Thank you for demonstrating these bass chords. I've definitely heard bass players adding chord stuff to tracks. I would to see you break down the bass part on Daniel Lanois 'the maker'. I think its two bass parts playing a harmony.

This is useful. The thing I keep in mind is that if you are using such high notes to form the chord then you can easily end up playing the same notes as a guitarist. So it can lead to redundancy or muddiness when they overlap. It sounds good solo, but isn’t always that useful in a full band.
