I like the not so shiny look with locs. It definitely gives them the more natural look. That loop was hella small, it’s good the loop was able to be stretched! They are bomb and super full! The length is everything.
How long did last
The shine is temporary! It will def fade and start to look more natural as the days go by (fyi for anyone now)

Omg these crochet lox are beautiful apart from the stupid tiny hole that they are expecting you to pull 24” of butterfly lox thro?!!!!! I bet it took a good 15-20 minutes prepin the lox just to get the faux lox thro it!. Apart from that the end result is absolutely BOMB 💣.

Ikr!!? I'm torn but I can actually say the shiny ones look more natural. The nice things is with you can use coconut oil and when you don't want the shine just wash it out? That's what I'm going to try if I get them

how do you prevent the braids from slipping out of the loc after installation?

I've tried and tried but I can't do that pull through method not sure if it depends on the hair you purchase or what but it tangles and get stuck and doesn't pull through I'm so over it 🤣 But u make it look easy so hands down!!!
Could it be your hook? Maybe use two hooks, large and small. Make a path through the loc with the large and do the work with small? Maybe?

Hey Ik what you’re having trouble with, when you braid you hair in one direction try pushing the crochet hook through the opposite direction. That’s what worked for me👍

I don't cut the faux locs when i remove them that way i don't cut my hair, and I can reuse the faux locs (after washing them).
I know none is gonna see this but Seeing someone do hair videos and has many subscribers really inspired me to start my own channel right now I have zero subscribers, it’s killing me im so unmotivated to continue if only I could have at least 20 subscribers for a start 😞

I got the same exact hairstyle and it looks nothing like this..
I will just do this for that one back row of my hair. Then the front I’ll do the box part/french braid. I’m going to just combine the two methods so when I wear my hair in a ponytail it’ll look more natural
