buddy, i am also a new rider learning all types of skills, your figure of 8 looks good, but the whole idea behind emergency braking is to not engage the ABS and to exercise progressive pressure of the brake lever. In my practice i consider that every time the ABS engages I failed the exercise. If not exercised correctly the first time you will get on a bike without ABS the front wheel will lock and you will drop the bike. Watch some videos from MotoJitsu or Moto Control about the subject. Working point of mine, this is at a bit higher speed (50kph / 30mph) and stopping within 30 feet is hard to even start braking only at the first cones
