what kind of keycaps model should i look for when i want to replace it?
and are they 3pin or 5pin?
Hello! There are different types of “profiles” for keycaps. I would recommend you look up “keycap profiles” on Google for more specifics on that. Whatever you choose to go with though should be solely based on personal preference.🙂
For mechanical switches, replacing those with another type of switch is easier with a hot swap keyboard than it is with soldered keyboards. If you’re looking to swap out the switches for new ones, then you should go with whatever your keyboard supports. (A lot of hot swap keyboards take both 3 and 5 pin switches, but 5 pin switches are generally considered more “stable” when positioned in the PCB. I hope this helps and thanks for the questions! 🤜🤛
