Hi Stewart. It's a hard matchup right now. Try to secure both of your deer packs, either by going 2TC or by having a knight/spear army that can deal with the warrior scouts. Sometimes depending on spawn a small wall can be very useful. Will be uploading the rus vs malian video by the first week of june
Great point about the small wall, I generally never build any walls early but I see how it could zone them nicely. I tend to build Golden gate a lot, would you think Kremlin better in this matchup? I'm a mid Conq player and tend to have an aggressive playstyle so i'll try the 2TC approach more in this match up. I've tried opening Knights with no luck and feel like if I go straight into spears after ageing up i'll just get owned by the scouts and an archery range. Is that not the case? You can play very defensively with jav throwers and then transition to castle age, musofadi/jav thrower should deal with maa/spear/longbow. If the came goes on for long enough you should transition into sofa/archer/musofadi
