There're few vehicles like forester which is logging special, kolobs for heavy trailers, etc but these are also overshadowed by DLC trucks like Kenworth which can do logging better than forester and has more clearance for heavy trailers than kolobs.
@@SD1ONE Yeah. SR's made the mistake of putting too much effort in quantity over quality. Sure, there's differences in the trucks, and the differences are clear (like, say, comparing the GMC to the Step 310) but it still feels off. That said, I do like the large variety of trucks. I think it's the addons being the same for all that's bugging me the most. I get it takes resources to make and use, but still.
It might not take that much resources if the base addons themselves are strong, I mean if you make a good addon and copy to a bunch of suitable trucks instead of copying it to all trucks...the kung/repair addon is best example...addon itself is alright but it look stupid on some trucks...so instead of copying it to all trucks make it available on trucks which have military background... that's how ST and MR did it... they did re-use some addons but only where it make sense
Reason why truck in MR and SR are different, is mainly license. In ST it was somewhat to tolerated, but then there were problems between publisher and dev and since then all has changed. Kirovets tractors in SR are license based but thats all. Sometimes that licenses are pain in butt to work with
ST vehicles were not licenced, nor did the MR but they still look nice...SR vehicles just look generic also the addons are not part of licence so there's no excuse for that.
@@SD1ONE Yep thats true. But in ST, they even had real markings. Trucks in SR are not so detailed in some areas but I think other aspects of the game make for it.
yes but It's supposed to be an upgrade right then why it feels like downgrade specially when it has more budget and sold many more copies than ST and MR combined.
Interesting comparison! The problem with addons is that, in my opinion, it's not possible to make a fair comparison, because in SpinTires and MudRunner there's only one type of cargo you move from A to B - logs. It's easier to make better suited addons when trucks are limited in purpose. In SnowRunner, trucks are supposed to move more varied types of cargo, therefore you have more addons, and as the same kind of assets are reused, the result is that they feel generic. One thing Saber could do to improve addons in SnowRunner is to make an effort and create addons that better fit specific types of trucks, like bigger fuel tanks with bigger trucks, or van body addons that harmonise better with the shape of the truck. They *have* done something in this direction (the Step Pike and the Tatras have custom sideboard beds, for example; longer trucks can have a 3-slot flatbed; etc.) but it's not enough. I enjoyed the video, keep up the good stuff! 🙂 Cheers! //Rick
Not entirely true...Logging and basic things like fuel and repair are same in Snowrunner, So those addons atleast could've been improved...I am not saying make different addons for different trucks (although they should because they ask more money now) but atleast make Russian and american addons different. The budget of SR and the money it make is way way higher than ST and MR combined...so It's only fair to ask such things.
@@SD1ONE I definitely agree about making different addons for Russian and American trucks. It’s something that has been bugging me since the beginning.
I just hate that they ruined the steering wheel force feedback with K700 in SR, when it was done correctly in MR... A vehicle with articulated steering like that isn't supposed to have any feel on the steering, since it's hydraulic and has no physical connection to a steering rack or anything. In MR it completely killed your FFB when you changed to the K700, in SR it rumbles the wheel like any other truck. I've even driven a JCB wheel loader with similar steering setup and it felt basically the same as MR K700 lol It's a little thing, but i just wish they fixed this for added realism... Also the K700 turning circle is horrible in SR for some reason, feels like it just slides around.
0:52, This looks more like a Jeep. 1:47, 1:50, B-6A's trailer. 2:59, not only ugly, but also weakened. SR's B-130 removed both chained wheel and diff-lock (or one of them I can't remember), make it totally useless. In SP, chained wheel and diff-lock, when loaded, it's not very bad. 4:18, SR exchanged Ural 4320 and Zil-131's front grill.

Discovered SR a few months ago and now halfway through Teymyr with the previous finished. Booted up MR and my god.. it feels so much better than SR. It's actually dissapointing going back to SR. Not sure why they dropped the feel of vehicles
Here's my take, ST and MR didn't have much things to do, only logging and a few challenges, that's why they could focus on making fhe trucks and addons more authentic. In Snowrunner, they shifted their focus on more maps, more cargo, trucks and of course, graphics
Not the right video to post this but hey. I wish they went back to the smaller quicker puzzle type scenarios. I rarely got a exciting satisfying moments from snowrunner. The game just orders you to drive boring roads from A to B multiple times with no challenges in the way. The game felt more like a job rather than a fun challenge. (exception of the quarry missions that was a fun puzzle to drag your self up from the bottom with cargo). We played the game with my friend with only the trucks the game gave us and we did not allow any recalling at all (unless there was a bug). The game really didn't really challenge us at all. The game simply did not throw any hard challenges in to our way. I was excited for the ice in alaska map but the game really didn't ask us to do anything with it. Sure it was fun to slide around but never did any real challenges with it. We use to playing mudrunner with only starter a map with truck (c-256) with maps from community and try to beat them on hardest difficulty and see what puzzles the mappers gave us. And the maps never dragged too long (with some exceptions). But when the map was done you would felt like you actually beat a hard challenge/puzzle rather than just game wasting our time. And the hard fun challenges where present in mudrunner base game. (American wilds where a disappointment for us). We completed all 3 maps 100% together in snowrunner and only got a bit of a sour taste in our mouths and we have not bothered with the DLC stuff. I just hope they go back to the scenario type challenges/puzzle type phasing with the next game. I know they wont but i can hope. I may have rose tinted glasses on but i really feel they missed the mark with snowrunner.
It won't work...for that to work they would have to redesign map, missions...almost everything because terrain in Snowrunner includes rocky sections, broken ice, etc which is over-exaggeration of reality and if they change physics then some missions would be impossible to complete.
Haven't played ST (would like to but eh) so I can't speak for that. However, comparing your most frequent criticism - tires and addons - between MR and SR I'd say they're tied, maybe even with a little SR advantage. While it's sad that addons are generic in SR, they are mostly generic in MR, too. However they do fit the trucks better, because they're all of similar style. But they mostly get the same addons, with some incompatibilites. At least SRs newer DLC trucks seem to get a bit more love. Tires however are fixed in MR, while SR gives you a choice. And that choice isn't just "install biggest Mudtire asap", because there's more to it than even the tire chart tells you. Unfortunately the info is not very accessible however, and you'll have to dig through community resources to make informed decisions - or test, of course. That all being said, my biggest gripe with SR is sound. MR had the same underlying issue, but the sound was still overall better and the issue less noticeable. Thanks for the love you give the games!
MR addons were reused but they not anywhere near the level of Snowrunner. MR has different addons for Russian and American trucks while SR is same for everything except very few trucks which are either season DLC or Paid DLC. MR almost never re-use addons as aggresively as SR...look at zikz 612H..most of it's addons doesn't even fit it properly...they're there just for sake of it while MR E-7310 has each addon crafted for its wide body....Regarding tires: At first it was a nice feature but every truck as almost same set of tire option avaialble which makes them drive and behave almost same, MR fixed tires atleast added variety and SR has changeble tires for limited trucks but those tires are mosty different for different trucks.
I repeat agan!!! Spintires and MudRunner and SnowRunner and Expeditions are 4 different games. I wish they were made in 4 separate games to this day!!!
basic concept and objective is same deliver goods by fighting terrain. Expedition might be different but who knows. The budget for SR is way higher than previous games, It's just sad to see how inferior some things are compared to older games.
@@vladvulcan Not evolution or upgrade. Spintires, MudRunner, SnowRunner games feel totaly different!! That is why i play all of them and I love them all. But the issue is that Mudrunner and Spintire are no longer updatet.
SR is about casual offroad driving simulator, almost arcade-ish, too easy, too generic, i don't like it except for the visual update and nothing else. ST & MR is kinda more in depth offroad simulator with some good soviet themes vehicles and more fun, harder but more fun in every aspect, but still manageable and enjoyable kinda hard. But good for the devs they reaching out more players and some new ideas on SR. Im still playing MR by the way and switch back to ST just for fun, tweaking and custom modding for my own taste I hope the kind of series like ST&MR would still available and even have some improvement. And no more developer drama.
Is there any way to buy the Cina and SHERP dlc for Spintires? I cant find a key and would love to do all of the Spintires Achievemnts. The only DLC i have is Cherno
How about releasing a big video where absolutely all the vehicles in the trilogy will appear? Or is it better to wait until the fourth game is released to release the vehicles of the entire quadralogy, but then the list will be incomplete, because the fourth game will also have DLC later. And do you think there will be more DLC for MudRunner?
I already covered all vehicles from previous games in my last video where I compare them to their real life counterparts. I'll make similar video for SR too for DLC vehicles, once year 3 concludes......regarding future of game: MR is dead, Spintires is dead and buried. SR is only hope but the way things are going it's not gonna last very long unless saber do some imrovements. their spin-off expeditions also don't look that impressive but let's wait for it to release.
@@SD1ONE Honestly I hope they're making expiditions to maybe get some better concepts of offroading that could be used for a final game (considering spin offs historically don't do nearly as good as an original) I also hope they'll take every popular request from the playerbase and also put it into a final game, so we have essentially, the ultimate and best iteration of offroad hauling from saber interactive. Probably too hopeful, but it would make for a banger of an end for the 'runner' offroad genre that is saber interactive
Honestly I think the reason snowrunner in some areas is so bad, is because it doesn't really have any compitition. Mudrunner was a direct competition between itself, and spintires. The reason it turned out "better" was because it was more popular, which essentially led to a monopoly by beating out spintires, and going on to create the only game of its class: snowrunner
Spintires was too much of a simulation for the mainstream customers. Sadly mainstream is where you make the money. This is why snowrunner was dumbed down in terms of physics and gameplay. Same happened to Crysis 2 and 3 after Crysis 1 had excellent physics and gameplay.
man, spintires got even worse fate because game is not only dead but buried too...there's almost no chance of it comming back now...it's been 3 years since it pulled out from steam.
It feels that way because terrain in SR is way more crazy than previous games...so most SR trucks on russian side are OP to compensate for that crazy terrain.
@@iplaybose thats why i said, MR got the basics right but theres way less content in MR than SR...overall when you see everything SR is better because of tons of newly added quality of life improvements
@@SD1ONE Only content wise imo Mudrunner still has way more than Snowrunner. If you like the base game then you can just keep playing it for hundreds and thousands of hours all thanks to community mods. Many which are devs-like in terms of quality or even higher, both maps and vehicles. There are even maps with totally new concepts like building broken bridges, winter ice breaking maps, rock crawling and offroad trials, races etc. And there are hundreds of vehicle mods to drive. One thing Snowrunner has is a proper progression system for those who's looking for a feel of sense of accomplishment
I wonder how much of the legal battle is behind a lot of the generic addons and odd proportions. Like tgey did it right the first time because the devs could but now if they didn't again the lawyers would have their hides.
I have to disagree on your quality vs quantity point. Yes, trucks in SnowRunner may be more generic and not drive as good/authentic as they did in MudRunner/SpinTires, but the models themselves are still well made. Especially the interior. Driving in first person in MudRunner, you know you're in a video game. In SnowRunner however, you have actual interiors and it's much more immersive. You feel like you're actually inside the trucks and driving them. But I do agree that MudRunner had better physics, it's just that for me, the better graphics are more important than worse physics. I never played SpinTires so I cannot comment on the physics and graphics of that game.
Interiors are one thing but not many people play in interior view, Not only physics but addons and proper propotions of vehicles were far better in ST and MR...the models actually lack details...best example is Zikz 612H which is a paid DLC in SR and even then it lacks those animated wheel shafts which were present in MR.

Add ons in st are "suitable" when there are no special add ons and in SN they're generic. Of course snowrunner makes cuts here and there but it still is the better game overall looking at the facts.
Of-course It's better game, It has bigger budget and make more money than ST and MR combined. Is it unfair to ask for suitable addons or atleast different addons for Russian and American trucks. It'll only make game better and if we accept mediocracy then mediocracy is all we're going to get.

Sad but yeah Snowrunner is just an overall downgrade but what to expect if they release 1 year exclusive on Epic where they get paid out full by epic games so why bother to make the game authentic if they already got their money....
Problem with Snowrunner is it's been too arcade and unrealistic,MAZ 535,537 and 7310 should only have a 3 gears transmission which in real life only goes around 60Km/h maximum speed .and in Snowrunner ,it somehow can have a 5-6 speed transmission which is not really needed since these truck are mainly focused on torque and off-road performance (these are missile trucks) ,they do not require high speed and their transmission is also unique ,and no.these trucks are not meant to driving with maximum rpm due to the old Soviet Union design,if u drive like that the engine will go overheating so speed is a no go in those torque monster . it's get even more ridiculous because they put some of these trucks into their Dakar game ,gaz 66 in real life is only 80km/h maximum speed......... it's nice to see a shit ass company runied original game

@@SD1ONE True, that's a good point.
I miss old sound of zil-130 in spintires 😢

Yep, thats right.
In SpinTires and Mudrunner you could still carry repairs, fuel or garage parts.
Well, this might be important!
Gaz 66 legendary 🔥🔥
I hate what they did to K-700 in SR, it was the ultimate scout in Mudrunner.
Good stuff! I ❤ these kind of videos!!
I've even driven a JCB wheel loader with similar steering setup and it felt basically the same as MR K700 lol
It's a little thing, but i just wish they fixed this for added realism...
MR, not SR did exchange grills. Kamaz 4310 and GAZ-66 also got grills from each other.

I found a weird thing in Mudrunner
The Thinner wheels have better performance in mud than wider wheels
Like shown in video
Stock Uaz is better than his brother uaz 3151 ( modified)
Same goes in Snowrunner. Thinner wheels are faster if the truck is not too heavy.
@@vladvulcan Actually, there's a sweet spot for weight where you cut through mud and hit underlying dirt. If you're below that, go wide. Otherwise OHDs it is

Discovered SR a few months ago and now halfway through Teymyr with the previous finished. Booted up MR and my god.. it feels so much better than SR. It's actually dissapointing going back to SR. Not sure why they dropped the feel of vehicles
the engine sound in snowrunner is absolute crap.
Is there any possible way of playing the 2014 version of spintires or is it just a memory now.
they need to make the driving gameplay and physics in SR more similar like in ST and MR with more different tires and rims for the vehicles
It won't work...for that to work they would have to redesign map, missions...almost everything because terrain in Snowrunner includes rocky sections, broken ice, etc which is over-exaggeration of reality and if they change physics then some missions would be impossible to complete.
@@SD1ONE at least they can easily add variable tyre pressure, for the player to choose and can add more tires without to be paid DLC
But here I think you used the “Adega” pack, no?

Hi,
di you now when the Season 11 comes out?
How did you played spintires 2014 version?
where did you geht the addon at 10:03? my truck doesnt have that multiaddon thing
its in the PTS for the next dlc
Yo how did you install spintired
Is there any way to buy the Cina and SHERP dlc for Spintires? I cant find a key and would love to do all of the Spintires Achievemnts. The only DLC i have is Cherno
cherno is best along with china...unfortunately there's no safe way to buy these keys or atleast not that I know of.
@@SD1ONE Honestly I hope they're making expiditions to maybe get some better concepts of offroading that could be used for a final game (considering spin offs historically don't do nearly as good as an original)
I also hope they'll take every popular request from the playerbase and also put it into a final game, so we have essentially, the ultimate and best iteration of offroad hauling from saber interactive.
@@SD1ONE Surprisingly this process happened without EA Games. Usually they are involved if a whole franchise is getting destroyed.
I Really Hate Addons in SnowRunner
its just like
Only this Addon can be place in Every Vehicle!
Imo the 7310 feels way weaker in SR than in ST and MR (performance wise)
It feels that way because terrain in SR is way more crazy than previous games...so most SR trucks on russian side are OP to compensate for that crazy terrain.
Ugly as well
But zil 130 and zil 133 have diff locks in spintires so they are not trash
sorry to say for the first time I don't expect the next update ! is no new truck !!
Honestly the no unique add ons and generic feel of Snowrunner vehicles are why I no longer buy DLC and haven’t for a while.
That's sad man...atleast paid trucks should've better addons...crocodile was good in that regard.
Is mudrunner better than snowrunner ?
In simple words NO because SR has more stuff but the basics are right in MR...It depends what you appritiate more.
@@SD1ONE i saw your comparison between sr and md, and sr is more arcadey where MD is more like the original ST, realistic and better
Where china dlc from spintires there we have 1 truck who is in sr substitute
Yes but I am only covering vehicles which are in all 3 games and that china DLC truck is not present in MR.
Russian cars❤
Snowrunner has downgraded most of the vehicles
It's because of licenses.
but ST and MR also has no licence except Sherp in ST and american vehicles in MR....also addons are not part of licence.
@@SD1ONE Well, it's just my opinion. I love good interiors. To be honest I have not used those trucks yet, but American trucks are pretty detailed
@@tcg1_qc yes american ones are good, sadly most of them has same tires and some addons look off but still overall they look and feel better than russian ones

I kind of dislike the snowrunner bashing. If it has awd now its no challange but when the offroad tires are gone for another truck its bad.
@@SD1ONE Different add-ons for American and Russian trucks would be so cool. If not completely different models, then at least use Russian texts on Russian trucks
Zikz Mastodon in Snowrunner has a 3-speed gearbox by default.
Stupid automatic transmission is terrible
snowrunner is a game at a child's level, cars drive on mud like formula 1. the difficulty level is a joke
