I personally like when you combine fishing with your canoeing adventures. I really don't find the videos boring and I hope there will be more elements of fishing. Cheers!
Love your photography of camp and seeing the river at that level! Hope to see more outings. We differ on how to camp though. Aluminum pegs weigh less than your saw, even if you take extra-long ones expecting to camp on sand. I'd do without a hatchet since sticks come in all sizes, no need to split. Burn one end of long logs and keep pushing into the fire. Take a lighter (or 2) Cheaper than the ferro rod. I know weight is not much of an issue when overnighting in a canoe, but I just camp the same if bikepacking or kayaking. Peace.
Hi Gary, thanks for the great feedback. Totally agree regarding the saw and axe option, I wanted to go back to how I camped as a kid to see how it would work. Great fun, but not always the most practical. Thanks for watching. Regards Paul
I’ve literally been checking every night hoping you’ve posted a new video since it’s been a bit. Always love your content man….Appreciate the work and effort you put into giving us yet another great (and longer) video!
Enjoyed watching your little adventure. Thanks for sharing it with us. Not sure how you managed to find a few hours without rain..lol. Ever since they announced an El Nino dry weather event for this year, it has not stopped raining.😂😂😅. I'm close to the Mary and have gone in at Tiaro and paddled upstream, at least l know that I can get back to my vehicle. Sounds like you'll produce some good content this year. 😊
I have just found you channel and am enjoying your vids very much, thank you. Connondale to Kennelworth is also a sensational paddle when the river is about 80cm at Kennelworth. There are also lots of lungfish and platypuses along this stretch.
Happy New Year Paul. Good to see you out and about again. I agree with you about rivers. Their solitude is special. The only problem is, that unlike lakes you can’t go in circles so you need an in point and an out point unless you paddle upstream and then back which kind of spoils it a bit.otherwise perfect and you get to see so much wildlife which is a bonus. I had to look for your “merch” but found it in the finish. To have merch must surely mean you are becoming famous.😂 PS. I like the new format but don’t abandon the fishing. It’s always good to see something being caught. Cheers Ken
Happy New Year Ken, just starting on the Merch, so no not famous yet! Thanks for the feedback on the new format. I will be hunting Trout on my next trip, so the fishing will stay, just less focus. Cheers Paul
Gotta love what I call toggle technology when setting up camp . I am looking forward to checking out the rivers you explore . I might even get on some of them myself in the kayaks . All the best for 2024

Another great video. I can't wait see how much your channel grows this year.
Thanks Rick, I appreciate it.

Nice spot to camp. Are all the insects sounds cicadas?
Yes the are, seriously loud but luckily not all the time. Thanks for watching.
