How do you know how much villager should be in food/wood/gold?

Early game is usually set in stone (7 in food, then 3 in gold, then more on food, then wood, etc), you can check the exact numbers for every civ in the videos.
Later in the game is a more intuitive thing. Depends on the civ, the composition you're going for, how soon/late you want to farm transition... There's no absolute answer.
A good trick is to always keep the TC rally point in woodlines, that way if at any point you float any resource it will be wood, which can always be immediately used in extra production and farms.

@@LucifroN7 I was worried that my question was too general to be answered. But that was very helpful!

@@LucifroN7 I'm watching every single video you make!
If English/Abbasid attack with spearman/archer, what is best response from French?
Should I go 2tc after 1 knight? Or should I make archers?

why did you go horsemen instead of knights?

I didn’t even know French had horsemen

Both options are valid for early/mid feudal. I usually prefer horsemen because they do not cost gold, so I can have more villagers in wood/food which I usually upgrade. I also think horsemen/archer is a bit better against spearmen/longbow than knight/archer is, but knights have the bonus of putting much more pressure in the opponent's villagers.

overall its wonderful you are trying to build this guide series. but in terms of guidance, there isnt much reasoning or explanation why you do one thing over the other or why you do something in the first place. its not really a guide. pls talk more, and explain more what and why you do things.
right now its more of a list of games for each matchup. but not too helpful as a guide as it is missing explanations :/
