Great little movie - thanks for taking me with you …. So refreshing to see my back yard rather than uk in the rain - worlds apart . Look forward to your next adventure in SE Queensland 😊
Enjoyed your video! Sure looked like a rough slog going through the rocks. I'm glad I'm not the one who brings along fishing gear and can't catch anything. Great first video!
Great video! I loved the bush tucker scene haha bit of comedy in there but not laughing at you laughing with you! Been wanting to do an overnight hike myself but way too scared going solo. Good work! 🫡
Great video mate , a lot of work and thought goes into a production like that . Thankyou. I'd say the fish jumping would be mullet.try a Bit of bread small hook . Keep up the good work, i hope to see more. I enjoy this style
I'm Brisbane based so it's great seeing a local on here. I'll be adding you into my camping/hiking youtube rotation! :D We asked QldParks about wild camping once and we got a very round about answer haha. I haven't checked the rules on State Forests though, I assume they're the same. At the end of the day, maybe you just cop a fine here or there? Or maybe you've just popped over the border and it's all good or your on private property. I hope it works out for you because it'll be great to follow along. We'd love to avoid the booked campsites! Looking forward to more adventures, cheers! We always bring our chairs for overnight hikes, totally worth the weight.
@@Beyondthebackyard-au I just remembered what NP this is, silly me! If it is the place I’m thinking of. I wish more of them allowed it but also understand why they have designated areas.
@@kimberleybruce39 it’s sad that people can’t follow a leave no trace method to camping. And be sensible with camp fires. If everyone did the right thing there would be no reason to have to restrict it. I have often thought there should be permission to those with the knowledge to be careful to wild camp the way life was meant to be.
Cheers mate, definitely not a peanut, great stuff and good luck. On a similar journey myself and great to see others getting into it too. Subscribed and will keep an eye out for your next upload. ✌🏻
The great first video, mate. Show more of the tools you use (cooking, sleeping etc.). Describe conditions. Say more about how you approached the places and what you have done. May be you route on the map. It would be good to know what maps and GPS you were using. We are from Brisbane, would be good to know from the local. Cheers :)
Hey mate, I really enjoyed your video, I’m also in SEQ, wondering what area you are in? Keen to get the kayak out for a couple nights trip in similar country!
Hey mate, awesome to see your first video! Keen to see what comes next! Those fish you saw and heard jumping would've been carp. That river, along with most of our inland rivers are totally buggered from em. The bloody things are everywhere. Pushed out most of our native fish. It's pretty heart breaking honestly. Best of luck with the videos and can't wait to see future uploads!
Interesting, I did think it might be due to their shape. Thanks heaps for the insight - would have been good to catch a few to remove them from the system!
@@janeburns3088 I wish that was the case, but unfortunately they are spread all throughout the waterways of SEQ. Particularly in the creeks south of the Brisbane River.
Watching you for the first time, I’m also in SEQ, sunny coast. Nice vid mate and yep as said above Scotty’s got some competition!! Could show you around some sunny coast spots if you’re up here. Have subscribed
@@danboutdoors There’s heaps of bush camping you just can’t reveal where you are on camera. I do regularly, do the right thing and take out your rubbish etc. you can even film it just don’t give away the location along the journey. The sunny coast looks identical to the rainforest in the scenic rim 😉.
I could get used to this.great vid with warm weather and peace and quiet.Being in Scotland we don't get much warm weather but we do have great camping laws(anywhere you find a spot).I Just subbed, you got me to sign up.buckle up everybody,I think this could be a great wee journey.
Some great shots in the video. I checked out your channel and found my way to your Insta account. Not surprising at all to see the photography skills on there after seeing this vid. Best of luck with it 🤙🏻
Great stuff mate! Just moved to far North NSW and looking into whats around to get away from the crowded beach side.. appreciate the video the area looks awesome!

Hey man nice video. I’m from the U.K. just moved to Queensland and looking to get out and take my pommie bushcraft skills to the wild over here! 😅 trying to find some cool spots to get out and wild camp. Only thing I’d advise is you mentioned about your feet, the cactus and rolling your ankles, grab some mid top walking boots man. Your feet will thank you!
Great video especially for your first one. I normally watch Scotty’s gone walkabout on a Sunday morning to chill out with a hiking video. I need to add you to the list. Just subscribed. Cheers!
Ok I'm hooked line and sinkered, great video mate. So need to ask, can we have a gear load out video, what do you use, what works in the bush, what's your upgrade list. Please don't deny a man a chance to critique or envy, it's how a lot of base our upgrades on. Keep walking mate.
Nice video for your first time mate, not easy talking in front of a camera that's for sure. I'd assume this is on private property but if not let me bloody know as I'm in Brissy 😂

Congrats on your first show. It's good & we all have to start somewhere & the location is a great start to introduction to the bush. Just use what's available & affordable. You don't have to explain yourself, we in the outdoors community don't judge mate. Be adventurous & enjoy mother nature. You do you.!! May we suggest wood saw to cut & harvest fire wood. Less energy usage is advise when in the bush alone. Great scenery, whereabouts in S.Queensland? With that turbo stove you might want to dig a little hole to stabilise it or even put some rocks around it so it doesn't topple. Safety is number one rule when camping alone. That foldable chair is a great comfort item. How much does it weigh? Do you carry a bushcraft knife or multitool?. How heavy is your backpack fully loaded? Great first vid mate. Again congrats, got yourself a new sub from Christmas Island. Stay safe mate.

If it's where I think it is they do allow wild camping and the collecting of firewood there. Only one in QLD to my knowledge.
