My gmc wouldn’t start on the first try I used carb cleaner for like a minute long on top of the pcv valve on top of it and it worked it starts like 2007
Thanks for the video. My 2012 GMC Sierra has this same sensor, PN# 13500745 Is this the same sensor that detects the amount of alcohol in our gasoline??? Did you have any symptoms other than the check engine light??
Awesome video! I need help. I am getting a steady 45 psi on my car 2011 suburban 5.3. I feel like its dumping fuel because my fuel gauge goes down more than normal. I see everyone else mention 50 to 60 at the rails but i am using my expensive x431 scan tool to check everything. All of a sudden after 1 month of using e85 its been extremely bad. Fuel gauge drops fast. I cant find no wet fuel leaks by the engine compartment. My mpg normal at 15 to 18. Now feels like 6. I am also using a scan gauge to read the mpgs and its not bad hwy is 18mpg both dash and scan gaugeii. What the hell is there a small leak some where only when its on?
I have not had the code return. My next try was going to be the pump module. But that was much more expensive than the sensor so I tried that first. Been driving it now for a few months without issue.
Best bet is to go to a chevy dealer. I know it sucks, and I dont like going, but go to a well known, good reviewes one. After several attempts, my local shop couldn't figure it out, so they just kept charging me more and more. Got it at a Chevy dealerz fixed first time no problems.
2011 Tahoe 5.3 no engine light or codes but noticed first start when cold a slight hesitation before it starts. Bought one of these sensors but can not figure out the release tab on the connector. Any helpful information is appreciated. Rich
WELL!! GOT IT!! Slide small thin flat blade screwdriver in from top of connector just behind first thin lock tab and pull apart. With 5/8” open end unscrew sensor from fuel line fitting. Make sure Oring is still in place at base of fitting. Threads are not tapered. Just tighten new sensor on Oring seal snap on connector your done. 😊
my 2011 sierra is doing this. when i slightly press the gas it wants to fight to accelerate and bog down but when wide open throttle it does fine. ive also noticed a decrease in fuel mileage. did your tahoe do this?
@@theitkamp55 I'm getting ready to install a custom fuel system in my truck and wanted to keep that sensor in the same spot. Wanted to know the thread pitch so I can buy the right adapter and fitting
Thanks for the video. I also got the same two error codes on my 2008 Suburban. Now I know which part to replace. Thank you!
same codes on my 07 silverado. i'll give this a shot thank you.
Awesome content. I have a 2007 GMC Sierra with same problem. Ordered my part from O'Rileys....GM part and completely fixed the issue......10 min job.

One evening of running errands and the codes have not returned.
That's great news. Thanks for the uodate.

What tools were needed
Any symptoms?
Mines is a hard start
good fuel pressure sensor replacement # 👍🇵🇰
How much fuel leaked? Or does it vary based on how much fuel the vehicle has
Just whatever is in the line. I don't think it was a cup full
Unplug battery or not

Did you figure it out
Does a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 also have this part? I am getting the same two codes.
I have capris 2013 can find same part because i had same problem
Have you had any issues since? I had codes p069E and p0191. Shop replaced my fuel pump driver module thinking that was the problem but code came back.

No symptoms that I noticed, just the CEL

The sensor was the fix. No more hesitation to start on first start.
No telling how much money was saved by watching this video.
THANKS AGAIN $$$&

Question, do you need to disconnect the battery while you do this?
I didn't.
Update?
Can’t find it un a 2007 Yukon xl any other place it could be located
I got a 08 Yukon xl and it was in that same spot it just looked kinda backwards from the video
Thanks bro u save me money ✌️✌️✌️✌️
Did it it fix it
Yes sir. This solved my issue. Cheap and easy fix this time.
Did you have to depressurize the fuel system before you leave this job?
I did not de pressurize. Not much fuel came out but do be careful not to get it in your eyes!
Will this work for a 08 gmc yukon xl
Same parts/ system. It's worth a try.
@@theitkamp55 thanks bro its worked same process for 08 yukon xl
Would this work on a 2007 Silverado?
Not 100% sure but I'd guess they'd be the same.
would you happen to know the thread pitch on that sensor?
No I don't. And I threw the old one away so I can't measure that one.
Out of curiosity, why do you ask?

Did that sensor have your truck saying reduce engine power
@@lamarpritchett3045 my 08 GMC Sierra did that. I changed the throttle position sensor, problem solved.
No, no reduced power, just threw the check engine light.
Will this work for a 2007 Chevy Tahoe
Should be the same
Do you happen to know where it’s located on the 2007 Tahoe

Thank you. Your video was very helpful. I followed your methods and it was just as you said. Great job.
