I bought this kit after watching your vid sometime this spring. This first flash I’ve ever bought, too. Since I have no experience with anything else, I can’t critique the Godox. I can however relate that I’ve been more than happy that I bought them. They feel solid, high quality, well made. If there were one improvement I might wish for, it would unsurprisingly be the flashes' recharge time. Solid thumbs up on your review.
Godox are taking it to the competition and spanking them. Just picked up 2 ad400 pros and are exceptional, compliment my ad200 pros wonderfully. These new flashes look exceptional too, mighty impressed with godox.
Hey it is possible use this flash just like normal flash for photography people ? Have zoom adjustments and power from (1-256, 1-1) ? For sure from godox trigger I looking for small compact flash for portrait especially I would like to hold it in hand
Greetings from Costa Rica. I am currently opening macro photography tours at night in my nearby rainforest. My company is lending during the trip all gear such as tripods, macro lens, even cameras and including R1C1 from Nikon which uses very expensive batteries and hard to find too. And I am tired of this. I saw the video talking about lithium batteries which I would like to hear more about on how many flashes/images per charge and the recycling time of them. Thanks a lot. Randall Ortega Chaves. Very helpful video. Moving on to GODOX.
When will they be available. They would be awesome for lighting small places in a scene. A cubby in a bookcase, a set of flowers close to a model. A book.
@@GODOXGlobal Nice, Look forward to using them in portraits. With the other Godox flashes I have. Which is every flash you make. Have a conference coming up and it would have been nice to show them off there. About 3000 photographers and 300 models. With 4 days worth of classes. P.S. when are they coming out with strip softboxes and box softboxes with the Godox mount.
Saw it on IG.. I want all 6 of them.. I wonder if the mount would work with my Tamron 90mm Macro G2. Just saw, 62mm.. nice it will. The asshole in me wants to use this to shoot live club events & get up in ppl's faces with 6 at once like PaPoW!
Only limiting factor is that those flash batteries are built in and I would want more than 500 shots on a long macro field day in my run and gun style with live subjects. Should have had half body snap in batteries so that you have spares to take more shots as you do in macro at 1:1 or greater. I'm not one of those who uses a tripod as i find it slow and cumbersome when chasing invertebrates.
The fact he misnames the diffuser (which doesn't do a good job at that) as an "extreme closeup positioning adapter" doesn't bode will for the rest of the video.
That flash mount looks flimsy, it will probably get loose quickly. The other thing, you don't want all that weight pushing on the tip of your lens, especially if it's one of the macro lenses with a long extending barrel, it might impede with focusing motor as well.
interesting, that you show this ring light flash, on a Nikon, as they have their own R1C1 flash kit, which by the way this godox looks a close knock off of this exact model, and the accessories which come with it, NO pop up flash diffuser, but all the rest!!

Fabulous video thank you so much David
Very welcome

Amazing video.
But I just wonder which macro rail did you use here in this video?
Would you please share?
I really need to know if these units can be charged whilst in operation?
Absolutely stunning
Can I use this flash while charging?
Can this flash do hss for outdoor photography?
Thanks for the video! Major thanks to Godox! I want this setup big time!
Hey can you send us a link about the stand the holds your subject! Great vid! Thanks!
Adding 6 flashes on the lens. would it not add some extra weight on the lens connector.
How do you keep the ring from spinning on the lens adapter?
What this guy said.
@@Twothenines I just put a couple of small pieces of gaffers tape on the adapter, and that keeps it from spinning.
does it support Z6 ttl features?
Great product video showing the porduct in action - i love macro flashes - so finally one with wireless communication
Well done. Very inspiring to lure those in doubt. Thank you.

Very good presentation. Thank you! Excellent pics! SUBSCRIBED!
excellent video, placed my order for a set of 2 :)

Hi @mverick160, glad that you like our #MF12. They will be available at our retailers at the end of this month.

Is there a high speed sync function?
No.
Does the MF12 has HSS?
No HSS or FP, so I don''t like it.
@@jonathanyu308 just got mine, pretty nice and good power.
@@jonathanyu308 For what purpose? The flash(es) will freeze the subject.
Very instructive, thanks!
super tuto
can we use for video thanks
They have modeling lights, so yes.
Out of the topic.. what macro lens he used?

👍👍👍
I need one :) they seem I can hide them everywhere.
True, they are small enough to hide them everywhere:)
I personally prefer the ring type.
So, it doesn't come with the trigger 😒
True, but they would just add the cost to the kit. But for people like me, already invested in the system, that's actually a good thing.
Seems like a good product but the images in the video are bad in my opinion. Only the last one or two were good demo of the flash
I was thinking the same thing.
Looks like an excellent product, a little dissapointed by accesories, I would have liked better diffusers, different arms and more...
Too bad this doesn't have High Speed Sync with would be useful in ready bright light!

the fact that this is the exact wording used by Godox to describe these devices in their manual doesn't bode well for your ability to critique....

Well, it hasn't been a problem for the Nikon R1C1 for the past 16 years. :)
They're very light.

Useless without HSS...
Why? Several people have said that, but I've never missed it and can't even imagine a scenario where it would be useful.
@@Patto2276 Why do we have to settle for 1/200s ? It may not be necessary in a studio but not always enough in outdoor shooting conditions
