Strain it while hot!! Don’t let it cool!!! Soooooo much easier. Also you can reuse the seeds! I freeze them and get another use or two. 🤗🤓😀

@@la4894 I use a standard metal strainer and funnel to make it even easier but u don’t necessarily need a funnel. But yea just pour it right through after and don’t wait for it to cool and thicken. Hope that helps! 🤓

The flex seed oil could go bad within one week, keeping it in the fridge. That's why I put little portions in the freezer.

I luv flax gel... I just don't always feel like making it. I never add essential oils & I keep it in the fridge for 2-3wks...if I don't run out 1st.

I stoped using flaxseed gel because of all the work you gave to put in, but a couple of months back, I ran into this video again and made the flaxseed gel. I forgot how much my hair LOVES IT!!!I totally forgot how good my hair looks with this.
So! I now only make flaxseed gel once in the 2 or 3 months and I make A LOT.
What I do is: I make a bunch of flaxseed gel and put it in an ice cube trays and freeze it in. I just take out the right amount of gel the night before so it can melt. Voila! It works wonders to freeze it✨

If you guys want to add extra things to the oil you can add marshmallow root to the water and flaxseed and use aloe Vera juice instead of water, also glycerine, and even carbomer( thickener) then preservative like germaben ll to preserve for months

Sorry you're wrong. I've studied microbiology for beauty products. Water breeds bacteria very very quickly. The essential oils will not preserve it that long as there is contamination in water even after you boil it, the containers you use and the pots you use all have microbes that will contaminate the gel. PUT it in the fridge with some essential oils for NO LONGER THAN A WEEK, unless you really to risk a scalp infection.

You would need to keep it in the refrigerator and use it with glycerin put at least some glycerin in it and that will preserve it and keep it in the refrigerator for the most part.... it will last for a pretty good amount of time at least I would say a month because I do the same thing if not longer I've been using mines for a while that I make similar to everything that you're doing the oils and the gel I do also I just was looking at your video cuz I came across it.
