    Question, Is there a reason you picked Godox vs. Flashpoint?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Same brand, I use both. The nice thing about flashpoint is that you get Adorama warranty.

    It doesn't come with the rings in a single flash kit right?

    • @ArtIsRight

      I don't believe so, however, I would double check

    Thanks for the review, really appreciate it. Do these flashes have slave mode, so that we can use it with flashes from other brands..

    Amazing video! I was wondering will this flash work with a leica q/q2?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The flash is independent, so what you need in a controller / commander unit. Godox might makes one for Leica, I would check. Also if that happens to be the same hot shoe as the L mount systems then you can just get the commander unit for L mount. I would check. :)

    do the MF12 support High speed sync ? I'm using the Nikon Z7ii and I cant make it work with a shutter speed 1/250s or faster !

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does, so a few things to double check, make sure that HSS is enabled in Nikon Custom Menu, HSS has to be enabled on the Godox commander unit as well. One more thing to check in the lens that you are using. Anything 23 and wider from my experience will have issue with HSS

      @@ArtIsRight I did all of those things and still nothing ! p.s: I am using the Laowa 58mm macro lens which is fully manual so no com between the lens and my nikon Z7ii. I still don't understand why I can't flash when faster than 1/200s ! I use the Godox X-ProN btw!

    Interestingly I get overexposure in TTL on my NIkon Z5 using a Godox V860ii as well. I think I will still get the MF12 though just to use in manual mode.

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on the setup, when it come to things like this I use Manual. But so far I have been able to get shots with various godox TTL without too much issues.

    Does the mounts seem sturdy enough to hold up if you bump it against something? Godox seems to making some impressive stuff at a good price point.

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They should be able to hold the light just fine. It might swing or spin around a little but that is an easy fix.

    • @Flexogram
      @Flexogram ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArtIsRight How can I fix it?

    • @Patto2276
      @Patto2276 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Flexogram The problem is, the flashes can be mounted backward. Make sure to mount them in the correct orientation and you'll have no problem.

    Can a Canon trigger fire these Godox MF12’s?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Canon OEM, I don't believe so, if you have a Godox for Canon camera trigger yes.

    • @cerec69
      @cerec69 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArtIsRight I’m interested in using the MF12’s on a lens but also using some distance OCF with existing Canon EX600 RT’s. So a Godox trigger on my Canon 5DIV.

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These can be trigger by Godox with out any issues. I am not sure if Godox will trigger EX600RT or not. I would double check but if it works then great!

    • @impastorscott
      @impastorscott 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArtIsRight I would use the Godox trigger for the MF12's (and any other Godox products) and slave out the EX600 RT's.

    Godox triggers are known for having issues when their flashes are very close to the camera. Do you need to make any changes to the trigger for it to work so closely or is there a firmware upgrade to make these work more seamlessly?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I had no issues of that sort in my testing, everything works fine. Also I haven't firmware update the trigger but everything still works.

      @@ArtIsRight Thanks for the great review. I have a Godox X1T and I got this info from the Rob Trek channel. Press and hold the TEST button while powering on trigger. Should see status light blink twice.

      Try the Nikon sbr200. 2 stops more power. Much more accurate and consistent. And exptemely reliable unlike the Godox I have tried. I have a couple of SBR200's that I have been using for almost 20 years - many tens of thousands of flashes. And still worked like new when I used them this morning. I gave away the MF12 flashes.
