Yay! I am so excited you decided to join #teamnoscissors . I started #teamnoscissors on my TH-cam and Instagram going on two years now. Its amazing to see that it has already started to work for so many people! I, myself have not cut my hair in over 7 years and I know its possible to have long healthy hair without requiring frequent trims or haircuts! Thank you Alba for sharing your journey with us! I cant wait to see your results! It may take years to reach tailbone length but it is possible! Patience along with natural hair care as you outlined is key!
this treatment has made such a difference with my hair, it's amazing! I have very different hair texture than you - really fine, straight, weak hair. but ever since I've started applying the different oil treatments it's so much stronger and shinier! I don't even have brush it really because it doesn't get tangled anymore. THANK YOU for sharing!!
I'm going to do the challenge. My hair is badly damaged due to a salon dying ny hair and messed it up. Now my natural curls doesn't come out much. You inspired me to not give and be patience. I'm determined to bring it back heathier then before . thank you alba
Okay Alba! Just give me about 99.98$ to buy all the oils & we'll be in business. Like dang girl "how many oils can you put in one bottle" should be the name of this challenge!
You can find most of these oils in the products called dominican formula. It's an all natural beauty and hair line and i just love it for my curly hair. You can check it out on the Website Dominicanformula.com.
I sell a hair oil with Rosemary, Castor oil, coconut oil, emu oil, Tea tree, biotin and other oils on ebay for $10.99 search hair thickening growth oil :)
Omg you aré the first Dominican TH-camr i know! I am also Dominican! When i was little my hair was really long always bottom butt length! But once i started getting older my mom said my hair was difficult to manage, so she did da Worst thing Ever, she put a perm in my hair! Now my hair is dry, short, and transitioning. Its very difficult. Ive been looking for youtubers and products that Wood help me. So i am going to check out ur channel i really hope it helps. Thanks for the video!
Can't wait to try this!! I have medium length hair when it's straightened but when I leave it curly it's really short ! I've been wanting to grow my hair for the longest time. I'm so glad you did this video, soo helpful. Thank you Alba!💕
I love this, "something in the oven, child is napping and I'm doing laundry." SunKissAlba 😂😂😂 story of my life! I can't wait to get my oils!!!! Thanks for sharing! #hairgrowth #newsubscriber
I haven’t followed you but for last 3/4 months and found this hair growth challenge but my hairs about to my behind and I’m crazy about trying keep it healthy so I’m so glad to find this recipe and am going to do it! I’d had loved to done this challenge with you! I’m sad about it! Your beautiful and inspirational and I greatly admire everything I have found you to be about! Thank you for being you and showing us that the real you is more beautiful than a ‘fake’ you!
I am just now catching this challenge. I just moved to Seattle where it rains a ton. So straight hair is not going to work well (much frizz) I decided this would be a good time for curls. & being that I cut my hair this summer I could grow it out. Your challenge is just what I need. So starting tonight I measure the length and give up heat. However since I am so far behind on the challenge if you can start again in Jan or Dec when this 6 months ends. I will start now but I will love to go the 6 months with you all as well. So yes please make a year and start the second six months again so us new comers can join a new cohort. & Thank you for loving your natural beauty. It's hard to do in a world like our right now. You're very inspiring.
I can totally relate with hair length being so important. My moms hair always was long and so were my aunts and mine. So cutting my hair almost made my aunt have a heart attack lol 😂😂😂 I can't wait to see your results and MANNY is hilarious!! I can not!!! While you're growing I'm thinking of cutting more 🙈
This summer I started using less heat but on August 7 I completely gave up heat styling tools. My hair has grown and I'm ahhhhmazzzed! Last year when my hair would air dry it would be dry and damaged but looked long so I didn't mind, I just used A LOT of product to make it look healthy again. Now my hair is super defined but looks quite short due to shrinkage but I love it dearly. I don't think I'm going to give up heat completely but I'm going to be more mindful of how I treat my hair from here on out. Also I'ld like to thank you for your videos, when I was younger you were my first curly hair role model and I felt proud that we shared the same hair type and that we resemble one another in a way (I come from a predominately white area and I was the only girl in my grade for a long time to have curly hair and tanned skin). This wasn't just a curly hair recovery journey for me but it was me accepting who I am and who I want to be. Thank you for that spark of inspiration.
love this information, my hair use to be down to the middle of my back until I was 11 of age then my mother didn't want to do my hair any longer, she had it cut, had it permed, and just simply let other people do my hair. once I was grown I've always missed my length, but never new what it took to keep it how I remembered, so now this brought back a lot of hair remedies my mother had used, and now I'm up for the challenge! mainly of getting my hair back and feeling better than ever, because I can be myself from now on, instead of feeling like I have to be and look like everyone else. Much love, and see you soon! with my updates
I'm not new to the task of hair journeys so I've used most, if not all of these oils at some point and have them available. Thanks, Alba, for wanting to help those who desire to grow long hair. I'm sure many appreciate you for it!
I wish you so much luck on your hair journey Alba ! You have helped me so much through out the years of your curly hair journey, I started mine around the same time and my hair reached tailbone length ! I recently trimmed of 2 inches and got some layers to give me more body and volume but your hair will grow in no time. Good luck to anyone else trying to reach their hair goals, practice patience 😊
Love this! I accept this challenge! This couldn't have come at a better time, because I had just decided that I wanted to get serious about treating my hair and body better. You are my helpful encouragement!!
castor oil is my jam! I put it on my hair and people always comment on how good it smells. I have a friend who has really dry, damaged hair and when I put castor oil on her hair she says it's really soft and feels healthier. Also, if you're trying to grow thicker eyebrows or anything like that castor oil helps!
I love how silky and smooth Argan life pure argan oil makes my hair! I love that I can also use this on my dry skin, and it is not greasy at all! I am so happy I had the chance to review this pro duct!
Alba I started the natural hair journey!! My hair looked just like yours when you started and it's been two weeks and my hair is starting to grow like CRAZY!! I'm going on vacation in about a month and I don't know how to take care of my hair while on the beach or the pool .. I would usually put a hair masque as soon as I would get out of the water.. Can you make a video on what you do with your hair in the summer when you are at the pool/beach
What I usually do and works great for me is I get my hair wet and put conditioner on it and seal it with oil. It protects your hair from soaking up too much salt water or chlorine. It's also good to use a sunblock for hair to prevent your hair from lighting but I don't do that. After wards my hair it's easily de tangled and I just do my regular routine. 😉
I used to use this hair treatment but I guess it was too heavy for my hair cz it increased my hair fall. I would suggest trying each oil individually first and see if it suits your hair and then use it all together.
I will definitely join this challenge with you! it will take me a minute to save up my coins to buy all the necessary oils, but as soon as i do i will be on my way to healthier hair. Thanks for sharing this video!
i only have a few oils.. I have coconut oil, rosemary oil, argan oil, caster oil, and lavender oil. Just wanted to know if i mix these products together will it still help my hair grow?
I'm Dominican as well and I agree that it is all about the hair!! Most of the women in my family own a beauty salon !! Thanks for this I will definetly be trying it out ! I believe it will be effective because about two months ago I started using avocado oil hair drops on my hair and immediately it started growing something I wasn't even expecting lol i just wanted to use it as a leave in for my scalp . & I want my hair longer so that it is easier to style the curls how I want them
I get a lot of shrinkage. My hair is about nipple length lol but it shrinks up to my shoulders. But I recently discovered it has grown because my hair was at least to where my armpit starts? Idk how to explain it but I was so surprised because I felt like my hair just stopped growing. But I'll definitely invest in some of these oils and I wanna try that shampoo brush because its all the hype right now.
Im soo happy you did this video. my hair will not grow past a certain length!! i hope this helps my hair and i can reach my dream hair length! :) thank you!
Keep in mind that if your hair was once longer it can be longer again and there are many other factors in lifestyle that contribute to longer hair. For example, your use of heat, chemicals in stylers, alcohol, and your diet. All contribute to how different everyone's end results may be. We will surely all see improvement but it'll be interesting to see the differences. Find more details on my blog www.SunKissAlbaBlog.com
I really like your philosophy and your perspective on hair, and gentle treatment of yourself. You have inspired me to renew kindness towards myself, my hair, my life goals etc. Thanks for the video.
Black Velvet I'm still trying to figure that one out. I like the cold press because it doesn't smell as nutty as the jbco however the jbco less expensive so I use it more, also some unscrupulous persons put salt in jbco which causes unbearable itching/burning to some consumers not to mention hair loss. So if in doubt go cold press. I trust my suppliers so I don't have an issue. hope this helps
I just finished your video and I'm really excited on trying it!!! :-) Your an inspiration to everyone (even to me) on pursuing to have healthier, achieving hair and to be a healthy individual. Keep doing what your doing chica! :-]
Maybe this is a stupid question but is it really okay to mix so many oils together at once? That wouldn't be too much on your hair? I know oils are very beneficial but I've never used so many at once...
Amanda Matthews why not just use Avocado, banana, honey an coconut water, or Oliver oil, My hair was thinning at the very top of my head, where my bang start, I use this condition, by mixing it together an my hair are moist an getting thicken already, leave it on about three hours, rinse it out, put regular condition on my hair an rinse it out, put leave in condition
***** No. Its just that I hear hot oil helps hair growth but turns out the oil loses its nutrients according to alba. So I don't know which one I should do the inversion or this.
I'm so happy!! This video was needed in my life. I too have curly hair and shrinkage is annoying. My hair is bra strap length but when curly it is on my neck. 😣 I'm going to join this challenge and I'm excited!!!!
oh gosh! This video is right on time... I want to grow my hair longer and I definitely need to start trimming my hair more. thanks for sharing your recipes!
*I'm african amer ican and argan life pro ducts works great on my hair. It really helps my hair grow. My family and friends are now using it. My friend is cauc asian and says her thinn ing hair is beco ming thicker. Be sure to follow the direct ions. Good luck!*
argan life products really the best hair growth product for me. Seeing result has taken about 2 months, but the growth is noticeable and I will continue to use.It is totally worth to try.
I just bought a bottle of mielle organics vitamins. A bottle that's big enough to hold 2 liters of water. I might rebraid my hair or buy some weave to do a protective style. And my next pay check is going towards all these oils. I'm starting everything after I big chop and I'm kicking off the week with the inversion method. It's going down I'm suuuuuper excited to see the results. Thankyou so much for this video and your channel actually.
This recipe is so close to my DIY Hair Growth Oil using Ancient Ingredients video! That's ok though :) I love your videos especially your hair and skin care videos. I've been growing my hair for 2 1/2 years now. I love natural makeup too. I have very sensitive skin so I only use very natural makeup. Thanks for sharing! ♡
I also only trim my hair once a year, I get my layers cleaned up about 1-2 inches and that's all I need on a yearly basis. My hair stays perfectly healthy even tho I do straighten it 1-3 times a year. I take very good care of my hair so I'm sure you will reach your goals in no time alba and to anyone else. You probably won't even need the trim after 6 months
I tried some of anti-hair loss drug and herbal approaches - but they are totally wasted time and money . All of them include chemicals. My friend was using argan life and she recommended me and I trusted her. I bought this product on eBay. Now, I am really satisfied with this product. Thank you my friend for suggestion and thank you so much argan life
***** what is the benefit of argan oil? every hair product i've ever used that had argan oil had a really strong smell that I did not like so I was wondering if it was necessary.
So happy you made this video. I started using a mixture of organic oils before washing my hair to see how it works out for hair growth. I get the same questions. As you always say Patience is key! Def taking this challenge on with you girl! :)
Correct, but different oils act very differently in my hair and on my scalp. I use olive oil alone, and coconut oil alone in my hair, but my scalp REALLY loves the mixture. My hair grows faster, feels softer, and retains moisture better. As I said, it's well worth the investment for ME. You may feel differently for YOU.
Hi, i've been on this natural hair journey since April. However, I starting using the oil mixture after you started the hair growth challenge. My hair has grown an inch. Not bad! I'm excited to see how much it will grow by December.
My hair use to be really short from damaged from all the dyeing and perming. it took me 4 months to grow to neck base length. Do you want to know how I did it. Well i put it up in braids,no heat or any type of oils. People think oils help but thats only for a few. Our hair is naturally oily so no need for the extra stuff.
girl with all these oils it'll take approximately 4 washes to pull out the oils... that's too much for a treatment..plus essential oils are ment to be used in smaller amounts because they are too strong!
sou brasileira e acompanho seus vídeos á um bom tempo, nem entendo oque você fala, mas te acho linda, uma inspiração :) criei meu cana a pouco tempo queria muito que você desse uma olhada
So excited to try this. I just started documenting my hair journey on my channel including my top hair products (many are shea moisture). I just got my devacut and lost some length (I will review that shortly) but in the meantime, I hope that your tips will help me grow my hair long again as well as healthy!
I have pin straight baby fine hair and you'd be surprised, everyone's body is different but my hair growth rate is as slow as my sister in law who's African American and I don't do any heat or coloring (neither does she)
Thank you so much SunKissAlba for all the great and valuable information you always give to your subscribers. I love your videos but most of all I love your genuine beautiful spirit! Wishing you All the Blessings!
I'm starting late... but my mom and I are going to try to do this for a year :) I just got all of my heat damage cut off last week and ready to start my healthy hair journey!
I remember having uneven/damaged hair because I decided to bleach it and not take care of it. So that's when I decided to BC and that was 3 years ago. I went from ear length to just a inch above BSL :) but I feel I haven't reached my hair goal yet because shrinkage is a killer frfr lol . so I am joining this hair challenge
I haven't heat styled/ blow dryers straight my hair for 5 months already and I wait 3-4 months to have trims....... Can't wait for this journey to wait length with curly hair
I was doing this oil massage thingi for a while now and i have to say it works WONDERS!! I usually also turn my head upside down and massage it for another 3-4minutes (inversion method) to get that extra blood flow. My hair grow about 3 inches in one month:0 Btw i love your videos i am always so excited to watch your new ones :) Lots of love to you :-*
I'm adding Organic Emu Oil to mine as well!! Emu helps suppress DHT which is a hormone that causes hair thinning/loss in men and women. I love this mixture and have been using this whenever I wash. I've avoided splits and breakage. And my hair is SO soft!!
Alba, you should try this method of cleansing the oil: it's UCPE - umectar, condicionar, pausar, enxaguar (brazilian for "putting the oil", "putting conditioner", "pause", "rinse"). Basically, you put the oil, do the routine normally of massaging and waiting the time you want for the oils to work. then you use a conditioner (without any silicons, or mineral oils) on the hair without water. put the conditioner on ALL the hair, scalp to tip, and massage some minutes. "pause" for like 20 to 30 minutes, and rinse your hair. If you want to, you can use de conditioner again to really Cleanse the scalp. this method helps to not taking away the benefits of the oils on the hair without using sulfates from the shampol. and It doesn't leave the hair oily, even my sister who have straight hair do this method and It Works.
The way she talks, her personality seems like its as beautiful as she is. Smart lady.
Thank you for this video!
this treatment has made such a difference with my hair, it's amazing! I have very different hair texture than you - really fine, straight, weak hair. but ever since I've started applying the different oil treatments it's so much stronger and shinier! I don't even have brush it really because it doesn't get tangled anymore. THANK YOU for sharing!!
I am soooo in LOVE with you hair! I love the texture and your curl pattern is really nice!!!Another great video!
To funny ,tbh you don't have to use 1000 different oils I'm just gonna use the ones I have already which is 3 x
You can find most of these oils in the products called dominican formula. It's an all natural beauty and hair line and i just love it for my curly hair. You can check it out on the Website Dominicanformula.com.
It's all natural btw.
I sell a hair oil with Rosemary, Castor oil, coconut oil, emu oil, Tea tree, biotin and other oils on ebay for $10.99 search hair thickening growth oil :)
kandi preciado where?
if you just stick the bottle in a bowl of hot water, it will heat the oil up without killing the nutrients.
Yay! Can't wait to join in with this! Just trimmed off my damaged ends so now is the perfect time :) x
YAY!!!

It's the same thing in my Asian/ African family, the value of long hair.. When I big chopped everyone got so mad at me lol... It's hair....
I started this challenge not too long ago and everyone has already been noticing a difference in my hair and I'm loving it! 😍
You're so stunning! jealous of your hair! idc I love curly hair and wish I have that naturally! my hair is naturally straight...
Beautiful 💕
I wish you so much luck on your hair journey Alba ! You have helped me so much through out the years of your curly hair journey, I started mine around the same time and my hair reached tailbone length ! I recently trimmed of 2 inches and got some layers to give me more body and volume but your hair will grow in no time. Good luck to anyone else trying to reach their hair goals, practice patience 😊

Ism somerhalder try without coconut oil
miss my dark hair but I love the color I have right know!!! I really want to try this!
I love rosemary essential oil in my hair! I feel like it really helps my hair grow:)
For sure! It will help a lot.
perfect ^_^

Definitely going to try this!
I was wondering if I should use the coconut oil because coconut oil usually dries out my hair.
yes it dries my sons hair out as well he mix
Sounds like you may have low porosity hair which doesn't like too much protein.
oh yess im READYYYY!! just need to do a bit of SHOPPING xx
Im soo happy you did this video. my hair will not grow past a certain length!! i hope this helps my hair and i can reach my dream hair length! :) thank you!

she is like the prettiest girl on youtube. and she's Dominican so I guess I am biased bc I am too
Going to start using the hair growth oil treatment this week. I can't wait to have good healthy hair. Love this video!
You you came here for 4:34
yep☺
thanks
Ty
aww she's so informative and pretty. and i love that she uses organic products
whats the difference between black castor oil vs the light one
The beans are roasted & boiled giving you the black castor oil, the cold press is yellow
What about the inversion hair method?
***** No. Its just that I hear hot oil helps hair growth but turns out the oil loses its nutrients according to alba. So I don't know which one I should do the inversion or this.
awkwardnchey I do the inversion method without the oil and I've experienced about 5 inches of growth in 6 1/2 months.
awkwardnchey inversion hair method? i'm going to have to google this...
+awkwardnchey I tried it a couple times when I was transitioning. I got my hair to my arm pit. I'm gonna try it again.
.
I'm so happy!! This video was needed in my life. I too have curly hair and shrinkage is annoying. My hair is bra strap length but when curly it is on my neck. 😣 I'm going to join this challenge and I'm excited!!!!
OMG ARE YOU DOMINICAN :3 !?!?!??! I´m Dominican and really love your videos

Holy crap you are GORGEOUS!!!!!!
Where has this girl been all my hair tutorial search life!
+SunkissAlba I only have castor oil, olive oil, argan oil, and grapeseed oil. Should I still mix these together for hair growth?
Yes!!!! Very good oils. Look up all the benefits of each, you'll be surprised
***** thank you
no need for jojoba oilit doesn't penetrate the hair so how can it make it stronger?
robinsss It's good for the scalp and hair growth
Thank you so much for your helpful videos!
I tried some of anti-hair loss drug and herbal approaches - but they are totally wasted time and money . All of them include chemicals. My friend was using argan life and she recommended me and I trusted her. I bought this product on eBay. Now, I am really satisfied with this product. Thank you my friend for suggestion and thank you so much argan life
+Miller Browna I am surprised. Argan Life is so much prevailing .
+Camella Alidera This company is really reliable. Because When I asked the ingredients, Argan Life company directly sent to me.
You are the ALL MIGHTY curly hair goals!
Oil is so expensive tho! :(
Search online. There are some affordable places to purchase oil. Just gotta search!
iHerb is pretty inexpensive, I bought all my oils there.
Honestly its a lot less expensive than all the hair products from the salon or drugstore..
Try vitacost.com
***** what is the benefit of argan oil? every hair product i've ever used that had argan oil had a really strong smell that I did not like so I was wondering if it was necessary.
So happy you made this video. I started using a mixture of organic oils before washing my hair to see how it works out for hair growth. I get the same questions. As you always say Patience is key! Def taking this challenge on with you girl! :)
If you can afford all those oils just use a few , cuz trust me you don't need all of those to grow long healthy hair :)
Can't * afford to buy
***** Right) I'm using Burdock oil only for my thin slavic hair. Coconut oil doesn't work for me.
***** That bottle of DIY oil is likely to last her a year. It's completely worth the investment.
Shaune Arnold so could one bottle of olive oil
Correct, but different oils act very differently in my hair and on my scalp. I use olive oil alone, and coconut oil alone in my hair, but my scalp REALLY loves the mixture. My hair grows faster, feels softer, and retains moisture better. As I said, it's well worth the investment for ME. You may feel differently for YOU.
Hi, i've been on this natural hair journey since April. However, I starting using the oil mixture after you started the hair growth challenge. My hair has grown an inch. Not bad! I'm excited to see how much it will grow by December.
Lmaooo Manny was so extra.
My hair use to be really short from damaged from all the dyeing and perming. it took me 4 months to grow to neck base length. Do you want to know how I did it. Well i put it up in braids,no heat or any type of oils. People think oils help but thats only for a few. Our hair is naturally oily so no need for the extra stuff.
oh how I love you,
im definitely doing #AlbasLongHairChallenge :)
Queen
Leah Allyannah Did it work?
I like how your channel has a healthy theme to it! It's so original and helpful! :) xxx
girl with all these oils it'll take approximately 4 washes to pull out the oils... that's too much for a treatment..plus essential oils are ment to be used in smaller amounts because they are too strong!
That's why she uses Dr. Bonner's, it will remove oils with ease.
Glinda Ofoz hey can you tell me what the Dr. Bronners product is called? The one that can get oil out?
Serena Walia any soap from dr.bonners they have different secents
Thank you for sharing this . I've had a huge set back with my hair breaking in the middle so I will be joining you ! Let's go !
My husband always said before half of his salary goes to my hair lol...I know he is just kidding but almost the truth.
Can't wait to start this journey with you beautiful! I started my natural journey last year and ready for this healthy long hair journey :D
sou brasileira e acompanho seus vídeos á um bom tempo, nem entendo oque você fala, mas te acho linda, uma inspiração :) criei meu cana a pouco tempo queria muito que você desse uma olhada
So excited to try this. I just started documenting my hair journey on my channel including my top hair products (many are shea moisture). I just got my devacut and lost some length (I will review that shortly) but in the meantime, I hope that your tips will help me grow my hair long again as well as healthy!
#AlbasLongHairChallenge
Omg all those oils! If this conjunction doesn't work, I don't know what will, lol. Love youuuu Alba!!!
I believe non-kinky hair isn't that difficult to grow.
I have pin straight baby fine hair and you'd be surprised, everyone's body is different but my hair growth rate is as slow as my sister in law who's African American and I don't do any heat or coloring (neither does she)
I belive hair grows at the same rate. curly hair is probably the most difficult to retain length if you don't take care of it properly
bc33swiby that truth
Thank you so much SunKissAlba for all the great and valuable information you always give to your subscribers. I love your videos but most of all I love your genuine beautiful spirit! Wishing you All the Blessings!

Thank you sooo much for this video, just what I needed! Your hair looks flawless and super long..cant wait to share the journey with you!
I'm starting late... but my mom and I are going to try to do this for a year :)
I just got all of my heat damage cut off last week and ready to start my healthy hair journey!
Your hair is the most gorgeous hair I've seen! Thanks for the tips!
Alba, I have to create those treatments! Thank you for the great tips & fantastic video as usual.
I am definitely going to take this challenge! Once I buy the products i'll be good to go. I say in two weeks I'll be good to go!
I'm soooo excited Alba!!! I'm on this journey with you as a girl who misses that booty length hair!
My hair grow about 3 inches in one month:0
Btw i love your videos i am always so excited to watch your new ones :) Lots of love to you :-*
I'm going to try this! Just did my big chop, so I'm excited to see where I'll be in 6months!
this was really good Alba. I cant wait to try out the mixture for my skin ailments especially!!
excellent tutorial ! great information on hair oils and body oils. I"m just going to try all of them. thank you for sharing
