  • We want our newly elected MPs to not only give us a voice in parliament but our wildlife too. That is why we have written to all of Kent’s MPs and invited them to meet with us so we can discuss how together we can create a #WilderKent and put nature at the heart of the decision-making process.
Last week, we met Polly Billington, MP for East Thanet where we discussed our concerns around National Grid’s Sea Link Project. This week we headed to the Gillingham and Rainham constituency to meet Naushabah Khan MP at our Darland Banks reserve to talk about how Labour’s commitment to growth can work alongside the pledges they have made to protecting the environment.
We are hugely encouraged that, despite their busy schedules, many of our elected representatives are keen to meet with us and learn more about why nature recovery must be a priority. By being part of the conversation, we can fight the climate and biodiversity crises to build a better future, a better economy, happier, healthier communities AND enhance our natural world.

When MP's gives this kind of time and attention to wildlife, it's incredibly heartening (and quite the contrast to the previous, horrible Tories). Well done Labour.
