It's funny, these guys really look nothing like a metal band. If I saw them in the street all together, I'd think to myself it's a group of office coworkers or something. All the better, though. Proves you don't have to be some kind of poser to pump out good music and meet a bit of success.

This band is full of talent. I really love the singer, and the band is rock solid. I like the Violin also. I am learning to play the Violin, and this band is a great example of how you can use it with any kind of music.

If you check out the band's homepage you can listen to short excerpts showing all of the new songs. Some of them seem very promising and they do include folk music elements too, although there is really a bit of change in the band's style. This isn't the best song from the album I think, but it's not a bad song, and at least finally it seems that Lyriel is beginning to receive the professional attention it should have deserved long ago. And more music videos please, it's so good to see them.

The best singer I have ever heard is Sarah Brightman, her range is amazing, and think what you want about the music she sings, but Celine Dion's voice is unreal, I have seen her live aswell, and it's perfect quite frankly

I was only generalizing; sure you could include more "genres". Songs can be written in musical notation. Atonal or nonmelodic sounds can be used as a form of sonic art, yes. There is a big difference between the art form of the song, and of soundscape, that's all I was illustrating. Industrial noise is industrial noise and you might like it a lot (I like some of it too), but that doesn't make it a "song". Also, I don't listen to any "chart-hit" music, at all.

Forc example Maria Calls is called the best Opera singer of all time with flawless technique and everything, but I still don't like her voice that much. What happened to the Folk????? :( Sounds like generic female fronted poppy metal. I mean it's not bad. But Lyriel was GREAT.
This very simple statement seems like you have not heard of lot of "non-chart-hit" music genres in your life ... not all songs without melody are Rap ... what about Noise, Industrial, Ritual, Experimental Jazz and other stuff ???? No melodies, but far far away from mainstream entertainment.

This is not a bad song, and really hope the album is better, because Lyriel made awesome music, it was light but it had a very heavy sound and it had some folk elements that were their own style. I'd hate to see all gone through the window because it's not "commercial" enough. This band needs more promotion, that's all. His songs were amazing. Let's see how the new album sounds.

Great song. But from my point of view... could it be, that the cello playing lady has a stronger voice than the vocalist? Just my cent of thinking. Nevertheless, Lyriel is one of the best bands in this world.

So I believe there's no point in calling something "crap", when nobody really has the authority to say such a thing about anyone. She is actually a really kind and loving human being, you can see that in every interview and in most of her songs. Especially when you hear/see a concert of her and her interaction with her fans. Lady Gaga has actually an awesome voice, if you listen to her acoustic versions of for example Edge Of Glory or her collaboration with Tony Bennett on the song The Lady Is A Tramp :) Just because you don't like her music style doesn't mean she can't sing :)
Vocal has really really beautiful voice, this beauty specially appears when chrous. But she has to work on gesture and facial expression.

Sarah Brightman is my favourite singer of all time :) But right after that, I love Metal singers the most, like Simone Simons, Sharon Den Adel, Liv Kristine, Tarja Turunen and Anette Olzon

@FutileGrief Speak after releasing new album. This is second song we can hear. I love both of them and I'd love them if they were more 'folkish'. Maybe there will be some in folk convention and some metal. We'll hear soon :)
