I remeber when i got to track 4 on my first listen to X and Y. By the end of the week every member in our band had picked this song to be our first cover off the new album!!! (Each of their own accord)
Sad thing that most of the people there were on their phones. There are literally people paid to record the performance for videos like these, so why not just enjoy the moment while your there? The true enjoyment with music is finding and connecting with it in the moment, not recording it from behind a screen to post about it. Sad world we live in.
After being in the music industry for so many years Chris is still an amazing gentleman. We love to see him step back so Ed can have the spotlight! He’s not cocky or a loud mouth at all he’s a true roll model and such a sweetheart to his fellow celebrities and treats them with the upmost respect :)
Seriously. Everyone loved and still loves these older Coldplay songs. The somewhat depressing yet real ones. The slow ones. The unique ones. Their first two albums gave me chills. The songs from them are still my favorites. WHY can't they come out with an album like those again? I get that maybe they don't feel or write like that anymore but damn. If there's ever a time when we need songs like Fix You and Clocks and In my Place, it's now! Everything is so poppy and mainstream now :( This performance however, is gold.

Same here! Been a fan for a long time. Became an even bigger fan after buying the songbooks for x&y, a rush of blood to the head and parachutes. I was so excited when I got them in the mail. Immediately went to my piano and WOW. I gained a whole new respect for Chris. I had been playing piano for about 6 years at that point, thought I'd be able to play en but nope. I didn't anticipate the level of difficulty I ran into. Mega technical stuff. Those 3 books have collected dust since then. Sitting next to my Pearl Harbor score, Leonard Cohen, Hallelujah, Led Zeppelin 4, and Land Before Time If We Hold on Together sheet music. 🎶🎹🎵🎼

I've listened to this song several times today. I'm currently being taken off of a benzo- lorazapam. I've taken it for 25 years. It started off bumpy, but I was positive it would be ok.. I'm struggling with all the feelings coming at me that I numbed with lorazapam for years. Thank you for a safe place to go when I feel overwhelmed and unable. Someone commented it was "spiritual" at that moment, I didn't have the word to describe it, but the genuine love and hope in this song is spiritual.

But it is the love you felt from and for that person as he or she was still a major part of your life.
