      I didn't pay $200 but $130 for some butterfly locs. But I want to learn how to do these myself bc the lady who did mine is a 30yr licensed beautician who combed through my hair so rough. I'm praying that I don't have any bald spots in my head when I take them out. I understand with me being natural my texture is more course than relaxed but that's still not a reason to comb so roughly through someone hair; literally pulling on it until I could feel the tension in my scalp. It will be a LONG while before I left anyone back on my head. Some are more focused on the style& don't give a durn about the damage they're doing to someone's hair. I refuse to pay someone money like that to make me bald.

    Braiding it in singles then cornrowing those singles is such a smart idea! Bc then it would be harder to tell that it’s crocheted. Love this

    I just tried this and I love it. My only advice is to commit to braiding each square. It makes the locks look realistic and prevents extra bulking when covering up cornrows.

    • @JasmineDefined
      @JasmineDefined  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely! You’ll use less hair that way, also. 💕

    • @gossipchoppedandsrewed7410
      @gossipchoppedandsrewed7410 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@haneefahpoole4859 in the video she started with the individual braids and toward the back she did cornrows ( to save time) when I did it I kept the individual braid pattern throughout my whole head. Once your new growth comes in it’s hard to tell it’s not natural. I got so many compliments on this style and it lasted 8 weeks. Plus you use less hair which gives it a more realistic look

    Love this!! I’m going to try. I think I’m going to try to make the parts a tad bit bigger then you made yours in the front. Do you think it would still work?

      Sure, and that will make it easier to pull the locs through.

    Great video! I want to try this but I had a question…Which crochet hook is this? I want to try this but not sure which hook I should get. I didn’t see the link in the description. Thanks in advance!

    Short hair shaved sides, can I use the cornrows from front to back, or better the way you did it? Can they get wet, I want this for my vacation

    Wow, I've seen your pic used for so many hair supply sites. I hope you are getting paid for that. Anyway, thanks, I was starting to panic with my installation, until I saw this video. Great tutorial.
