At least it's actually relevant to the video, not like many others (Videoblocks is a prime example). Also it's not something overkill and anyone wanting to get into PC gaming without thinking about components can actually like this sponsorship (like myself).

Just upload the video as a private video. Let the automated system flag it, and then file your appeal. Once the appeal is successful, you can make it live. The 1000 views in the last 7 days rule only applies to videos that existed before the automated demonetizng thingy was born

You only have to watch the video to know that it's much more than an ad. He took the opportunity of a sponsorship and turned it into a video that's interesting and enjoyable in its own right, while thanking Dell for making it all possible. I don't see what's wrong with sponsorships if they're done well, or what irrational view youtube comment section seems to have against them

Completely forgot about the existence of Crysis 3. Did it even have marketing material? I remember the main sell in the marketing material was the character with a crossbow which to me wasn't exactly the most exciting thing. The poor reception of Crysis 2 probably killed the games PC audience.

This is how you're meant to do ads. I'm not going to lie and say it feels exactly like your old videos - because it definitely doesn't - but once you get past the main ad at the beginning you get into the flow of the video and it feels normal again. It's a small price to pay for letting you, well, eat.
Except, the advertisement is relevant to the content of the entire video. It flows well with the topics Phillip spoked about and hardly detracted from the experience of watching the video.

If he would've left the display on and then grabbed his camera to film the close-up, you would be able to see the cut because something might've changed on the display. By turning the display off, it looks like everything is in one fluid motion.

Yes I noticed this as well. It's so interesting to see how the mind of a TH-cam content-creator works sometimes. My theory is that when watching the footage, he wanted to use the "huh, more film!" clips as some sort of reward and relaxation after information-heavy clips and thus had to come up with a solution for the situation you linked.
People always mock TH-camrs for having such an easy job, but in reality, there's quite a lot to be learned if you want to be a good TH-camr.

Great approach to a sponsored video, no lying or exaggerating, made it very clear that it was sponsored and you actually had some educational stuff to say. There are a few TH-camrs I could name who don't do this. I'm not saying who but I bet the replies will.
Well, I mean, the way he talked about the pc was exaggerated, the gtx 1060 is an entry card so it won't be as good as he made it out to be. Also, you pay a whole lot more for this pc rather than building a better one for the same price
I'm not rewatching the whole video but did he really big up the GTX 1060? He mentioned the Ryzen processor being good which it is and the SSD being fast which it is. Sure you could build a PC for a far less but everyone already knows this and he hasn't said otherwise.

canadiangamer the GTX 1060 really does handle anything you throw at it. We came to a point in time where the graphics cards are way overpowered for the target visual fidelity in games and fluid performance balance. Unless you're running a triple monitor setup each at 4K and expect to get solid 60fps performance. Performance must be judged for base 1080p single monitor setups, not for the 2% of hardcore enthusiasts with their VR headsets and gaming battlestations.

I do like the way you did the advertising in this video. Yes, it was REALLY in your face, but you still fit it naturally in the video. I obviously wouldn't mind if you did more things like this if it meant a better standard of living, no matter how small or large, for a guy who makes a ton of free content.
