My review of Faraway which is a tableau building game where you score everything in the reverse order you played it! It’s published by Pandasaurus Games. In this video I show you how to play Faraway as you get an overview of the gameplay and learn the rules.

I agree that the scoring process is the hook of the game, but playing out your cards with that scoring in mind is what makes this a fantastic puzzle to figure out! Great video, as always!

I tried thia for the first time at Essen and ended up getting a copy right away. Such a great game. Works really well on Board Game Arena too! Great review!

This one seems like I could enjoy it, even though I don't like too much luck in my games. I would like, and need, to try it for several times to decide if it's for me.
Thanks for the great teach and review!

Luck of the draw - even if the cards you want don't come out, is there not enough scope to hate draft your opponents at lower player counts?
Would it be better to house rule the open draft card choice to '2 cards per player +1'?

Maybe/probably great idea! Might be very useful and improve the experience at lower player counts and make it more fun and satisfying.
I love houseruling games according to my own/my group's playstyle taste.

Over the years...playing more and more games...ive learned that most of the time the hypes for games disappoint at the end of the day. It usually ends up being a good or an ok game and thats it. People saying this game is good and all that...could be just people saying it but not really thinking about what they are saying on a deeper level. Like is it really that good? Yes it would probably be that good but only if one has never played the other 50 similar games out there. As it stands..with the hobby growing and games coming out like iphones..many games these days just end up being good or ok despite the hype. Ive stopped backing ks campaigns as often just because of these reasons.

i would say scout and sea salt and paper have lived up to the hype for me

I have been finding a large amount of hypocrisy with reviewers docking the score on the game because of the luck of the draw, even though it has only 20 min playing time, love Ark Nova with all of their heart even though the luck of the draw is much worse in that one imo, and it lasts for 3 hours so the 20 minute excuse is irrelevant
