommend?
Oooh watching from New Zealand, lovely to see you cut to NZ and our coastal seals.
Do you have any video of your trip here ??
Lovely weather, it's not raining for a change. Enjoyed the life boat tour, never saw the insides before. Thanks for taking me along
You’re so welcome 😊.. Thanks so much for watching.. xx
Hello, as far as we know they don’t charge for any rescues - no.. Thanks so much for watching..
What lovely beaches... the dogs finally got to run and play.. great video.. Thank you so much!!!
Thanks so much for watching..😁 ❤
Banksys art work is at the end of those huts. Did you manage to see it?
Nice video, beautiful beach to enjoy. Good thing you’re there off season.
It sure was! Thanks so much for watching..😁
I went to Scotland yesterday - 25°!!
Practically a heatwave in Scotland 😂
Yes!! We seen on the weather report.. It’s going to be freezing when we get up there next week😊
Well done on reaching Gorleston, one of our favourite places. Excellent filming of the coastline, thank you.
❤😊
Beautiful England xx
Hello my lovelies x come back in November when it’s super quiet and see the seals and their pups on Winterton beach. Happy to have you park up at my place just a few miles from the Norfolk coast 😁 Oh and the stone used on buildings in Norfolk is all flint - either kept whole (like a pebble) or knapped to create a flat surface. Love watching your travels and the doggies 💕
awwwww, Thankyou so much for the offer and the info, hopefully we will get back there again soon, still lots to see and if we can have a few drives to park on even better!!! 😉☺️xx
The title was a bit misleading. The people of Norfolk welcome campers.
So pleased you found somewhere to stay and that the boys could play on the beach ❤❤❤❤ xxxx
We could meet up with you in Yarmouth or Gorleston, just had got our van back from the garage last Friday. Never mind, we will be in Spain in next January hope to see you both there if you not be in Portugal. Travelling safely guys. X
I had no idea how sophisticated the boats are. I was an RNLI volunteer and used to fundraise at London Bridge station. They also help out on the Thames
Such pretty scenery. Love the walks on the beach. The doggies love it too.
Thanks so much for watching Sally..😁
Love cromer , when we were there in summer hols, the sea was really blue , had yum fish c chips from Mary Jane, then had yum ice cream , watching the diggers move the big stones around xx
