After djing one night, I went to a mini market for my cigarettes and there it was a magazine for theatre and movies, with this as an extra dvd. Sometimes you get so unexpectedly lucky. I was looking for this movie for almost... forever. Tony, Greece.
one of my bff's and I have been obsessed with this song for 2 months. This song is definitely one of the best ever, and to say amazing is an understatement🖤🖤
I didn't know that yet. But I think it's great. The introduction of a silent film from the twenties has a great effect. I like the twenties, the silent movies had much more expression, intensity, character
You guess right. It´s from 1983. I personally prefer this version instead of the cover by Welle:Erdball. It is more charming and much colder because of its clear and absolutely minimalistic synthies.
The big wild hair, skin right black pants, bondage sweater, corpse paint make up, those chiseled features. Tall, slender, strong, yet tormented. He only goes out at night. He is the perfect goth Adonis. In fact, he probably is the de facto origin of the gothic style...

Concerning labels, none of what we attach to these bands (whether as a descriptor or as a way to catagorize the style or sound of a music artist), even existed back then. The same fate of the label "cold wave" has suffered and as a result is now interchangeable with the label "dark wave". I am afraid many are also beginning to equate the label "minimal wave" with both of these labels. But, before all of these labels were fashioned by the nusic press, most of these music artists back then were all trying out new styles, and approaches all under the same umbrella as just simply as "punk" or "post-punk". That was all part of what made it all unexpectingly interesting. It wasn't until when the press, and then the listener began attaching labels to it, that the free form processes of the imagination gets constricted by preconceived notions and expectations.
I love how the lyrics are basically the storyline of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)
And you can't even complain about spoilers because the movie is literally one hundred years old.
@@a.n2488 And even so, the song lyrics still doesn't spoil a very significant part of the film.
Caligarissssss!!!
Dejavus

فلم رائع و جميل و مرعب في نفس الوقت و سابق لأوانه.
رغم مرور أكثر من مائة سنة على عرضه إلا أنه لا زال أحد أفضل أفلام الرعب في التاريخ
Agree!
From the day I first heard and seen this song I was entranced by it,it's one of a kind I love it!
Me despierto con esto cada mañana. TEMAZO
Interesting fact, Conrad Veidt's (Cesare) performance in another film was the direct inspiration for the Batman villain Joker.
Yeah, the Man who Laughs is the one! I’ve actually struggled to find it.
How fantastic, a great song about one of my favourite films- The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, love it!
I just fell in love with this band, sooo eldritch!!!
