Punching really helps anxiety, stress and anger. Recently I tried punching and I was only punching air as I do not have a punching bag. In less than 15 minutes, most of my anxiety and anger is gone. This is unbelievable.

I just wanted to thank you for this video. I am a Counselling student and am very interested in incorporating punching during my sessions with some of my clients. Potentially releasing trapped energy in the body that was created through a traumatic event. Due to the freeze response or lack of strength they were not able to fight back.

That’s really interesting. I taught a self defense workshop a few years ago and met a woman who had a freeze response while witnessing her friend being assaulted. She talked about how learning and practicing the striking techniques was very therapeutic for her.

Like Broly going berzerk and learning how to control the energy.

Anger isn't positive or negative. It's an emotion. Why are we always trying to demonize a human emotion?

Those who demonize the anger emotion have a place. When they speak out it causes those who defend anger emotion to speak out..all apart of nature..both sides have a role to play..make sure you play your role as good as the other or better.

Some people have a lot of social anxiety or can't afford. Definitely should a goal for anyone as a next step.

The heavy bag is a good start but most people have the wrong technique and could lead to injury for example hurting your wrist if not properly wrapped etc.
If/when you join a gym yes you’ll feel much better especially in an environment that can actually help things like social anxiety. Shop gyms around if cost is a concern. I’d think of it more like an investment than a cost.
