My ranking (disclaimer, this is an opinion and you don't have to agree): #1 B (Where on Earth did this masterpiece come from?) #2 BIS (Fire) #3 DT (Also Fire) #4 PiT (Underrated) #5 SS (Dance) #6 PJ (It's got a good drive) They're all good songs but Brothership's new theme has a jazzy opening, and it brings back the accordion from BIS.
Hearing it on it's own I thought of Brotherhood's battle theme to be much different from all of the others but hearing them together it really does sound like a Mario & Luigi battle theme!
People hate on both Dream Team and Paper Jam way too much. Played through Paper Jam last year and I was shocked how good it was compared to what the internet said about it. Yeah it doesn’t have original characters but it did put familiar characters under a new light and we got to see them in new scenarios. Some of these characters include the koopalings, king Bob omb, nabbit, the charging chucks etc And the hate for Dream Team is ridiculous. I think the only issue I had with it was pacing and the giant battles. The pacing wasn’t horrendous but the game did start to drag on, especially after the ultibed. Giant battles, I was never fond of them. Even in BiS I found them a bit too gimmicky but they ain’t that bad because they don’t happen that often

yeah, I'm almost finished with the game and it's really not bad. it took what BiS did, and expanded upon it. the music is so good too. I wouldn't say better than BiS's ost, but it's still great. the entire ost reminds me of another game that Shimomura composed for, being Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. the only real issue I have with the game is that alphadream mixed the audio awfully. the sound effects are *way* too quiet, and the music is way too loud.

Bowser’s Inside Story! I mean it’s an absolute banger and it’s so satisfying! It sounds so fun and definitely catches the vibe of both Mario and Luigi fighting, as well as Bowser! 3. Brothership! While it’s definitely not the best we’ve gotten, I think it’s pretty good! It catches that vibe of a sea shanty and still sounds like a class Mario and Luigi battle theme while also capturing something new, which definitely fits what they were going for in this game. 4. Superstar Saga! I mean it’s a classic! It’s not that I don’t think this song is really good and that deserves to be up there with the others, I just personally like the other themes more. This was, like many others’, my first Mario and Luigi game, and this battle theme will always be nostalgic to me! 5. Partners is Time! I’ll be honest, I didn’t really notice this theme that much while playing, but hearing it here I do think it definitely almost captures the vibe of two Italian Brothers fighting alongside their baby counterparts, I just don’t think it fully does the trick for me. Still good though! 6. Paper Jam! It’s not that I don’t like this theme or the game itself, while it’s probably the worst out of all of them, I still thoroughly enjoyed Paper Jam. I just don’t think this theme is that good when compared to the rest, and it does slightly bother me that it sounds so off tune. I don’t know, I still like it, just significantly less than the others.
Paper Jam has the third best OST, you are just hating because everyone else does. Its really not a bad game. And it even has the second best final battle theme!

My tearlist: 1: Dream team, no questions asked and it has two versions instead of one 2: Bowsers inside story, Great music for a great game 3: Brothership, I really didn’t enjoy at first but it has grown on me for awhile now so it goes here 4: Superstar Saga, it’s the OG and is great for its time but not worthy of top 3 5: Paper Jam, controversial pick but Paper Jam isn’t so bad, sure the story itself was bad but the music makes up for it 6: Partners in time, I honestly don’t know why but there is something in the Partners in time OST which doesn’t sound quite right but I’m not saying I hate it but I just can’t help but stand the fact that it sticks out weirdly

Dream Team is the Super Paper Mario of Mario and Luigi, everybody dunks of them, but they are lowkey the most based Mario games.
