Oh well, the old IP5389 IC. Those boards with that IC are notorious for not being able to reach 100w, especially without any heatsinks. They output around 90w max. Furthermore, the coulomb counter built into it needs to be input the initial capacity of the battery. The resistor R8 will determine that. I guess you used 4000mah cells, so you fall short of the default 10000 for a single string in a 2p configuration. That means your board will stop discharging when the display shows around 15%. You need to replace that resistor with a 10k if your batteries are 4000mah. Just divide the total capacity of a single string of batteries in mAh by 0.8 to get the required value of the resistor. I also recommend changing r20 to 27kohm, which will limit the power to 65W. It can't output 100w anyway and will keep resetting, possibly damaging itself or your equipment.

I know this seems like nonstop criticism but you really need to do the math on a 5S2P pack outputting or inputting (getting charged with) 100W. You're going to be really pushing the limits of safe charge rate if you charge those with a 100W charger. With a 2P pack you're probably ok on the discharging current so long as the cells are rated for 10A which in the real world means they won't get too hot at 6A or 7A. SInce you're only demanding 2.5A-3.5A per cell you should be ok but I'd be concerned about using one layer of series nickel plated steel. My rule of thumb is if the intended use is to draw more than a couple amps from each cell then it HAS to be pure nickel and 0.15x8mm is my thinnest material. That stuff is good for 7A to 15A depending on the charts you look at. I think 10A is a perfectly acceptable number and 0.20x8mm can handle 15A no problem....20A is pushing it. Double layering nickel isn't perfect but it does work in roughly halving the extra resistance you get between the cells from the connecting material. Nickel plated steel has been 1/4 the conductivity of pure nickel in every test I've done...and pure nickel is 1/4 of copper...1/16 or 6.25% the ampacity of a similar amount of copper is just scary to me. If you base the calculations just on pure nickel vs plated nickel then 0.15x8mm plated nickel is good for 2.5A per series connection. On its best day its good for 5A....

The capacity of a powerbank is given based on the capacity of the batteries, not the BMS. If not, I would put a power with a battery and a 1000 amp BMS, would it be real? absolutely not and by the way I am an engineer and your formula of 144 w is wrong

Which is equivalent to a 40,000mAh Power Bank!
      40Ah x 3.6V = 144Wh
      18V x 8Ah also is 144Wh😉

      @@ErCanEverything Unfortunitely not.
Your maths may be correct for 40Ah, but since one of your cells is only (4Ah=4000mAh) not 40Ah, you got your calculations wrong by x10.
      5x 4000mAh cells in series is equal 18v @4000mAh.
In series the voltage is cumulative but the mAh rating stays the same as only one cell.
In parallel, the mAh is cumulative but the voltage stays the same as only one cell.
      2x 4000mAh cells in parallel would be 3.6v nominal, 4.2v maximum @ 8000mAh.
      5x 4000mAh cells in series x2 parallel rows = 18volts nominal, 21volts maximum @8000mAh.🤣👍

40 amps? Seriously, who do you want to see the silly face of, that at most gives you 8 amps because each battery is 4 amps. what a vile lie and no bms balancer? And even less with that module it does not even give you the 8 direct amps from the battery, what a scam

If you don't have enough concept you shouldn't talk!
This module is built with cell balancer and the capacity of the whole package is equal to 3,7V 40Ah Power Bank!
I did not say that this module can supply 40 or 8A current!
And in the picture you can see that I wrote 18V 8Ah, which total power is 144W. If you want to see my face check the community section!

@@ErCanEverything IT IS SERIOUS NOT EVEN THE WHOLE PACKAGE IS GOING TO GIVE YOU 40 AMPS YOU NEVER JUST PUT TWO BETRIAS IN PARALLEL AND EACH ONE IS 4 AMPS THERE YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE VIDEO WHEN YOU SHOW THEM AND THEN YOU CONNECTED THEM IN SERIES THAT ONLY RISES THE VOLTAGE BUT IT CONTINUES TO HOLD THE SAME AMPERAGE IS 18 VOLTS AT 8 AMPS NOTHING MORE AND YOU CAN INCREASE THE VOLTAGE WITH THE BOSTER UP BUT WITH THE SAME AMPERAGE. HAA I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT I AM AN ELECTRONICS ENGINEER AND YOUR VIDEO APPEARED AS A SUGGESTION ON TH-cam AND IN YOUR VIDEO IT SAYS THAT 40,000 mamp

I would have used thicker cables for the high voltage .

    • @ErCanEverything
      @ErCanEverything  ปีที่แล้ว +2

The thickness of the cables is not important for the voltage, unlike the current.
On the positive and negative outputs, I put thicker ones than the other 4 for balancing, because no large current flows from the balancing cables.
But still, thick cables are always better🙂🤝

Why not print with black filament, is a lot less work, and is cheaper then painting it black, i have:
    Black
    White
    Green
    Red
    Yellow
    brown
    blue
    Orange
    Purple
    Gray
Then you do not have to pint it, i have most of the colors, even if i almost never use them, it's better to have it than
not have it, and needing it.

    • @ErCanEverything
      @ErCanEverything  ปีที่แล้ว +2

You are absolutely right about that!
I decided to do it this way because the quality of the print was not perfect and I had to sand and after painting it was smoother🙂
