this band deserves more recognizement
I am being completely honest. This is my first time listening to this band.
I am going to say the truth:
Holy shit. This band has an AMAZING singer, the riffs are catchy and awe-inspiring, and the structure of this song is pure perfection.
It's good to know real music still exists and that there is an alternative to the prevalent shit that plays on the radio. Long live Lyriel.
Anyone who is even remotely familiar with the traditional music of Great Britain & Ireland & Northern Europe should be able to hear the strong folk influence in this music immediately. And anyway, Lyriel are listed as a Folk Metal band on wikipedia :)

That voice..... Holy shit... I love Ethereal tones, and this is hauntingly beautiful in both music and extremely so in the vocals, this is incredible.

I have listened lyriel and especially this song a lot and now I see it first time with the music video and I got to say that it sounds way more magical and better without the video actually ;P
Metal is not popular here in Europe neither, it doesn´t mean it has disappeared. I've heard many american metal bands now and they are nice. Rock lives forever :)

Not bad, the voice is good for the genre their playing, doesn't need any power. Folk is kinda popular nowadays and I think I understand why just by listening to this band. Amazing choreography, amazing vocals, great use of orchestral instruments and also at times it sounds pretty heavy. Definitely an album that is worth listening and probably one of the best this genre gave these past years.
I love it. The singer really moves well, great song.
Rock and metal will never disappear nor diminish It's been going strong and getting stronger for 50 years. It may have gone more underground and may get less time on the radio, but Rock and Metal will NEVER die. This pop bullshit will die off soon enough.

yeah, sometimes it's suprising that bands you follow since their demo-album like lyriel or dalriada are now popular..^^ but i do not begrudge them (sorry if something is spoken wrong, not good at english^^)
In my country ''America''. Rock and metal is disappearing.Being replaced by hip hop/rap trash.Its very refreshing to know that Europe is keeping it alive and doing a great job at that.

That's what I meant with popular. Metal is not shown in the big media, at least in my country. I've heard that in northern countries metal is having great days, while we are invaded by latin-techno shit, but the radio still plays pop as you say.

Don't put your country down dude. Despite all fuck ups, it's still the USA who brought and still bring us many, many great acts. Think Tool, think NIN, think about all those young metal acts that are so promising. I don't think the proportions id productions have changed, but preferences in audiences may have.

Its just different and new and deserve applaud for ambition and the music its self and singing is great just cuz its not deth metal. Doesn't mean its not metal or rock! I'd say this depends on where you're from and what you've been taught at school. There are several ways of dividing the continents. For me North and South America are 2 continents as well but when you take the 5 olympic rings for example you only have 5 continents: America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia.

@dedicaceouto On that note, I don't think she's trained, she's a natural. And it's lovely hear a contralto in this genre of music, you generally get sopranos, I have nothing against that (my favourite female singer being Simone Simons of Epica), it's just good to hear something different.

What a talented bunch! But this music makes a lot more impact without visual video IMHO ... The images one can draw in their head to this are always a lot better.
I love this song, but in some places some brutality would be preferable, something hard. This song is soft , I was expecting some sudden change along the way. On the other hand thumbs up for the musicians! You're cool guys!
