Technically, the human eye can see at most 59.98fps. Thats with amazing eye sight tho. So games should limit the fp2 to 59.98fps

Honestly for resolution I am okay with 720P,
Most important change is the 30 FPS → 60 FPS change to me.
720p looks fine on most things, but it looks like shit on a 4K monitor. I mean, it's the same as a 360p video on a 1080p monitor.
TheBcoolGuy because it needs to be in an interval of the resolution, half, quarter but 2560 is not divisible by 720 so it looks bad. 1280 looks better because it is divisible and same goes for 720 on 1440p

I started watching video's on TH-cam back in late 06/early 07, so I kind of still like watching video's in shitty 240p/360p quality. It's just what I'm used to.

I haven't kept up with consoles to much mainly just the hardware side which is about three articles since the 1 and ps4 were released.
Wasn't aware they started allowing devs to start using above 30fps.
I'd say giving the hardware the game would lose quite a few fps in multiplayer compared to canpaign mode.
BF1 given the game engine should run well on current consoles better than most PC user are to get anyway.

He didn't mention that they (TH-cam) reduced the bitrate. His video was about how TH-cam compression works, and why snow or confetti decrease the quality of the video, and why that happens is because of the codec trying to read and intelligently compress large amounts of information on the screen per frame fast and not being able to keep up.

I wish there was an option to watch in 720p and 1080p without 60fps, even if the video supports 60.
My laptop does just fine at 1080p 30fps but with 720p 60fps it doesn't work.
So usually I don't watch 60fps videos at all.

I didn't realy "experienced" the switch to 1080p when it was released, because i lived in my parents house in a small village where internet bandwidth was horrible, i had to watch 480p, but sometimes i loved to watch "blender water simulations" in full HD and i let them preload everytime. It took me like 1 or 2 days to upload a decent 30min 720p video. Now i moved because of studying to a town and can even watch 4k videos without preloading with my 50mbit. It is fucking awsome. I "only" have a 1080p monitor, but still the quality improvment with 4k is unbelievable and it takes my like 5 or 10 minutes to upload a good 30min 1080p60 video.
I fucking love the future... cant wait for 1gbit connections being accessible to everyone.

I kinda wish you could select 1080p and 60fps individually. Because maybe some people's computers/internet can handle resolution and not fps. As a matter of fact, for a while, my computer had a bug where the browser would lag and stutter while playing 60 fps video, so I had to download a chrome plugin to cap the framerate.
Agreed. The algorithm they use is incredibly efficient. They would need to keep an entire second copy of the video for 30FPS. There's a wright up of it online somewhere....
